He tells the AEW guys “everybody would benefit from working with Vince McMahon for 6 months”. Why is nobody talking about that? That says A LOT.
Nobody's talking because nobody cares about that shitty WWE-wannabe company and its never ending backstage drama. Want a proof? Watch CM Punk's promo last night. When he dropped that jab at AEW, he got absolutely 0 reaction from the crowd.
@@rafasilveira1745 because as much as i like CM Punk the wrestler, he is a toxic sh*thead that started way too much drama himself. the crowd knows that.
everyone knows that.
he is the first person to shut up about backstage drama because its him.

Well... Vince IS currently out of a job...hmmmn, hmmnnn... 😉
Im your boss im not supposed to be your friend all the time.. Chris needs to explain that one to his current boss!!!!
Shush! Let Tony repeat Vince's past mistake by letting his own talents to actually running the business like when The Kliq does to WWF back in the 90s.
that's his friend not his boss
@Bulletno that's the problem in aew.
His current boss is more successful than you'll ever be so I'm sure he will be much better off not listening to your advice champ.
@@ceejcityTony is that you
You can tell Jericho still loves Vince
Why wouldn’t he
Because@@corybejarano7088
He's his daddy.
I think most people respect Vince and admire his work ethic even if they have legitimate disagreements…and disagreements are inevitable
not gonna burn those bridges yo.
Only a handful a people could say to Vince they wanna go in a different direction and he’s ok with that.
It's actually really simple, not a lot of people knew things that were out of their schedule. The internet wasn't that convenient back in the days. Which was also why Vince was starting to fail in late PG era, the insane growth of internet. (I just realised that)
Undertaker just said one of the worst things he had to do was go to Vince and propose the American Badass gimmick. He said he was so nervous of Vince saying no because of how popular his gimmick already was.
"You need to lose some weight!" 🤣💀
He is an old man now, thats the way he suppose to look
@@kvinche8120did you not hear bout how Vince was at the gym at 73 lol ?
@@Get_em_gone_888 vince is using so much steroids i'm surprised he didn't died yet also he's probably using other things too
Hope Jericho can score a one year contract with WWE for a final run
Jericho and Triple H both know that another return to WWE would be a hit. Y2J can have a great feud and good matches with anyone who knows at least the basics.
Unless something bad and unexpected happens, I bet we'll hear the "Walls of Jericho" theme song a few more times.
That would be great but as most people from my youth are too old to wrestle efficiently.
Love how respectful Chris still is of his WWE career. Would love to see him have one last run there.
That’s what I hate about WWE alternatives: you don’t need to keep shooting on how you’re better than them. I refuse to watch WWE but still.
Everyone needs to understand the concept of not burning bridges....Jericho embodies that, good, smart guy.
@@deejaymalta 1000% with you on that.
@@AmandaRogersarock1988 Thanks, nice bass covers! My favorite to play was Walking Away by Catch 22....I annoyed the hell out of the dorm residents the floor below me with that. I'm sure they knew it by heart.

I hated Jericho as a kid but I now understand his contribution to the business and I respect it
Right lol 😂
Maybe because I was introduced to him as a babyface in wwf that I was always a fan of him, he was cooler to me more so than the rock or Austin
My first memory of Jericho is him injuring Rey Mysterio's leg with a toolbox in WCW and throwing tantrums backstage when he lost. Little did I know he would become a legit pro wrestling legend. So I understand what you mean.
Bro he was the perfect heel for kids. I remember hating him winning the undisputed title 😅😂 i was 9
@@mattc060793im Canadian so i got to see chris vanilla af lol didnt really know it was him until i seen him on wcw then it occurred he was the same guy from stampede 😂
His wcw heel turn is what made me a jerichoholic dude is the goat hands down
"Once in a while i text Vince"
Jericho is 1000% fishing for a comeback tour
Exactly. One last run and then they'll put him in the hall of Fame.
Vince doesn’t even know what planet he’s on anymore 😂
lol nope
Did you even watch the whole interview? If you did, you'll know his thoughts on the hall of fame and where he's at now
He doesn’t need to fish for one. 😔 Jericho would be as welcomed back as Stone Cold. He is very much a WWE Guy despite his AEW tenure. It’s only the fans who have such crazy tribalism 😂
Chris being so respectfully to Vince and WWE is great. That showing why Chris is a legend and guys like Swerve Scott are bums
Vince jamming out to music is a vision thats crazy to me
It would be his entrance music
@@michaelwills1818 I always picture Vince walking into/out of the bathroom to take a poop or after just like he walked out to the ring.
