That explanation of how the club and hands work in relation to the body is the best way to make the fundamentals of the golf swing easy to understand! SO GOOD! Thank you once again!😊
Danny, the elusive true move in the downswing!!! I have watched 1000's of you tube video's, destroyed my home grass, fairways and sometimes my wrist!!. I have started to get better, but, could never seem to figure out exactly the missing piece. I took about 10 minutes trying this drill, thing big thing that I noticed is to not allow feeling the club head be a problem. Thanks
Danny I’ve been slicing the my driver for years. And I mean a giant banana slice! This drill just fixed it in one session. I can’t thank you enough, I’ve taken lessons upon lessons and not been able to get the feeling of releasing the club face. I just played the best 9 holes of my life today. Thank you!!!!!
Just went through a fast forward of this into my net and wow this is generating so much more power than my old idea on a swing, will take way more work to really get this up down and around feeling but im blown away at how off my idea really was when swinging. I was nowhere near as down or close to my body as i had thought and thus the weakish shots. Doing this has made me realize how truly off i was , i just cranked a few into the net and holy cow man there is the speed and power i have been dreaming of. Very new to golf but after the swings i just took using this feeling up down AND aroumd i am in awe and now wont be able to sleep cause i cant wait to see how much farther my irons go tomorrow at the range lol , hitting them into the net i cant see it obviously but i can hear it and feel it and it is a whole other level lol. Thanks for sharing this Drill.
This is the best training video for anyone who comes over the top. I haven’t played for 1 year, tried this and managed to hit every fairway afterwards and only missed 2 greens over the last 6 holes I played.
Your enthusiasm is infectious. The way you present things on UA-cam is excellent, better than crossfield, shiels etc. This video is one of the best instruction videos i have seen. Shame I don't live near where you are because I would be definitely booking lessons with you.
Hi Danny, great drill and will try out today. Do you do any residential courses. I would love to come to you for lessons but you are about a 5 hour drive.
I watched your video at lunch today and I thought it was very good. I went to the range after work and tried it out, with great success. I’m going to add this to my warm up shots. I used it on my approach wedge, 7 iron, and driver. It really helped me realize how the left had basically stops when you post on the left leg and then catapult the club head with the right hand. Great video and a good golf learning day. Thanks.
I know all the correct positions, the rotation of the body, squaring of the club face and follow though .. but this drill is the first to actually bring everything together in a simple manner that helps me naturally reach in the correct positions. Will be practicing this during the off season.
Hi Danny, I know this video is a couple of years old but I'd just like to say that it is a tremendous fix for downswing, my hands were so much more dynamic with that release. Took it straight on the course, although I was slightly wayward due to it being so new, my iron striking was so much better, and with increased speed & distance. Fantastic.
This is a great video to learn from. After practicing the drill at home I took it to the range this afternoon. Fortunately the weather was great as luckily I am down here in southern Portugal. The difference to the contact was like night and day. This has cleared up much confusion on the downswing that I have had in my mind for many years. I found was able to hold the wrist set with no casting or early release. Today I actually felt as though I knew what I was doing. This is a simple effective drill that Danny has explained so simply. If someone explained this to me 20 years ago I might have been a half decent golfer by now! I can think of a group of 10 elderly men next Friday on the Penina resort course who would do well by watching this video. Thank you again Danny for what you do to help so many people. Rich
Tried this in the garden with an air ball, as in lockdown now. Muscles aching next day, so I think I’ve used muscles I haven’t before in my swing. Looking forward to trying it on the range and course. Thanks, I think it could be the answer.
Hi Danny. This experience helped me to transform my swing. I was struggling with clearing the hips for months and now it clicked. Thank you a lot for simple and informative training videos. Alexey
Nobody..l mean really nobody explains the golf swing better than you. I've been playing for more than 20 years and this is the first time I see a drill for the downswing that makes total sense. Thank you Danny!!!
Just endorsing the comments of others Danny - another great drill and lesson which is of enormous help to me and obviously all your other 'followers'. Many thanks for taking the time to share with us these invaluable lessons.
I've casted for years and I've never found a drill that is both helpful and something I can do as part of a pre-shot routine. I just went out at lunch and hit a couple balls using this and it's crazy how effortless the power is when I get into the slot. Thanks Danny!
I have never seen this exorcise explained by any one else it has explained a lot of things of how to get the club back to the ball square from parralel position, this is why I subscribe to Danny's channel.
