Oh my gosh I just love you two! I am a 74-year-old retired lady who lives in a little cottage in Montana. I want to put bead board up in my bathroom and I keep saving, so I can hire someone to do it. You make me feel like I can do it myself. I’m heading to UA-cam again to watch how to put the board up. I just love you guys. Keep doing what you’re doing , you have no idea how much you are helping others. Huge hugs to you both!

There’s a lot of people who can say they’re living their dream lives, but I think there’s only a handful of people who can truly say they’ve found meaning and purpose in this lifetime.
I’ve been living vicariously through your journey for as long as I can remember. I look forward to the days you guys decide to upload a new video.

I watched y'all since the beginning and I've often said, especially when you've both doubted your abilities that I truly believed there's NOTHING you two can't conquer once you put your minds to it. As a couple you're the perfect combination of yin/yang - push/pull and your ability to correct mid course (WITHOUT RECRIMINATIONS) when you realize you've messed up is a great life (and couple) lesson.

I’m really happy that you’re taking the time to really recognize and appreciate all that you did accomplish in 2021 despite dealing with all the set backs that came along. I think my favourite projects are 1)around your garden (planting, watering and harvesting) there was something so peaceful and relaxing watching you attend your plant babies. 2) the boat ride over to PEI with you and the pups on deck brought back memories of my first camping vacation there 3) and of course the dome build series - I was rooting for you all the way to be able to spend Tyler’s 30th BD in your cosy little dome home. Also, the music choices are fabulous, I google the lyrics looking for the titles of the songs. Looking forward to seeing what you and your little family will get up to in 2022.

    Filter system that’s great.
I was going to say add a tap on the pump and put a water filter on that that takes all the bad water out and turns it into clean fresh water
Would be good if they had ice cubes that stay cold in a filter so if you move were you are you can always have cold water to keep you dehydrated in hot days
Can save a lot more time waiting for ice cubes to freeze or fridge to wait .

Dear Todd & Tyler, we live in the Bay of Plenty in NZ. We live in a supposedly urban area, but have almost identical vegetable beds, we grow our own vegetables and have a lemon, lime, apple, macadamia, pear, apple, plum , avocado, tangelo and orange trees. We bottle & dehydrate. Our next project is solar panels and off roof water collection- we already have a bore. We get raw milk & honey locally - we are so lucky. You two make me so happy just to watch. This project has brought you closer, you seem to work well together, I would have LOVED driving all the machines…Canada seems the closest to NZ. Especially the forests. Thank you for the videos. ☺️☺️☺️☺️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟😊😊😊😊😊

I found this video when searching for dome home videos. I have wanted to build my own home since I was a child but never felt that was truly possible financially and because I did not grow up seeing or knowing any women that worked with tools. As an adult that dream of my own home has intensified with each year as I’ve lived under other peoples roofs paying rent as more years passed. These past couple years have been really difficult for a number of reasons(struggle, family deaths, relationship strife, ect) and I find myself devouring videos of small home builds. I’ve fallen in love with domes, yurts and octagon structures that bring in a lot of light. I find the round shape so comforting. When I think of it I get a sliver of hope again. So I went searching for dome home videos, clicked this one and was really touched and in awe of all you’ve set out to accomplish together. It was lovely to watch and gave me hope and inspiration. I have just turned 35 and maybe I finally start to actuality this dream. Thank you. ❤️✌🏼

    Boys,
Hi! I've only watched 2 of your videos, thus far, and I got choked up during both, especially this one, with all that you have learned as you looked back over the year! Well Done Both of YOU!!!
Four years ago, I quit my job and took care of my best friend while he was dying. He left me a little money and I decided to build my own small house. Of course Covid hit and I lost my new job, and etc. Yet, I continued to work on the house. I NEVER thought I would be able to accomplish the things that I have. I am living in the little house (640 sqft) even without plumbing. No siding yet, and still raw wood inside.! But all my furniture is in! HA!
I can completely relate to your pride and new-found confidence! I am 65 and lived in the City all of my life! Not 'mr. construction' at all! So! You are both to be congratulated on your self-exploration!
And you're right! 'This will change your life going forward, regardless of where life takes you - or 'Where YOU Take Your Lives!" You have altered your Destinies! And I am convinced it is for the Good!
    Congratulations!