@@Peppers19781978thanks, from now on i will allways play his theme when i am on the toilet
2:31 "You know I say this all the time like in AEW I think everybody could use six months working for Vince McMahon. Because that's where you really understand what wrestling is, the wrestling business and how the business works." Jericho lowkey saying that AEW isn't a well run business, that Tony isn't a good boss, and perhaps looking for a way back to the WWE?
Jericho will stay in aew tony khan is a fan using his dads money of Jericho is smart he will use a wwe return against aew and get a bigger pay day
uhhh... no. but nice try!
It's been pretty obvious for a long time, but I think he also made sure everyone understood that as long as he can collect a fat paycheck from Tony, he will stay there. Can't blame him tbh
I don think he's taking a shot at TK but saying how polished Vince is and how smart he was at running.
I think Jericho us covering his ass, he knows this shit is full of holes and they heading to iceberg. But by gierge he will get as much as he can from Tony Khan before he goes back to WWE
2:30 I find this to be the biggest statement about his outlook on the roster of AWE I've ever heard
Subtle call out to the locker room.
I never understood why he thinks his first 5 years in WWE were unsuccesful - 3 world title wins, an intercontinental championship, a tag championship (and I think the european belt at one point). Thats pretty good by any persons standard
That y2j run was crazy!
what he means that in his mind, it took some time for him to get what wrestling really is.
He's probably comparing himself to the Rock and Stone Cold. Compared to those 2, everyone else seemed unsuccessful. Jericho wants to hold himself to a higher standard.
He was never the guy, and even when he was champ, they went out of there way to remind you he wasn’t the guy or even on the level of Austin/Rock/Triple H.
Jericho didn't imply he was unsuccessful, he just felt that he still had a lot to learn from the business side of things.
Vince McMahon is everything Tony wishes he could be. Even if some ideas on TV aren’t great, he still actually has that relation with some of the roster that Tony and no fan will ever replicate. Audiences can complain about Vince all they want about how he treats the roster, but the fact remains that he at least talks with them.
You must have special backstage access at AEW? What else is going on backstage?
No shit huh, Vince been doing this for 40 plus years…. Tony no less than 5 years. You little kids and your comments are very stupid and immature.
@@steve1340 I don’t need a special backstage pass. All the prima donnas in AEW are tweeting and bitching.
Well Tony is also 37 years younger than Vince and only been in the wrestling business for half a decade. Maybe one day Tony could have that level of chops. He has the chance to grow into the role more.
@@StealthMarmot_ Thing is Vince didn’t start off as a company owner or booker. He actually started out as an announcer for two years, then became a commentator and so on. Tony needs to start at the bottom and observe, not at the top.
Underhandedly buries his current pushover of a Boss
Respect. Jericho has deep respect for "the Godfather" of wrestling.
When someone tells you, 'You need to lose some weight' that's your friend. 😂
Couldn't picture Vince drunk and wanting to go to the gym at 4 in the morning and sending a pic of himself flexing in the gym 🤣🤣
Cause it never happened.
@@SUPREMELEGENDI've seen Jericho tell this exact story twice on seperate occasions. Storytellers at times can get carried away and exaggerate a bit, but there's a good chance it happened. Vince's eccentricity is legendary
Yeah.....Vince "trained" and "groomed" people alright LMFAO
4:51 "Vince would always say I don't expect you to do anything that I wouldn't do myself". Like what Vince? Literally 💩 on women's heads?!!
Suit and tie Jericho (which seems to be the era he was proudest of) was my least favourite Jericho era 😂. Y2J era all the way!!
Maybe Tony Khan could do his work experience with Vince 😂
Damn, Jericho was very close to Vince.
Let’s go to the gym pal- drunk Vinny Mac
1:04 Austin and probably Bret too, to a degree, were guilty of this…as great as they were. If Austin had simply verbalized to Vince back in 2002, that it’s a better idea to save the Brock match until Summerslam, Vince might’ve been open to that. But Austin impulsively quit. I’m guilty of the same thing too…communication is always important but it’s easy to forget that sometimes
Austin was pissed with his overall treatment at the time. The whole booking following the purchase of WCW was a mess, and Austin was being treated like some old has been. The random match against Brock broke the camel's back
A lot of subliminals in here... read between the lines. Loads of shots at AEW how its ran without saying it listen carefully.