Danny! Perpetual 10 handicapper here...spent the last week and about $100 in range balls trying to stop hitting it left. Or straight but with a high ball flight. Divots were ALWAYs about 15 degrees left no matter what I did with my setup, timing, etc (and I went to some extreme in all the above). Came to the conclusion my right shoulder was the culprit. Got home and Google got me to this video. I’ve left a fee divots in the yard using your method here...and they were all DEAD STRAIGHT! Grass needed mowing anyway. Can’t wait to get back to the range. My swing is fairly good; hoping this nugget will kill the slight OTT move once and for all. I’ll let you know. Love your stuff.
Tried it on the range yesterday and it worked. Before, my swing was a lot over the top. I did some practice swings without a ball no issue, but when it came to hitting a ball my brain started to think „you can‘t hit the ball like this“ after I convinced my brain that it will work I hit my first ball and it was just great. I think I‘m still struggeling with a bit to the left ball flight but much better now than before. So I will keep on practising and hope I can try it on the course soon. Thanks for sharing this drill that changed my golf and removed a lot of frustration. Greetings from Germany
Wow I struggled with going over the top with my downsing and had major consistency issues. This drill in one day transformed my swing. Thank you so much
I remember watching the original version of this exercise and practicing with it at the range. It was probably the first time I could honestly say that I felt the weight of the club head and started drawing the ball...like all things that are good for you I got away from it... Im going to try your version and stick to it. Thanks for the videl
Recently discovered your channel. Have just completed a session of 6 lessons with our club pro. To be honest, I've found your videos more helpful. Keep up the good work. Well done.
Paul Edwards thanks for letting me know Paul, have an honest chat with your club pro and tell him what’s working and what’s not. If he’s any good he will change his approach to fit your style and he could end up being a real help too
Hi Danny, I am returning to golf after a 15 year break and thought I'd take a look at a few videos. I love your style, enthusiasm, training and learning techniques. I took three tips to try at the driving range (takeaway, grip pressure and allowing the club head to swing through the ball) last week and I can honestly say they are truly transformational. Loads to work on and very early days still (I was a 9 handicapper) but very much looking forward to starting and playing again thanks to your videos.
THANK YOU. someone has finally clearly articulated that the feel on release is the club coming out/ over the top. For so long I’ve dropped the club into the slot correctly and then on release tried to push the club out to the right. This move is a perfect feel. I just went and shaved 10/12 shots off my average score. Thanks for that light bulb moment. Much love from Australia.
Hi Danny , thank you for the fantastic tips . This works really really well as a swing thought , with accuracy and distance when I get the sensation of from the top backswing coming down and releasing correctly , the question I wanted to ask is after contacting the ball what feeling or how should I complete the follow through. Thanks again
Totally agree with my colleagues. I really like the drills. I've seen some other "pros" who talk with no substance, e.g., swing like me. Wasted words and time. Thanks again for the excellent training and please present more drills like this!
Could you do a training on how to get out of the rough at close range to the hole? I seem to either hit fat or if I hit the ball, there is no power to my stroke. Damn frustrating as hell.
@@DanielMaude Thanks Braddha Dan. Might I ask for one more somewhere down the road? Since I live in Hawaii, a lot of time we have very very wet bunker sand. I have used your open face sand shot to some success on regular sand (I mean for someone with less than 6 months on the game I'm 80% successful at getting out on the first try), but wet concrete sand is a different beast. Don't know if I should chip, pitch or cry. It's usually the latter. Thanks Bro.
Golf has always been a frustrating yet fun sport. I have never had any formal training so I developed bad habits. Since discovering your videos my swing has improved. Thank you so much for these videos. Golf can be expensive in itself without paying for lessons.
Hi Danny....love your instructions.....you are a very clear communicator. Hey. You made a video of the takeaway where you described how you should take it away on the 45. You showed the two sides of the box and how you dissect on the 45. can you direct me to the video? I have been searching and can’t find it. Thanks. Peter
Came across this bc my down swings been inconsistent. Tried this on the range, hit balls 10-20 yards until I got comfortable/built muscle memory. Immediate improvement! When I started finding myself go back to my old ways, I split my hands up like Danny shows you, and hit the golf balls 10-20 yards again. Key was getting the ball positioned behind front left foot and letting the hips open up naturally as I swing through. Thanks for the help!
I have been playing golf for 23 years and struggled to eliminate my over the top down swing...got it down to a minimal over the top and just played it as a permanent part of my golf swing to my current 10.2 handicap...I tried every tip took lessons once a week for two years could never eliminate it completely until I watch this video...did your split hand drill for 30-minutes then went the range did it there hit numerous balls with my hands split and my over the top move completely gone...it helped feel for the first time where my shoulders, arms and hands should be positioned for solid contact...I now use the split hand for two or three practice swings and then slip my hands down to their normal position to hit my shot. Thank for this tip!
