I appreciate Geoff's cantor about maximum lifts: there's no need for natural lifters to add lifting dysmorphia on top of body dysmorphia - let's give eazhother a break: if it's heavy for you, its heavy for you.Great collaboration
Geoffrey is the most trustworthy person in all media..like his replies on Quora. His eyes are honest. Maybe one of the funniest fitness man too. Thanks for all the info AlphaDestiny
Dang, that smile when he talked about you being a platform for other content creators. I remember back a long time ago, I don't remember when, back before I even started lifting, you mentioned wanting to create a community of natural lifters, for natural lifters. Knowing that people who didn't know that goal think that you've accomplished that, I'm sure, feels amazing.
Geoff may say that he’s not educated, but he does sound like it. He’s able to articulate words pretty well and get to his point pretty quickly while adding in some humor. I enjoy his content as well so I’m glad you are continuing interviews to help the newer generation make fewer mistakes through their journey. I’ll check out your other videos, but I respect you for doing this. There is no incentive, but it helps people wade through bullshit advice from other people. So thanks
A lot of guys can identify with him i think, he is very non "gym-bro-ish" and starting from the novice level and working himself up with very serious intent. The "thinking man's lifter" kind of, with a healthy dose of humour.
Fitness is such a hard sell: do something painful, grueling, difficult, and time consuming for little short term results. Exponentially increase the difficulty for advanced results.
@AlphaDestiny these interviews are revealing that deep within this shallow, superficial internet culture we call the fitness industry, still exists a community of natural lifters. You're literally bring it together. I'm not sure if this is some goal of yours, but regardless, I respect it. I'm a natty at 25 who's been training since age 18. Lately I've been finding out I'm one of the only nattys at my gym (that looks like they lift I mean). My own cousin who I been training for three months, who's been making great gains btw, has been thinking hopping on testosterone. I literally witnessed a convo he had with a friend of his at our gym about how to get it. This idiot was telling me he takes t cus his Crohn's disease. Meanwhile he has capped Delts, backne, and doesn't know how to train. He preaches to my cousin to do 5 sets of 30, and only does fluff and pump. My cousin thinks he has bad genetics and possibly low T because he can only rep out a plate on the bench and is skinny. Meanwhile, he's only been lifting since September. This is the current state of young lifters alpha, and it's fucken sad. Sorry for the novel lol
Yeah, this interview really revealed a lot to me and affirmed that I'm definitely on the right path. I never considered doing 'roids bc I never really needed them. I know how much work I still need to put in to get to my goals and build a truly top level physique. Anyways, Geoff raised the point that being on roids is like being trapped. They can never go off bc they'll get significantly smaller if they do. So they have to keep injecting and killing themselves. Being natural, I don't have to worry about any of that. I can just imagine reverting back to a skinny DYEL and man, my mental health would be hell. It's one thing to be skinny, but to go back to that, wow. You can even see someone like Natural Gallant - who's of older age - he maintained a lot of his muscle that he gained when he was young. Roids are the worst thing you can do for bodybuilding. I wonder how all these phenomenal bodybuilders felt when they had to come off & their physiques couldn't even compete with top naturals. Just look at Arnold off-cycle in his movie days. Sorry to compete with you on writing a novel but I just felt this huge drawback to 'roids needs to be called out. Too many ppl think they need to take 'roids when they just need to get (much) smarter at training and be patient. Seven months is a lot of time, but I hope you and your cousin are doing well
@@texasbeaver8188 man what’s crazy is that these juicers don’t even look good to the average person. When you see these massive dudes in normal clothes they just look goofy. And I've had a similar experience to you. Many clothes I used to wear, I can't even wear them anymore. My shoulders fill all my shirts out now and I usually get looks when I'm outside, all thanks to lifting. (They said Steve Reeves would cause car accidents when he walked topless, lol.) I've no one else to tell this to so I'm saying it here. I visited my doctor for the first time in about 5 years today (I'm a man and yes I should go more regularly). He asked me if I was taking testosterone as a general question. He said he wouldn't be surprised if I was because the gyms are full of it. That my friends is a win for the nattys doing the grind year after year. ❤️
I live in Hollywood and all these influencer guys work out in my gym. They are TINY in real life. Put simply, you look better with clothes on at higher body weight/fat and with clothes off when you’re tiny. Both are fine - but I like the middle. And I agree - more muscle let’s you get away with higher BF
Alex, I’ve been watching your channel since I was about 14, so about the last 8 years on and off and it is amazing to see you become the person you are today. Keep it up, you inspire so many people.
I am around 12% after a long cut and i felt that it isn't worth to suffer more just to be a bit more lean. If i would do it on a professional level i could understand it, but as a normal guy who is just in to fitness for himself i am pretty happy and on my way to start bulking now.
