    Thanks bro. There are still people around who find this helpful. Still driving my ‘03 IS300 everyday. Needs some paint but she’s a 30 footer.
    From 30 feet, she looks alright. Thanks again.

    I went with the non hid altezza swap, the bulbs are much easier to access without removing the bumper

    I’m stuck on how you turned the motor of the headlight. There’s a notch on my so it’s impossible to turn

    • @Amercado7
      @Amercado7  6 років тому

      To adjust the headlight up and down?

    • @bruceadonnelly69
      @bruceadonnelly69 4 роки тому

      Have same exact problem. You cant turn the motor either way because of the notch.. I also cant get the ballast out even with all of the adjustment screws fully turned to left.. almost there but no cigar. I believe its bc of the motor keeping the lens to taught... dont want to break the motor rod connector.. will try again tommorrow.

      @@bruceadonnelly69 hey Bruce , I can’t exactly remember how I made it work off the top but the headlights are in so it’s possible!! I do remember running into your issue just can’t remember exactly because it wasn’t yesterday. Hope you get it tomorrow!

      I read on a forum that installing a resistor helps because those headlights draw different amounts of power.

    I managed to break the little ball in the little motor. What is the little motor for? Leveling?

    • @thirdpedalnirvana
      @thirdpedalnirvana 3 роки тому +1

      Yes it’s for automatic leveling. You can get a used replacement motor for fairly cheap. Interesting sidenote- i’m not sure what that other doohickey with the three screws is, though clearly it ties the adjustment of the high and low beams together. I’m not sure if you are supposed to set those and THEN put the doohickey on, but its definitely not a sensor (it has no wires). Actually the term “automatic’ leveling is a little misleading. There is no sensor on the lights at all. The adjustment position is set at the factory. What makes it automatic is there is a sensor on the front suspension that tells the car the position of the front suspension. All that it does it adjust the headlights up and down as the car squats and dives during acceleration and braking. It assumes the headlights are aimed correctly for when it’s parked, and just adjusts for the car shifting on the suspension.
