hey guys, i own a 2002 Lexus LS430. it comes from factory with reflector HID headlights. i’ve been thinking about retrofitting some morimoto D2S 5.0 projectors into my headlights. as with most old toyotas, the high beams are separate from low beam and function as a DRL when not in use. retrofitting the D2S 5.0 won’t mess anything up, right? the cutoff shield function won’t be an issue since i won’t be using it? thanks!

There should be no issues! As long as everything is powered properly on the D2S projector for the solenoid.

The OEM headlight uses LED projectors.

Hi, I have a 06 Dodge Ram 1500. Noticed a headlight assembly toward the end of the video that looked similar to my headlight assembly. Am I correct?

Why would car manufacturers still make vehicles with halogen housing headlights? I’ve seen modern vehicles with LED taillights and DRLs and even fog lamps, yet they have halogen headlights

Because they're cheaper to make for the base models and they still have the advantage of being serviceable. In theory a LED headlight will be much less likely to fail than a halogen but it still happens (especially if you drive in wet weather often) and when they do fail it's much easier and cheaper to replace a bulb vs an entire housing.

@@RetrofitSource I almost forgot the most important reason, it gives you an excuse to upgrade your headlights with better parts or new led housings from TRS.