I like what Chris said about Vince there. Aside from that, I was hoping Chris would have defeated Shawn Michaels in the feud they had in 2008.
Dint he win the final match against Michaels for the championship?
Christopher can see where AEW is heading. Warner has already started throwing the blame on Dragon for Punk being gone. This is what they did with WCW aswell. They tanked it then let Dave and his ilk convince everyone it was the boys who killed it. It wasnt. It was them.
Poor Brian Danielson. Shame on any dirt sheet writer that publishes this crap about him or any of the boys.
All these comments wouldnt be so salty and sweaty if he was still with WWE 😂

That Milli Vanilli shirt though 😂
Right?! That's what I thought too. So random.
Vinxe has that work ethic and can stay up all night because he doesnt do psychical work all day.
Vince humps people all day long.
This dude loves to stretch the truth, he was working for WWE for a total of 15 years.
“you don’t say no to anything” that line really hits now after everything came out about Vince currently in 2024.
Imagine being a bigger mark for yourself than anyone in the audience ever has been. Chris Jericho's biggest fan will always be Chris Jericho
You said "mark", so you must be an absolute titan of wrestling knowledge 😂
Which is how it should be 😅 great point, kid
You think any of the other "greats" are any different?
Mark
Yes, but that’s what makes him one of the best and I’m. It even a huge Jericho fan.
Pro wrestlers have to buy into themselves and be their own biggest fan. Those guys are always the best
Y2J Bay Bay !
The goat bay bay weather you like him or not.

Hahaha. Nice Milli Vanilli t-shirt. So random.
Y2J sounds like he’s going back eventually
"It didn't matter" - Vince allowed you to beat Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock in the same night. Lol this man is such a mark for himself.
Titles don't matter it's the creative and pull. The art form. Beating the rock and Austin was a weird last minute thing where he only found out 3 hours prior and he didn't have any family or anything there unlike what feels like most of the people who do win those titles for the first time. Between all of them, Jericho was the least known guy in the company, coming from WCW prior. Maybe he doesn't appreciate it as much, but I can't blame him. If what he's said is true about how he found out, Vince wasn't excited about the prospect, and they were treating Jericho like a pariah.
Vince Mcmahon say he wouldn't make anyone do anything he wouldn't is true whe you see him take a stinkface from Rikishi. No boss would do that.
😅 the shirt tho... gold
vince is someone who can turn a cat into the tiger
love the milli vanilli shirt lol
It's one thing when you're over the hill with a dad bod to get released by the company that made you a star after you languished in WCW for a few years and almost got decapitated in ECW. That happens all the time. Business. But he's literally working for a company that thinks it's WCW c. 1996 and they keep trying to start Twitter (sorry, X - I hate this generation) wars with a company that could squash them like a bug. And now that Paul realized that AEW is a glorified TNA, he's less likely to care about trying to sign AEW's top people. He might grab MJF or some of the underutilizied people, but guys like Jericho are done. They just found a billionaire's son who can book big venues in places that don't get to see pro wrestling very often.
chill brother, jesus
Hes speaking truth @yamcha3454
@@yamcha3454this mild critique upset you? It's true what they say about wrestling fans especially AEW fans: you've made wrestling your one and only personality trait.
@@JohnKobaRuddy im by no means a aew fan, but cvv is such a positive guy and a good interviewer, i dont feel like his comments section is the place to discuss the failures of aew
Vince himself is such a double-edged sword. On one hand he's a boss who's prepared to teach you life lessons and on the other... well...
Vince needs the ULTIMATE DOCUMENTARY on him at some point cuz as much shit as anyone talks they have more great things to say about the man. Truly an Enigma.
Netflix is working on one.
Not sure why this is NEVER brought up, but this dude not only needs to lose weight, but has needed to lose weight for YEARS
My dad loved vodka as well. I do not know how anyone can drink that stuff. It tastes disgusting.
Tony kahn probably doesn't wanna hear Jericho say "everyone should work for Vince for 6 months"😂
with CM Punk gone he is the actual one of their 4 true pillars
AEW 4 Pillars
MJF, Sammy Guevara, 'Jungle Boy' Jack Perry, and Darby Allin
AEW Real 4 Pillars
MJF, Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley
TBH if Adam Page had not fooled around too much he could be there, but seriously even though i am not a big Moxley fan he bleeds for AEW... MJF is the only one of the 4 pillars who is a legit pillar, Darby Allen was a pillar at some point until he started fooling around too much
Vince is a workaholic.
