    For me, it’s definitely in my rotation, along with Vitalis. My Brylcreem story; When I was about 9 years old my late father was helping me get both dressed and groomed properly. ( I have Cerebral Palsy and use a wheelchair to get around). He was putting toothpaste on my toothbrush. Unbeknownst to me, one day instead of putting toothpaste on the toothbrush, he accidentally put Brylcreem on it instead. NOT a pleasant experience, I must say. Love the channel. Thanks

    My barber recommended I use styling cream instead of gel because I don't like my hair getting crunchy. I got Old Spice styling cream because you can't go wrong with old spice right? Wrong. It still made my hair feel hard occasionally. The next time I went in I asked what he recommends specifically and he pulled out his tube of brylcreem. It's what he uses on me, and I love it. I just went out today and bought my own tube since I just got a new job and new beginnings are the perfect times for new looks. I love how cost-effective brylcreem is, but it also works wonders on my hair. I'm 19 and I just recently started actually caring about my appearance, and when it comes to hair, brylcreem is my go-to. 95 year old product that can withstand time, it must be good

      Wildroot Hair Cream works pretty good to. You should try Wildroot Hair Cream, it's a real good training cream to use for your hair to.

    I use that when I’m going to be indoors and have my hat as it’s not to strong and that hat traps the scent so when I take my cap off it smells good and my hair looks good as well

    I used to find it everywhere but lately it has been removed from the stores I frequent probably due to being a slow/low selling item, Amazon has it so no worries.

      At least in my neck of the woods, you can still find it at Walmart, Albertsons, and a couple of other places. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

    Fun fact: Both Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon used Brylcreem, while Gerald Ford used Vitalis. Make of that what you will.

    i love the British one better.. the red jar... but i have the Indian one and a few others (Mexico)... all good, but each smells different

    • @danbasta3677
      @danbasta3677 Рік тому

      From my understanding of the British Brylcream that comes in a jar, it isn't as greesy as the American version of the product. In this instance, I would much prefer the British version of Brylcream over the American version simply because I just don't like greesy hair. You use the product to help comb your hair, and style, even to train it the way you want to train your hair, however no need to greese it up and plaster it down, that gets rather gross looking. British Brylcream would be my choice in a jar if it were made available here in the United States.

  • @danbasta3677
    @danbasta3677 Рік тому +3

    Right above your head is a bottle of Vitalis. A much BETTER product I should say. Brylcream is OK if you want greesy looking hair, then again, depends upon how much of it you put into your hair, and it got to be just a small application and that's totally, it. A small application is all ya need with every other day hair washings, that's the answer to it.

    can you apply the cream on your hair more than once a day?

    • @classicalgrooming
      @classicalgrooming  Рік тому

      I imagine that you can, although I would recommend wetting lightly your hair with water (or better yet, a hair tonic) and just restyling. It will reactivate the cream and you won't have to put more on.

    • @danbasta3677
