ive finaly realized the ramones played at the speed and intensity they played so no one could ever replicate them. Joeys voice became a eternal frequency of madness, john a complete locomotive going at 400km per hour. cj was great at following the footsteps of mighty dee dee,and marky, tommy and richie all gave something new to the baseline of the ramones formula. they were so stubborn in keeping this blueprint, they could have slowed down the live shows, add a second guitar, do what the addicts or green day did the new age of music. they would have lived longer with the money they would have made , the music would appealed to millions more and the blueprint wouldnt be lost. and this is what it meant to be a ramone . it meant that the mission and vision was bigger than life. and it was. they did it.
No Joey Ramone but great to see bands keeping the music alive and crowds enjoying it. I was born in 1980 and missed a lot of great music I love but thankfully I got to see the Ramones before they broke up. They sounded amazing in that final tour. They still could kick ass. It’s all still very sad how they all died in a relatively short span. Just wtf. RIP Joey, Dee Dee, Johnny and Tommy.
Who the fuck would be there and instead of moshing prefers to be filming with a phone? Sad to see that people got lazy, slow and without passion, so many kids in south America would give everything to be there jumping, sweating and giving all their hearts to The Ramones legacy
The only part of rock and roll history and culture that is missing in this picture is this awful audience with the mobile phones and the social posture the ramones, chuck berry, little richard, motorhead and rock artists like those were able to brake. Rock and roll is dead if people are not sweating and letting it go.
cant believe time now when instead of crazy dances and slam and pogo all this people infront of scene stand and do phone shooting....if rock n roll die it will be a fault of such people for sure Tim and Billi and all band are awesome!
Here's the only 'family tree' of rock 'n' roll/punk/heavy music that anybody really needs to know: Robert Johnson The Beatles Black Sabbath The New York Dolls Ramones Literally everything else is just an offshoot (including The Stones, KISS, etc... not that there's anything the matter with any of them - I love them too!). So ya ya we could split hairs about a pile of other bands and artists, but who really gives a shit (not me btw)? Just look what this music still means and does to people!?! For a little while I was kinda worried they might get forgotten. Obviously never. Fucking amazing!
Always loved CJ and what he brought to the Ramones !

Didn’t see it coming but Billy Idol and Tim Armstrong, strong duo there 🙌
So rad to see Derek O'Brien on drums! One of the best punk rock drummers ever!
I thought that was Lusa Pelusa
He hits cymbals like Tommy, great style, strong, loud, and fast!
super cool, thanks for sharing
The backdrop is very Johnny focussed but most of the songs were written by Dee Dee and Joey. Unusual
Glad to hear CJ's crusher

Yup. It’s like a some terrible modern art crowd stumbled upon a rock concert.
At this point every gig should be properly recorded to stop folks from bringing their phones