So is Jericho
He needs to step aside and let other guys move up
Shush
It's up to new talent to take that spot. AEW has 3 shows. You really think Jericho is worse than everyone on the entire roster lol
Vince sleeps with wrestlers i had no idea, yet im not shocked
the ones who debates with vince with their directions usually do well in the business..
AEW guys should work with Vince for six months ...... AKA Chris Jericho works with children .... now where have we heard that before, LMAO.
Y2J is great at suprise returns, I can see him returning to the WWE in the future to end things off.
Seating under the learning tree of VKM and Jericho can be used in every walk of your life. Workout while drunk.
Yup when you have 9pm bedtime before middle school you sneak in wwe until 11 and there's a click of 5 or 6 street guys that do that also
I'm sorry. I just couldn't see Vince as a Drinker. Lol. Him drunk would be hilarious though😊
Vince drinks Dewers? My stomach physically recoiled 🤢
This is so funny given his current relationship with TK and how he’s done nothing BUT BE HIS FRIEND 😂🎉
Its funny how chris says 17 years my question is does that count the 3 years he left from wwe in 2005-2007-8 ish
What a T-shirt worn by the aye-tolla of rock n rolla!
Jericho couldn’t even admit that WWE is doing great today with Triple H taking over, so salty lmao.

Turns out vince and Jericho is alot more alike than anyone would have ever thought
and on the third day Vince McMahon said “Godammit pal”
wwf was also run by the inmates the kliq, Shawn Michaels burying talent after talent.
Try explaining that to the guy that wishes your every current demands now, Chris.
AEW needs more consequences. Like that Gran Metalik guy
Loving the lip sync shirt.
Maybe Tony Khan needs to work 5 years with Vince so he can be the next villian 😂
Sounds like vince showed him how to be a creep as well
Jericho works for Tony Kahn. He is really being a hypocrite here. But hey, working for a money mark. Hey, keep getting paid. But don't be a hypocrite about it.
Jericho simply has a mature mindset. If Tony Khan isn't a good boss, that's on him. Tony would wish all of his talents were more like Jericjo in their work ethic and attitude.
Vince is a LEGEND!!!! He RULES!
He's a sexual assaulter, so no lol
Never was a huge jericho fan until AEW. Huge fan now!
one day tony khan will wake up and see that no one respects his style of running things and decide to worry more about making money, not friends.
People give Khan shit for being a friendly boss but Bischoff gets a pass despite having a close friendship with Hogan in WCW 😂
Jericho has certainly changed his tune

Girl, you know it's true!
I will never understand why Vince decided to go with HHH instead of his own son. What actually happened there?
I think (could be wrong) that Shane stated he has no interest in taking over. And even left a one point. Think he was happy being a talent and exec. HHH knows the biz better than anybody tho and is married to Steph his daughter so theres a McMahon still in the picture. And the WWE seems like the hierarchy is arbitrary everyone's allowed to have a voice so Shane can still shoot ideas etc.
Well also Shane had a few bad investments that costed his dad a lot of money which made him question his direction.
Its literally a fulltime job, day and night. I respect shane for walking away.
Personally, I think it's because HHH stuck around. He never left, Shane did. And let's be clear about something, Vince didn't "choose" HHH in the grand scheme of things. If he really wanted to keep it in the family, he would've never sold to endeavor and actually kept it in the family. HHH was right place right time, and thank god, had NXT as a portfolio to show his new bosses he knew what he was doing in 2023.
@@kcmichelson4528Shane definitely did. The problem was Shane was successful at many things & didn't dedicate all his efforts on WWE. He wanted Vince to buy UFC. Vince refused. This would later bite him in the ass. Vince saw Shane as a part timer. HHH & Stephanie stayed full time. Vince respected that.
Shane got heat with the boys backstage because he would come back, leave, etc then book himself like a god & it rubbed people wrong. Vince couldn't trust that so he went with the guy who he saw had the same work ethic as him, the body builder guy like him. HHH was the son he always wished he had.
CVV is the man but his viewers the biggest WWE fanboys I've ever seen
