I’ve been learning it and the timing on Winter mantis is a little tricky. I think after he got Sickle Flash, he input Winter Cherry the moment Elphelt was low enough to the ground or touched the ground, giving him the “Yes” version, and then waited for the animation for Winter Cherry to finish or wait for Elphelt to descend a little so that he had the window to input Winter Mantis. I’m not sure if its character dependent.
For reference if you land a C.S > 2H or 2H into 214S mid screen you can extend with 2K into 214S rekka series for more corner carry. If the 2H counter hits you can C.S 66 C.S 6H 214S S P H for half their life. In the corner you can c.S 2H 214H C.S 6H 214S S H and also nuke their health. Iunno who thisll help.
not to be 🤓, but I think c.S -> 214S -> 2K only works on air hit unfortunately. Also you can cancel 214S~P or K into super which is super cool, its kinda tight but if you mess it up you get 214S~H which is fine

Axl finally has reliable blockstring ender, since 5H can't be used after 2K/2D, and rainwater loses to air grab. Tornado can be a new option to catch people try to air grab rainwater.

I found it from Churara’s video that actually when she continues to the overhead follow up, if you blocked the “here I go” in crouching, she gets -1F, which means there is gap you can DP. Even you can't stop she do "here I go", there is still a way out. But the thing is the first “here I go” is only -2 on block, Elphelt can choose not do any follow up and bait out DP. Therefore, it’s another way out that you can do, but risk is way bigger than reward in my opinion. Better try to punish with 5p or 2p because depends on character, you can still do some damage to make sure they will think about whether it’s worthy to do the rekka.
@@Null834asuka was very touchable. You just had to know how to play against him which is asking too much from the community. Otherwise Gobou wouldn't lose as often as he does when he streams.
@@hakumenx1 stop the cap, the amount of work one had to do to get in on asuka was ridiculous and once you did he had mana to tank all the damage and so many universal defensive options to put you right back at range ex; burst, RC,FD. He was busted he had ridiculous zoning and pressure with no risk, you couldn’t instant air dash his buttons like you could vs Axl if you got a read because his spells covered every range besides super jump and that was so slow you would never get a punish.
@@Null834not really. The only time the "work" was ridiculous is if you lost the early game. If he lost the early game he just died, again gobou lost quite often in tower. Most Asukas die faster for less. I play Asuka so i know how to stomp them into the dirt. Even got 1 to rq on my channel. Most asukas are straight up trash, myself included, compared to the only 2 good ones. Most of you complaining never ran into a good one, most of you just refused to learn how to put their faces into the concrete.
Elphelt makes May and Ram feel like Asuka, probably the easiest and dumbest character in GG history. The only thing they had to do was to avoid making a 1 button press gapless rekka and they did.
for the average player (the majority playing this game) that gap might as well be 0 imo it’s just pure, automatic, easily executed RPS pressure and guaranteed damage
