The Prodigy "Fat of the Land" British dance invasion was in full effect in the mid/late 90's. Many Americans thought that Keith was the frontman and that's how Prodigy sold themselves to the U.S. market. They had geniusly figured out that having a frontman was the key to being perceived by a conservative U.S. audience as a band.
I was like 8 years old, and heard my first Prodigy song on "The best dance album in the world part 2", it was Out of Space. I didn't think much of the slow bit, but the fast bit sold me, that was my thinking at the time. That was the first song I had on tape. My uncle was listening to The Prodigy, and that when I first heard Firestarter and saw the video.

First three albums were equally good, each one in his own way. Each has at least 3 absolute classics: The Prodigy Experience had Charly, Out of Space and Everybody in the Place Music for the Jilted Generation had Voodoo People, Poison and No Good The Fat of the Land had Smack my bitch up, Breathe and Firestarter All of them essential songs and milestones. I would even say, as an album, the first one is the best, since you can listen to it on one go. The other two have some weaker tracks in between. On the other hand, of the listed tracks, the latter are the ones with more polished and memorable video clips (if that counts anything). Anyway, Prodigy totally rocks. But for some unknown reason they aren't a big thing in the USA while everybody else adores them
Saw them in ‘97 in Thurles, ireland. Have not seen a band or crowd with that much energy since. Absolutely stunning. One of a kind. I say that as more of a metal head at the time. The Prodigy will continue to endure, they were like lightning in a bottle. Keith is gone but with my kids being into the prodigy now, his legacy will live on. 🐜
All the music was done by Liam anyway. Not to say anything against Keith, he was the face of the band and later singer/shouter, but technically The Prodigy can perfectly exist without Keith. Liam might have lost his drive, though, without Keith.

Back to this yet again. Watching Leeroy dance should be prescribed as anti-depression medication - I can't help but grin everytime he shuffles and bounces across the stage

The Prodigy "Fat of the Land" British dance invasion was in full effect in the mid/late 90's. Many Americans thought that Keith was the frontman and that's how Prodigy sold themselves to the U.S. market. Music for the Jilted Generation was and is one of the greatest albums of all time! Still one of my favorite listens.
🐜♥️💯
First three albums were equally good, each one in his own way. Each has at least 3 absolute classics:
The Prodigy Experience had Charly, Out of Space and Everybody in the Place
Music for the Jilted Generation had Voodoo People, Poison and No Good
The Fat of the Land had Smack my bitch up, Breathe and Firestarter
All of them essential songs and milestones.

All the music was done by Liam anyway. Not to say anything against Keith, he was the face of the band and later singer/shouter, but technically The Prodigy can perfectly exist without Keith. Liam might have lost his drive, though, without Keith.
