    I know it's twice as expensive but the new EG4 6000xp's are the sheeeet, 120V/240V and 6k watts output. One unit would be perfect for your homestead setup. I have two on my house working together to give me 12k watts and that covers just about all of my power needs provided the sun comes out lol

      @@IAmYourReflection Same thing everyone does who has solar, option 1: Oversize your solar array so that even on cloudy days it makes thousands of watts, option 2: Have a backup Generator preferably a dual fuel one to keep your options open :)

      @@user-kl4vd4gg3u what should I be looking for when buying solar panels? I’m building a 1200sqft home out in the country and I’m considering going off grid instead of paying the electric company 8-10k to run power to my house and cut down a bunch of trees in the process. Thanks 👍👍

    Understand when your mis-matching panels the current will be limited to the panel with lowest current output, what are the specs on all the panels you have in series

    • @OKLAHOMAOFFGRID
      @OKLAHOMAOFFGRID  Місяць тому +1

      That's only when you're Mitch matching them and you run them in parallel... If you run them in series and one panel is 52 volts and the other panel is 48 volts you're still going to get 100 v between the two of them... If you ran those same panels in parallel you're going to come up with the lower voltage of 48 especially when you put the load on it

      This is the second one I have installed one of them on lithium batteries and the other on the lead acid here... And I have to say the price for it being an all-in-one is really good. And so far we're going on 8 months without any problems on the other system I built and the inverter has been on day and night now for the whole 8 months without a flaw

    Phew, you were warm. Swamp cooler in case the air conditioner goes kaput. Freeze flexible ice packs that are eight or so inches long and put one on the back of the neck or up under the hat for a bit. Cold water sure helps when it is hot out. Looks like 120F or hotter in the shade for you. 🥵

      Not sure what part of oklahoma he is but as somebody who lives on the AR/OK border a swamp cooler is just gonna make it worse. You do not want to be adding to the already annoying humidity. Its been in the upper 90's lately but the humidity puts it into the 110-115 for "feels like"
      A fan will help. A swamp cooler just makes it worse.

    Should’ve gotten a 6000xp. 240 and 120 output without the high idle power consumption of the 3000. The 3000 has the same idle consumption as the 6000 and the 6000xp is like half of either of them.

I found out that the ground between the two are connected... I also found out that the ground rod with the ground wire is also to be connected to the ground screw on the body...