So nice to hear the down to earth discussion with lifts versus size. Limb length and leverages can really do some funny things. With longer arms, deadlift comes super easy to me, but bench is a bit more difficult.
I'm just commenting for the algorithm because I think that both of these channels are hidden gems and should be the main youtube fitness channels for nattys
Thanks Alex for this free content 💪. Having Geoffrey, and Natural Hypertrophy on your channel. More people should follow them, very underrated youtubers.
Awesome one! Already listening the second time to it...a lot of golden nuggets in there! Please keep those "discussions" with other youtuber who are on the same path as you....already great!!!
Thank you for giving a platform for smaller high quality natty channels. There is too much bullshit content that hurts the community. I'm very happy about the rise of great channels such as yours, sean nahlewanij and others. I have been trapped in the beginner phase and had a big plateau for half a year because I didn't know how to train, and I was still a beginner. I'm way stronger now and making faster progress, mostly thanks to channels that good information. So, thank you :)

I went through a bad breakup and im getting to be an old fart, 44 lol. Lifting has been my solace through that. Geoffrey does know his shit.
Alex, you should consider having Aaron Maltz of FitLabb on your pod! He’s a lifetime natural who has been training for well over 20 years. Super genuine dude, with a lot of wisdom to share. Anyway, keep up the great work with the pod 💪🤓
This made my day to see Tom! Proud to call you a friend, & I share the same respect for you & what you’re doing. I’d also add that you would be a great candidate for the same, as you have your own unique perspectives & experiences to share that could be especially interesting & helpful to beginners as you more directly experienced the negative influences from “social media fitness” prior to coming into your own as a fitness professional. I think your background & experiences can be very powerful to share.
@@FitLabb the fact that you haven’t been on a big podcast yet is a crime! It won’t be long now. Appreciate your kindness and willingness to build others up, Aaron! Truly a real one 🙌
Video suggestion : top 10 real naturals with amazing results 👍
GVS with his meticulous measuremens reminds me of the story of some Icelandic hermit that meticulously measured the snowfall, only for scientists to find it and fill their data on the past 😅
Get sean nalewanyj on a podcast
so just add a "?" behind the title and you are on the save side and don´t sell your soul. "deadlifts are killing your gains (?)"
I've no one else to tell this to so I'm saying it here. ❤️
That's great, man! Keep at it. 💪
First natural hypertrophy, now Geoffrey? Damn Alex, you're making amazing crossovers!
Alex, I’ve been watching your channel since I was about 14, so about the last 8 years on and off and it is amazing to see you become the person you are today. Keep it up, you inspire so many people.
Geoff is on a mission to assemble his own team of Natty Avengers.
Natty is not enough, gotta be vegan too
These discussions are so valuable
I'd be interested in you hosting multiple people at once (albeit, difficult with time zones)
I am around 12% after a long cut and i felt that it isn't worth to suffer more just to be a bit more lean. If i would do it on a professional level i could understand it, but as a normal guy who is just in to fitness for himself i am pretty happy and on my way to start bulking now.
One of the best collaborations (along with NH) in fitness
So nice to hear the down to earth discussion with lifts versus size. Limb length and leverages can really do some funny things. With longer arms, deadlift comes super easy to me, but bench is a bit more difficult.
What a beast Schofield is. As is my Greek boy Alex! Excellent collaboration guys. Both inspirational.
From the Athens Fan club
That left pic in the thumbnail is poster worthy
I'm just commenting for the algorithm because I think that both of these channels are hidden gems and should be the main youtube fitness channels for nattys
This Geoffrey dude definitely looks natural.
Geoff has damn good bodybuilding genetics IMO. Looks great
Thank you for doing these recently. Looking forward to more
People need to stop vilifying making money. If someone thinks money is evil then they have never given a lot of money away or helped people with money. They probably believe money only benefits them.
Depends entirely on how you make it.
@@GVS obviously I’m not saying, sell drugs to kids so one can have money to donate to orphanages etc. I’m just speaking in general and not to anyone specifically. Just a lot of people seem to think money in general is bad.
@@DrTopLiftDPT I'd agree wholeheartedly, then.
Exploitation should be vilified
@@DondiWhiteRIP for sure
Absolutely loving these collabs! It's exactly what we need.
1:23:04 that with love handles. I noticed that when standing with chest up (yknow, good posture) the love handles are stretched out and appear smaller.
NH in the ab video pointed out that eating less doesn't fix belly fat. ab training makes abs larger which = muscles bulge through fat (which would also stretch out the fat more)
O glorious bodybuilding you never seize give gifts
150 lean without ever lifting is insane
I was 140 at 6’1” and not even lean at 23 years old
In this video, I learned you can progressive overload by being fast at multiplying or dividing by 2.2.