  • @elnosworld9893
    @elnosworld9893 2 роки тому +1

Honestly you young man just blow my mind. I just know that you’re not giving yourselves enough credit and you’re probably not looking at just how far you really have come. Most people would never ever consider doing things the way that you did it particularly the projects that you tried to do on your own without any help or anyone there to show you how. You guys deserve it everything you worked so hard for and I’m so glad that you finally have achieved enough to the point where you feel a little bit more ease.
I’ve been living in my car this June 23rd for six years. I was involved in a relationship that went south very fast very hard and turned out six months after the discard I realized I had been with a narcissist. I really didn’t know anything more than the word itself and had to learn so much thankfully there’s a narcissistic support group on UA-cam can you imagine that. Well if they’re here everything else is here too. I’m more of a MC do tactile learner and even though I could probably learn from watching the videos I really need to be interactive. So after all this time and having a failed attempt at getting myself back together again doing rideshare because people don’t know the truth about at all and how little we actually do get paid I decided that I’m not doing enough. Therefore this June I will be enrolling in the local college to take carpentry.
I have looked at a lot of alternative individuals who started out on their own using alternative building materials and they were charging a lot of money anywhere from 1100 to 1800 and some like earth ships were charging $5000 not including any food not including shelter which was all additional and just truly taking advantage of people who really wanted to learn some thing that would help create a new life. But you have to have the money for the land. That’s another huge hurdle and there’s all the other stuff that goes with it
So in the carpentry class they teach framing roofing which I think is basically the frame of the roof flooring light plumbing and light electrical which is essential. Now they may have an intermediate and more advanced class which would mean I’d be at it for a year and a half but almost 6 years is past and I’m not investing in myself so it’s a very good investment and it’s only $231 for six months six hours a week twice weekly. That came from an intuitive thing that that’s where I should be looking. The other challenge with the woman who was charging 1100 to 1800 was that she was three hours away and it was a crash course only 10 days long. I didn’t feel that that was sufficient.
True you don’t have to be prepared for everything but some of us have a little bit more difficulty with certain things I wanted to build my confidence and I think that that’s definitely going to help.
I hope people are learning from your channel that yes not only can they do it but for those people who feel like they couldn’t there are other options too and maybe this comment will help them to realize that as well. And those options don’t have to be overprice or far away.
So with an investment of less than $700 I could become very proficient in my understanding and ability to do carpentry flooring roofing electric and plumbing. I think that those are a very intelligent investment for anyone who is really looking to build a new life and I mean that quite literally.
I’m not really sure what the universe is willing to grant me provided I put in the effort but I would like to think it someday are on a decent size piece of land and be able to create a tiny home community not only for myself but for other people who are in a similar situation who need A better way. But having the capacity as a 53-year-old woman to help other people achieve their dream for reasonable amount of money for instruction could really help change this area and it needs change because there has been a rise of homelessness in my area. I’m in North Carolina in the Charlotte area.
As you might imagine over the Covid which is the last 2 1/2+ years it is really increased and wages are not increasing as a matter fact rideshare drivers who drive the smaller vehicles and I don’t mean the smallest but economy size vehicles are only getting paid $.82 per mile. I actually busted them where they reduced it over Covid down to $.60 and after having written them it magically seem to go back up $.22. It’s still not enough to butter my bread. And most customers are not tipping because of false advertising is leading them to believe that we’re making plenty of money and we don’t need any help. After all is said and done there’s very little left and that’s because we pay for the gas the car washes maintenance repairs telephones car insurance we pay for their data which we really shouldn’t have to because it’s just a platform that were using to be able to be independent but they are charging us for that as well as our customer tolls. They charge the customer sitting fee and keep those funds for themselves so just to make it quite clear that we’re all of these expenses we still have to pay our taxes. By the time Lyft has taken her money as my 1099 for 2021 proves I made $41,000 that sounds incredible doesn’t it? But the reality of the situation is before any of my expenses which last year were pretty big including tires which are almost $1000., I was left with next to nothing just like the year before. Lyft took $17,334 from my earnings and they called that service and platform face along with data tolls a miscellaneous charge and some other nonsensical things
I wanted the opportunity to share that with people because I don’t think they realize that it’s not the way to make extra income because even though it looks good on paper by the time I was said and done and you paid your taxes after all of your expenses there really isn’t enough especially to start over. Mind you I have no codependency issues I’m not on drugs I’m not on alcohol and if I wanted to be I certainly couldn’t afford it (of course that’s a joke). And the funniest jokes are usually based on truth.
It’s been a real struggle because when you live a life of convenience that is so inconvenient you’re paying so much more money you’re not really able to wisely spend your money and I have two storage units. They’re pretty expensive to I only had one and really didn’t have much to put in it eventually I filled it up with Facebook marketplace items hoping that at least I will have addressed some of my concerns when and if I ever do have a place of my own but it became painfully obvious that they would not arrive soon enough. I have been through breast cancer and lung cancer I am a health psychic and I was meant to go through this to learn how to use my gift in order to be of service to others and I happen. I would have to have healed my own bones in order to become a healer myself. And now I’m dealing with COPD and emphysema which I didn’t know I had until after the mandate for masks cause me to jeopardize my own life unknowingly. Obviously I had a pre-existing condition that I was unaware of that exacerbated it I ended up in the hospital for 2 1/2 days and I now have a $17,000 hospital bill. The diagnosis was pneumonia COPD emphysema gallbladder stones heart condition and a very depleted B12 store by the hospital and the doctors never felt it was important to give me a B12 shot. Even though that’s the equivalent of pernicious anemia which would cause severe breathing complications. They were very concerned about Covid because they get paid $1400 per diagnosis and $39,000 for putting it on someone’s death certificate. It’s a very corrupt world we live in and we are the people we’ve been waiting for. We have to be the change in the world that we wish to see and that’s exactly what you young men are doing and for that I want to say thank you
It’s been a rough ride but you’re there or you’re getting closer I am personally proud of you for having the courage to do this for yourselves and believing in yourselves to at least take action. We can have a lot of dreams in this world but they really don’t mean anything if we don’t act on them in the dream is given to us from a higher place because it’s meant for us. A lot of us don’t have the courage to follow through too many fears around abundance and the lack there of. One thing I’ve learned is he really do you have to take a chance on yourself because no one else will
    Great job 💕