Another masterful presentation! I have struggled for years with hands staying open at bottom of slot resulting in slicing or shanking out of the blue. I have tried this and it helps a lot. Thank you.
Thanks Danny, Used the drill in my game swing today. Messed my game up in good way, hitting my irons 15 - 20 yards farther. Overshot a couple of greens, have to recal my distances! Was hitting my 50* wedge 100 yds, now 115 - 120. Same for other clubs....
Thanks Danny... this seems like a great drill for me to practice. I tend to pull the ball a lot and I feel its from rotating my right shoulder at the start of my downswing. I sure hope this drill will cure my pulled shot... Love your videos....
@@DanielMaude This really is helping me with my game. Great drill to use while I’m playing. Thank you so much for your explanation as to what I was doing with my right shoulder and how to fix it. You my friend are a great teacher…
Been struggling the last couple of weeks with coming over the top and couldn't break 80. Worked the drill yesterday, pretty much all day. Went to the course today and just like that back in the 70s. Shot a 76. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for this drill Danny. I was at the range this evening and I was slicing it and getting no distance. I'm going to record myself and make the comparison now that I've watched this video a few times in great detail.
Wicked drill mate! Out of all the drills ive tried this one has been the best to get my swing consistent and has actually helped my lag and turning of the body heaps! Cheers legend from australia🍻
Just saw Graham McDowell do this in the Irish Open I’ll be definitely trying this out thanks , had years of the right elbow being forward on the down swing, a drill for everything your right , thanks Kevin
Many thanks, I've been looking for "golf start downswing before completing backswing" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Penamillorn Peerless Prevalence - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? It is a smashing exclusive guide for discovering how to learn an effective golf swing method without the hard work. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my cousin got great results with it.
Hi Danny, tried this today. I was putting on most greens for par, great contact straight ball flight and longer carry on most clubs. This was the last piece of the puzzle to finish off my swing, great video thanks.
Absolutely perfect and this is the the secret i agree. Best of the best tip ever said by anyone in golf. All time best tip.i have been shooting in low 80’s now. Thanks .
Danny your the man! Ive been struggling with over the top for years and doing this move has transformed my game with my irons. Im hitting them high straight and long..I really cant believe it!!! One question is it the same move with the driver? if it is I'm struggling getting back to ball with a square club face with driver. I think its because of the length of the driver compared to irons. Thanks Kenny
Gerald Pugh very kind of you Gerald and great to hear you liked the drill. If you have any questions after trying it don’t hesitate to drop me a message
For years I have struggled with an inconsistent transition. Now that I discovered this drill the ball is exploding off the face of my seven iron. I can only conclude that I have always externally rotated my right shoulder. As an added bonus I can now effortlessly align my right knee and hip during the downswing. Pullo
Great video. Made me realise that the awkward wrist roll I've been doing to square the club face on impact might not be right 🤦♂️ this achieves the same straight club face with added speed.
I tell ya Danny I’ve always been around a 20-22 HC and big slicer. Watching your videos I no longer slice. Either straight or I’m pulling. But between the video about skipping the stone in lieu of throwing and this video keeping the 45angle coming down I thk I’m on the right track. Thanks so much. Look forward to more videos
Thank you so much Danny. For the longest time, I never really understood how to properly square the face of the club until I watched your video. I finally had the “Ah-HA” moment watching your video. Thank you so much. I can’t believe the information you’re providing is free. I genuinely appreciate all the information your providing. 🙏🏼
thank you Danny for your explanation it is very helpful but for me as a French and starting playing a year ago it’s better for for understand the position of feet and hand.
I have spent years and years trying to figure out why I release the golf club too early!!! This video has totally changed my golf game!! You are the man!!!! Thanks for sharing this video, I just wish I found your channel a long time ago haha!
Super drill Danny and I know it works - difficulty is keeping the hands soft while going straight down hard and putting Pressure on the Ball as you recommend with irons. So trying to work with the lovely Lag Drill you have posted and hitting down hard seems tough as it seems I need iron hard grip to wack into it! Great site - thanks so much.
Hey Danny, I have an 8 hcp and have recently been struggling with coming over the top. All the practicing in recent days has been time wasted. I saw your video this morning and took it to the range today. So much improvement after getting the feel. I appreciate what you do. How do you feel about playing with the split hands? Thx!!!