Yo, thanks for adding the timestamps. Not everyone has time to watch a long video in one go and the timestamps are super helpful for skipping to personally relevant topics
this is exactly what I NEED to hear. thank you!
I'm glad someone said it finally... that allot of these Influencers try to keep their customer base dependent on them.
About retaining audience, there is always NH who just talk to the camera and have like 2 minute pauses
Don’t know about beginners not pushing hard I first time working out I pushed hard to point of my entire body being sore cuz I worked out for 2 hrs that day
based!!
This was a great collab guys. Geoff really showed his knowledge here.
Alex please interview jeff nippard
@80k vs 81k the strength difference is so much. For me
Geoffrey where can i send you a dollar to buy a clock battery?😀
it's 2021 bro we got phones :)
Dang it! I finished the video already :/
christmas came early
geofrey shitting on greg's book is how I found him. So funny that Greg got me smarter with nutrition, but Geoffrey was a great source for me to stay grounded as a natural lifter.
Geoffrity is one of the good ones.
dont risk the harm of SARMs to charm your arms into farms :D
G.V.S the one eyes milkman
you guys make me feel safe being in a world of fake people who will do anything to use peoples' lack of knowledge to make a fortune.
bless all of you
hope ALEX can make a league of avengers out of all of you
wont mention names >>Alex knows em already
NH
GVS
Migan
Scott the awesome not SAUCEsome Herrman :)
.etc
remind of the rest if i forgot anyone bro
Fantastic interview Alex and Geoff! Would love to see you interview Brendan Tietz. He has an amazing UA-cam channel, with a crazy amount of in-depth information, especially for more intermediate and advanced lifters. I think it’d be a pretty cool talk between you two.
Brendan is pretty cool. Not sure if he's natural though. Not throwing shade, I literally don't know
A real sweet ending there, and I can say that I am one of those smaller channels that got a boost from Geoffrey. A real homie 🔥🤜🤛🔥
I have temple veins year round, might be the fat distrubution for me?
The thing with natural bodybuilding is that your hormones go to shit being too lean, so even trt makes a huge difference because your back to normal hormone levels
Exactly bro!!
I have been 19%-20% bf for 3 years already, but my weight has gone up above 10kg propably 15kg right now. So I have built a decent physique but I havent cut because it fucks with my mind and the training.
I feel you bro! I am 90kg heavy, working out since 12 years and I try to cut since 5 years but it rly rly gets me in a very irritable mood to be on low calories
@@houseoffirebellytoads1439 yeah, I havent trained as long but for me I just want to milk all the gains strength and hypertrophy wise and cutting doesnt cut it for me😁
@@houseoffirebellytoads1439 whats your bf%?
@@whenisasnakeatail4933 Exactly same for me!
@@joojotin Probably like 25%
I was hoping this collab will happen. Great video.
I personally couldn't care less about measurements.
“My neighbors brought me bowls of rice” lool 😂
The two most underrated natural lifting channels on YT. Thx for this one guys. Much appreciated.
Just imagine once all the natural boys get together and make a podcast
This is so cool Alex, NH, now Geoffery! You're doing God's work bro!
You interviewing my favorite content creators is great man, creating a true natural community.
Oh my god. Yesss. Hear me out. You Gregory and natural hypertrophy in one video. Maybe even collab in person.
Imagine that!
Who knew a caveman knew so much about muscle growth
I don't know if alpha destiny was actively listening or didnt catch on to your sarcasm when initially talked about fake weights...
I caught it but was very tired since there's a 13 hour time difference between us
@@AlexLeonidas Wasn't trying to bash you just that stuck out to me....that's understandable (not like you need validation from me) you get the point
Geoffrey and you are some of my favorite sources for information on this platform. Excited to watch this video 👍
he went from 68kg to 98kg with only a small layer of chubbs, that's insane man, that's like from small guy to pretty massive!
Only took 7.5 years haha
WOOWWWWW the not happy with results portion was spot on. Thanks for the motivation.
That "Or was it?" went straight over his head😂
You both give us hope as naturals, love to see it
These long form convos would be great to have as a podcast on Spotify or some other service
I second this
That is old school Geoff background. Love you both. Love to see you both succeed and thank you Alex for shouting out Geoff. I have supported both of you by buying your programs/books just because you are honest and natural.
Great Video
stay natty boys
Oh yes my 2 favs on UA-cam!
Now this and the one with NH definitely are early christmas gifts. Hell yeah
13:05 reference to Kinobody? 👀
