Thanks bro. There are still people around who find this helpful. Still driving my ‘03 IS300 everyday. Needs some paint but she’s a 30 footer. From 30 feet, she looks alright. Thanks again.
Thank you!! And haha in due time im sure you’ll have her looking great! I still miss my IS all the time ! Thinking about starting to film more car content again when i have time
Bro question I know this is old but I’m about to change out my headlights and I never noticed the city lights. Where you installed the LEDs. When are those supposed to come on exactly?
Have same exact problem. You cant turn the motor either way because of the notch.. I also cant get the ballast out even with all of the adjustment screws fully turned to left.. almost there but no cigar. I believe its bc of the motor keeping the lens to taught... dont want to break the motor rod connector.. will try again tommorrow.
@@bruceadonnelly69 hey Bruce , I can’t exactly remember how I made it work off the top but the headlights are in so it’s possible!! I do remember running into your issue just can’t remember exactly because it wasn’t yesterday. Hope you get it tomorrow!
Where did you get those small LED parking (city) lights? (the ones that are on the top corner of the low-beam cone that were on in the end of the video) can you provide a link please? Thanks!
Yes it’s for automatic leveling. You can get a used replacement motor for fairly cheap. Interesting sidenote- i’m not sure what that other doohickey with the three screws is, though clearly it ties the adjustment of the high and low beams together. I’m not sure if you are supposed to set those and THEN put the doohickey on, but its definitely not a sensor (it has no wires). Actually the term “automatic’ leveling is a little misleading. There is no sensor on the lights at all. The adjustment position is set at the factory. What makes it automatic is there is a sensor on the front suspension that tells the car the position of the front suspension. All that it does it adjust the headlights up and down as the car squats and dives during acceleration and braking. It assumes the headlights are aimed correctly for when it’s parked, and just adjusts for the car shifting on the suspension.
Mark Rand Well honestly im not exactly to sure about the 2017 model but my guess would be your best bet would be to check eBay to see if anybody is selling one
rstezza Mainly for the black housing to be honest and i have polished them but the previous owner smoked out the headlights with spray tint and I would have to wet sand them back to clear then polish the scratches out
Amercado7 I opened mine up put in Angel eyes and spray the housing black. Then polished them up. Came out great. But I need to reseal one of the headlights. Got moisture in it☹️
rstezza thats good man I love creating new content so im sure you will too! If you enjoyed the content please like & subscribe! That would help me out alot!

I think they were on everytime the headlights were turned on not sure why tho
I went with the non hid altezza swap, the bulbs are much easier to access without removing the bumper
Thats smart! Definitely alot cheaper to replace bulbs as well im assuming !
Really good video 👍 I wanna replace mine too.. Completely enhanced the front end.
Thank you! And i agree makes the car pverall look alot better
Thank you for the awesome feedback!
I’m stuck on how you turned the motor of the headlight. There’s a notch on my so it’s impossible to turn
To adjust the headlight up and down?

when u added those led did you get a light on the dash? its like the up n down arrow
brooklyn_ent nope no lights popped up cluster
I read on a forum that installing a resistor helps because those headlights draw different amounts of power.

Brandon Lee German/British cars are terrible too! Haha I've heard my fair share of stories about bmws and minis lol
Welcome to car life 😂
Why did you buy new lights?
You should have just polished your old ones. Would have come out like new. I did mine.