Really great video Danny i have to try this even if we have -2’c right now. It seems so easy but it’s hard when youre struggling with over the top issues, thanks and keep them coming.
This is great danny! In regards to the first half of this drill, we essentially try to ingrain muscle memory by going from p4 or p5 to the p6 position? If you have reached the p6 position nicely it’s really hard to mess up impact correct? I guess we could almost use this as a preshot routine before shots? I see justin rose sort of doing the same thing before full swings.
Danny! I have been implementing the up, down and around swing! When I get it right it’s fantastic! But more often than not I feel like I’m still flipping or scooping at impact! I’m hitting shots way high with no distance and losing some out right! It only happens with irons! It’s never an issue with driver! Any ideas mate? Am I not extending enough through impact? Or not rotating enough? Any ideas would be welcomed mate! Thank you so much
double check your club face position, most of the time when golfers are flipping and scooping its because their club face is open as it approaches impact and your body rapidly has to do all it can to close it. Ive a got a video coming this Saturday on the subject
Hi Danny! Watched your video last night and managed to correct a disgusting fade that has been haunting me for weeks. Thanks so much. I thoroughly enjoy your videos. You are doing a great job!
Danny, first of all, me and my mates love your videos. I'm an Ozzie and most of the time courses are pretty hard. This is the question: When the fairways are wet, I hit my irons so much better? a Any clues.. Stuart
Danny, recently I've been working on getting my hands much lower (near the right thigh/knee) on the downswing coming into impact (last parallel). I see very little discussion of this specifically on golf vlogs. Also, in doing so, I notice that all good golfers including yourself have a significant bending/driving of the right knee downward and inward on the way into impact. Again, little if any discussion or demonstration specifically of this key element of the swing. Would you please consider addressing "how to get the hands low at last parallel and/or the roll of the right knee into impact? It is present in nearly every professional's golf swing but this specific aspect is rarely if ever addressed. Thank you so much for considering my request.
Thanks Danny for your response. So am I to believe that by following this technique I don’t need to worry that this will be allowing me to shallow out my club properly?
I’ve been trying about everything on UA-cam whenI get a chance. It started when I went to try and get a swing to become a more consistent ball striker. I was put in a swing in which my right elbow doesn’t come off my side in the backswing and I’m taking it back shut. It’s led to me having to jump or raise up at impact. Hooks, pushes, fat shots and the shanks have become the normal. Since this has been ongoing for three years I can’t shake the pattern. Is the problem starting at the beginning of the swing? Any drills or advice would be most welcome. Great content in your videos. Keep up the good work and greetings from Iowa!
@@DanielMaude Took this drill and what I learned from your Perfect Backswing video to the range. Found something I haven't experienced in years, speed at the bottom! No weak, right shots and no hooks or fat shots. Ball flight was higher as well. Ball first contact will need more work on the irons, but I'm excited for once! The driver felt like the catapult analogy you used in one of your videos. I guess being stuck has prevented me from knowing what it is like to properly rotate through impact. Hoping the snow holds off to get a few more range sessions in! Thanks for your content!
Play off 5 handicap. Had a fairly flat swing. Tried this today for first time, I don't do range work, so I was on the course. Result: Higher ball flight and extra distance. Excellent. Shanked a couple, and thinned a couple but when it worked, the flight was awesome. More practice to look forward to.
Tried it at the range yesterday and it worked well resulting in straight shots or a slight draw. Also tried another drill with similar results, where after a normal set up/grip and downswing, the right hand was then taken off the club after impact and the swing to the finish was with the left arm only. No immediate improvement when I went back to hitting it normally however, so more practice required!
That explanation of how the club and hands work in relation to the body is the best way to make the fundamentals of the golf swing easy to understand! SO GOOD! Thank you once again!😊
You are very welcome Janice all the best

Richard Wilson thank you, I really do appreciate all the feedback, let me know if there is anything else you would like to see
Richard Wilson thank you, I really do appreciate all the feedback, let me know if there is anything else you would like to see
Could you do a training on how to get out of the rough at close range to the hole? I seem to either hit fat or if I hit the ball, there is no power to my stroke. Damn frustrating as hell.
Richard Wilson of course, watch this space
Thanks.
Peter
Thanks Danny. Fighting a pull lately. Can't wait to try this drill on range. Looks excellent👍
How did this golf drill work Art?
