New housings make such a huge difference both appearance and lighting the road
Yesss
I'm impressed that it has the auto leveling ability if you move the motors over from the OEM units.
Its always nice seeing a pmm vid get uploaded. Cant wait to see more of the mk3
Thank you!
Looks good, I got something similar a couple years ago, I love em!
God damn they look so nice! They look like they work really well too, probably much better than the foggy oems.
Great to see you making a videos again! Time to catch up on content
Haha thanks! But i nevet stopped, youtube just hides my videos from you unfortunately
Yes more mk3 just went back and watched all the mk3 videos so I’m caught up and can’t wait to see more of those over fenders. Keep on with your good content.
Thank youu!
I would put a halo on the low beams and a strap at the top. But ultimately I think a smoked OEM headlight with halo kit and top LED strap beats all
Hey so I just actually bought these. What do I actually have to buy for them other then the tools? Like do I need to buy more lights for it?
Do these headlights work with the factory bulbs?
Wish aftermarket zenki lights were readily available.
Yeahhh
Where can I buy the low beam connector?
We put the same exact lights on our 04 is300 but we have 2 black lines one of each side that comes on and my husband can’t figure out how to get rid of them maybe you can help I can send you a picture
what sort of '94 looking ls400 wheels are you running on that thing? lol
I’m trying to fit my hid connector through but it doesn’t fit. Any advice
What bulb did you purchased for your high beam? The link is currently unavailable
Can you give a step by step on how you spliced the two loose wires please?
Its just 2 wires, cut strip and use butt connectors or spade connectors
I wish they made new headlights for it that don’t show the light bulbs in the DRLs
Nope! OG for me.
Fuck those look freak awesome and makes the car look modern. I dislike most aftermarket lamp fixtures but these are better than factory by miles
right?! i love em!
Question, did you leave the rubber piece covering the low beams out so the original ballast wiring can connect to the new leds? Or did you find a way to keep the rubber cover on and feed the wiring somewhere else?
i think i just ran the wiring through the rubber piece
I took a razor blade and sliced an xmarks the spot and fed my wires through the rubber cap. If you are sticking with the included h1 high beam you dont have to do anything, just plug and play.
Currently in the middle of this swap but only have 1 indicator bulb ? Also did you change from the stock indicator fixing out of the old headlights ?
I didn't take anything from the old headlights
for me my indicator housings didnt fit in these. I had to chomp off the smallest of the 4 nubs to get em in! My car is an 05 and has 2x indicators for side.
I don’t understand HOW you managed to get that h1 in place securely, I can’t get the metal clip around it without it coming off
I honestly don't remember lol 😂
Did replacing the HIDs give you any problems?
nope
@@PoorManMods super late reply my bad but my low beams don't work anymore no matter how good I wire them. my fogs don't either, do u think I have a short?
did the headlights require HID's?? if so, how did you install LED low beams if it required HID's.
i show in the video how i did it. Removing the old headlight removed the old HID ballast. Before installing the new headlight housing i cut off the connector that went to the HID ballast, crimped on connectors that then plugged into the new LED bulb.
@@PoorManMods thank you so much
So those LEDs are a direct fit from that link? I'm trying to go LED as well
Yupp
@@PoorManMods sweet! i wasn’t sure since it says “H1” for the low beam
@@slowest2j they must have changed the listing, it needs to be DS2 for the low beam
these will work amzn.to/3emz1wj
@@PoorManMods awesome thanks for helping, haven’t been able to find much information on what bulbs people used
Hey the low beam light you posted on the link Amazon says it doesn’t fit the vehicle ? Are they still the same ones ?
Yes theyre the correct bulbs
@@PoorManMods thanks man, got the same headlights
@@xlugox7766 no problem!
@@PoorManMods Hey man, Ik it’s been awhile. I had these headlights for awhile now same beams, are they hard to see in the rain for you ? For me I been struggling, but maybe it’s just me.
I'd go an extra step further and apply a ceramic coating on then so they don't fade and yellow like just about all cheap Chinese made light housings do. Looks nice tho!
2 years later, how is your ceramic coating holding uP?
Hey man I wired the same way you did and everything turns on except the bottom led strip
did you figure it out? i got the same issue
Mine does the same 😞
@@vicentepatrick8635 lmk if you find a way
Every light only need positive and negative, switch the power and ground wire for the led strip and it should turn on
take em out and cut the wires and swap em.... they wired the polarity wrong just like homie says in the video. I had to do it for both of mine.
Why is H1 a bad choice?
It's small and doesn't produce much light
Was a good video till you skipped the wiring, everything works except my lex strip and halo
I like all your videos, but these 2002 looking chinese led "bulb" converted headlights are aint my favorite on any car...
If you still have your og ones, than forget polishing them (everybody polishing headlights and all fades back in no time).
You have to sandpaper those headlights in 3 steps (380 - 500 - 800) than use 2K clear coat: 1 very thin layer clearcoat (have to wait 10-15 mins aft this) than spray a thick layer of clearcoat on that headlight. It will last for years.
I personally like the look and function of the new headlights, chinese made or not. They are less blinding too, i get flashed all the time with the OEM housings and HID bulbs. But everyone has different tastes
I followed everything you put in the video but went with higher powered hid replacement leds. My one question on these are how do I manually adjust the light throw? I too ditched my light adjuster mechanism motor (failed). Thanks for the advance tip on reversing polarity for the led strip and wiring the halo together adjacent. Very useful info!
There should be adjuster, screws or something somewhere on the headlights that allow you to adjust it. They might be torx bolts or some kind of little screw
@@PoorManMods thank you for all you do brother.