Came across this bc my down swings been inconsistent. Tried this on the range, hit balls 10-20 yards until I got comfortable/built muscle memory. Immediate improvement! When I started finding myself go back to my old ways, I split my hands up like Danny shows you, and hit the golf balls 10-20 yards again. Key was getting the ball positioned behind front left foot and letting the hips open up naturally as I swing through. Thanks for the help!
Amazing Matt, well done and thanks for taking the time to share your progress
Danny Maude When I try apply this to my driver though, I’m hitting hook grounders. Any ideas? Thanks again
Amazing how quick this drill starts to work , I feel like I keep my back to the target for longer 👍
Happy to help Simon 😁
Another masterful presentation! I have struggled for years with hands staying open at bottom of slot resulting in slicing or shanking out of the blue. I have tried this and it helps a lot. Thank you.
Amazing news, thanks for sharing
Thanks Danny, Used the drill in my game swing today. Messed my game up in good way, hitting my irons 15 - 20 yards farther. Overshot a couple of greens, have to recal my distances! Was hitting my 50* wedge 100 yds, now 115 - 120. Same for other clubs....
dogsarefun2 daaaaaam, I will make sure I will put a warning on the video next time 😂😂👍
Fantastic drill and instruction Danny. Sure wish I had this instruction a couple of decades ago :). Thank you !!!
Arkansas Caveman hope it works out for you, keep me posted
As usual Danny another really simple drill I just love the way your videos are set up and always simple and to the point ,keep it going please
Richard Bailey thanks as always Richard, appreciate all the feedback and support
Awesome! I’m definitely going to try this drill everyday, thanks!
Have fun Jeric
I have always been a caster Danny . What a great drill this is
Great way to feel and get the compression needed
Hi Danny, thanks for the great drill. I seem lost the power while squaring the club face in the drill. May I know how could improve this? Thanks
Danny hi, your explanation and drill are again excellent. I found it a great way to "release" the club and hit solid shots.
Love it Danny the timing of squaring the club face is Key this provides a great swing thought cheers 👍🏻👍🏻🏌️🏌️
Scottie boy thank you Scottie, enjoyed making this video on my dads course
Thanks Danny... this seems like a great drill for me to practice. I tend to pull the ball a lot and I feel its from rotating my right shoulder at the start of my downswing. I sure hope this drill will cure my pulled shot... Love your videos....
Chuck Swearengin keep me posted, this really helps feel the right shoulder movement
Cheers legend from australia🍻
good instruction to help with my block and occassional snap hook, thanks
Pleasure Steve, all the best
Just saw Graham McDowell do this in the Irish Open I’ll be definitely trying this out thanks , had years of the right elbow being forward on the down swing, a drill for everything your right , thanks Kevin
My pleasure Kevin
Many thanks, I've been looking for "golf start downswing before completing backswing" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Penamillorn Peerless Prevalence - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? It is a smashing exclusive guide for discovering how to learn an effective golf swing method without the hard work. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my cousin got great results with it.
Hi Danny, tried this today. I was putting on most greens for par, great contact straight ball flight and longer carry on most clubs. This was the last piece of the puzzle to finish off my swing, great video thanks.
well done, have a great weekend
Absolutely perfect and this is the the secret i agree. Best of the best tip ever said by anyone in golf. All time best tip.i have been shooting in low 80’s now. Thanks .
Wow thats amazing, thanks for sharing your progress
Excellent as usual Danny. I have practiced this and it works so well.
gives a great feel for the downswing, thanks for sharing
Danny your the man! Ive been struggling with over the top for years and doing this move has transformed my game with my irons. Im hitting them high straight and long..I really cant believe it!!! One question is it the same move with the driver? if it is I'm struggling getting back to ball with a square club face with driver. I think its because of the length of the driver compared to irons. Thanks Kenny
Once again such a brilliant drill. Danny you are a brilliant teacher, you speak a language that most handicap golfers should understand. Thank you.
Gerald Pugh very kind of you Gerald and great to hear you liked the drill. If you have any questions after trying it don’t hesitate to drop me a message
i think this exercise will help me keep my right shoulder back. thank you.
For years I have struggled with an inconsistent transition. Now that I discovered this drill the ball is exploding off the face of my seven iron. I can only conclude that I have always externally rotated my right shoulder. As an added bonus I can now effortlessly align my right knee and hip during the downswing. Pullo
Pat Kilger that’s great Pat, really happy to help
Great video. Made me realise that the awkward wrist roll I've been doing to square the club face on impact might not be right 🤦♂️ this achieves the same straight club face with added speed.
Absolutely 👍
Danny, would the split hands drill be good for short game? My issue tends to be lack of body movement on short shots. This looks like it might help
Graham Hill it can be but I would stick in the short term to using a more coordinated body turn first
Just tried this idea on the range. It works - driving straight for the first time for ages! Thanks Danny.
Martin Stockley that’s awesome Martin, we’ll done and thanks for sharing
An excellent drill. Danny does it again!!
Great stuff Danny I finally crack 90 with being way more consistent with the irons. Driver...not so much. Yet!!!!! Cheers from Canada.
Amazing! well done
One of the best videos around
Very kind of you to say Gary
thank you Danny for your explanation it is very helpful but for me as a French and starting playing a year ago it’s better for for understand the position of feet and hand.
Agreed, I will put something together
Hey Danny, hit the best iron of my life today on the course thanks to this video!
Ray Chau wonderful to hear Ray, thanks for sharing
I have spent years and years trying to figure out why I release the golf club too early!!! This video has totally changed my golf game!! You are the man!!!! Thanks for sharing this video, I just wish I found your channel a long time ago haha!
Mike Riley great to hear, happy to help
Super drill Danny and I know it works - difficulty is keeping the hands soft while going straight down hard and putting Pressure on the Ball as you recommend with irons. So trying to work with the lovely Lag Drill you have posted and hitting down hard seems tough as it seems I need iron hard grip to wack into it! Great site - thanks so much.
mark steed the key is to allow the weight of the head to do this as opposed to you physically having to
@@DanielMaude Ah! Cheers Danny - that sorts out the conflict in my mind. I was trying to muscle the handle down.
mark steed that’s ok, keep me posted
Hey Danny, I have an 8 hcp and have recently been struggling with coming over the top. All the practicing in recent days has been time wasted. I saw your video this morning and took it to the range today. So much improvement after getting the feel. I appreciate what you do. How do you feel about playing with the split hands?
Thx!!!
Been struggling with my down swing and this has helped me so much! Thank you!
Danny congratulations for another good video, very intuitive way to get the down swing right through impact
Really great video Danny i have to try this even if we have -2’c right now. It seems so easy but it’s hard when youre struggling with over the top issues, thanks and keep them coming.
Tommy Eriksson give it time Tommy, it really works well this drill
This is great danny! In regards to the first half of this drill, we essentially try to ingrain muscle memory by going from p4 or p5 to the p6 position? If you have reached the p6 position nicely it’s really hard to mess up impact correct? I guess we could almost use this as a preshot routine before shots? I see justin rose sort of doing the same thing before full swings.
Irvin Lee absolutely Irvin, give it a try and let me know how it goes
Hi Danny this really helped my consistency.. many thanks..strike impact definitely improved Danny.
superb video again Danny - gonna try this
Carl Walker thank you Carl, I like this drill too
Absolutely killing it with the content and easy to follow instructions and drills! You're the man.
Spot on lesson!. Classic 'Split Grip' drill. Once you 'punch-it-down', simply turn and let gravity take over!. Well done!
Chris Burns absolutely right, thanks for sharing this, will help the community
Hi Danny! Watched your video last night and managed to correct a disgusting fade that has been haunting me for weeks. Thanks so much. I thoroughly enjoy your videos. You are doing a great job!
I really need to go back to basics hopefully this will help me
Hope it does Mark!
Danny, first of all, me and my mates love your videos. I'm an Ozzie and most of the time courses are pretty hard. This is the question: When the fairways are wet, I hit my irons so much better? a
Any clues..
Stuart
Interesting, where does the club strike the ground relative to the ball and how deep are your divots?
Absolutely Rick
Can you do a segment on specific exercises a golfer can do to strengthen the appropriate muscles to improve the golf swing..your. a great teacher
Great idea Kenneth, watch this space
Thanks Danny for your response. So am I to believe that by following this technique I don’t need to worry that this will be allowing me to shallow out my club properly?
I’ve been stuck for three years now with no end in sight. Going to try this tomorrow morning weather permitting. So want to enjoy golf again!
Hi Judge, love to hear what you've been trying up to date and whats getting in the way of you enjoying the game???
Judge Smails that’s brilliant to hear, thanks for keeping me posted. It sounds like you are on the right lines
Look forward to hearing how you get on
Tried it at the range yesterday and it worked well resulting in straight shots or a slight draw. Also tried another drill with similar results, where after a normal set up/grip and downswing, the right hand was then taken off the club after impact and the swing to the finish was with the left arm only. No immediate improvement when I went back to hitting it normally however, so more practice required!
