This stream was peak. I agreed with joe eventually that this first act was by far the best and it was a treat to watch joe's reactions to all of the stuff that happened
The game tries to steer you a bit towards choices that aren't optimal. If Joe even sniffs that the game is maybe trying to steer him, he'll do the opposite just to see what happens. Worked out.
@@kyle2 if he knew grizzlies were gonna happen again he could've definitely won, but he played his adder early assuming the strange frog would stay on the board and hurt mothman
Joe messing around with the "escape room" part of the game for like 30 minutes at a time instead of playing cards because "my brain is telling me I can do something here" is so relatable
Totally unrelated to the content, but something I think is interesting is how there are, canonically, spiders in the game, but no spider cards. We see the spiders crawling on the table. I wonder why he never took any pictures of them.
Peak "less is more." Ditch the lucky card dilweed interludes. The second and third act, though... tricky. The second act is the weakest. It needed way more room to breath to get up to something like the scale of the Pokemon Trading Card Game GBC game. But even as short as it was it was kinda... in the way. The third act was more like the first, but definitely weaker. Some great moments though. Then the amazing ending. But the way it was written, you kinda needed the second act for all the sages to have some screen time, for the ending to hit right. Not sure what the right way to edit it would be...
He would have survived another turn, yes, but I don't think he would have won. The following turn would either have to pick up another squirrel or a creature and the creature would have been the snapper then (since he chose the squirrel last turn). So he would be dead then.
I bought the game then I stood up all night so I could finish it. I don't know when exactly I decided to this, but it might've been when the big reveal happened after defeating Leshy.
That exact song is in my No Thoughts Head Empty playlist on Spotify, so I recognized it instantly. It's "Life is Beautiful" (from Deadly Premonition like D-OS_II_Fan said).
Other than long post-game waits for foils, the only real negative consequence is in act 3, right? And that's only if he uses Ouro to get money, learns why that's a bad thing, then chooses to keep doing it for some reason.
@@skywarka If he abuses it in act 1 to much, teeth will accumulate and it will crash the game (funny and dumb at the game time, no biggy). After each battle you have to wait for all of the teeth to total up, killing the pace and difficulty of the game. Then in act 2 and 3 same thing, foils totaling after each battle and just making the game boring. The game is fun and unique in so many ways. But you can ruin it for yourself. For most games, people would say finding an exploit that reduces the grind is great. I would agree with that since most game are full of bloat. This is not one of those games. I feel sorry for someone that might have accidentally stumbled and found the ending of Outer Wilds in the first hour instead of enjoying the unfolding mystery. It's like that.
I'm genuinely curious as to why OP assumed that the paint streaks were all ones, rather than capital i's or lowercase L's. (Of course, it's just a paint streak, rather than any of the above... but still)
the 3 hand clock has 12^3 total configurations, that is 1728 total possible hand combinations you would attempt to brute force it (this is still nice compared to an actual clock which has 12*60^2 configurations) not inconceivable but also, probably annoying

He said a few times that if doesn't release the witcher 3 video by the end of 2023, hevs gonna delete the channel. Not sure if he's serious, bit he sounded serious... The video isn't out, and considering his sleep problems, I don't think it's going to be
I'm a pretty new viewer but his health is genuinely concerning me. I wish he would skip streams if he can get more sleep in. I'm sure he's seeing doctors and stuff and wants to work when he can but if he's about to start a stream but would rather sleep, I think he should do it. Long term sleep deprivation is extremely dangerous.
Disagree. The game wants you to do multiple runs to teach you the mechanics over multiple runs. Plus, if you have a strong enough deck, you *can* beat the bears and it just lets you keep going, if I remember right. Edit: posted this before actually watching the video, Joe does beat the bears in this very video. Woops.
This stream was peak. I agreed with joe eventually that this first act was by far the best and it was a treat to watch joe's reactions to all of the stuff that happened

Just saw this. Absolutely insane.

The first run was crazy and engaging to watch, thanks for uploading the vod!

The game only has 1 act. It ends after you beat leshy. Nothing happens after. It is perfect the way it is.
10/10 masterpiece
Yeah I peeked into act two and.....turned it off. Great game, 9/10, bit short
Act 2 is pretty decent and Act 3 is genuinely fantastic. Really wish people gave the other Acts a shot.
My favorite part was watching him miss the safe code almost as many times as I did
When you were reading subs at the beginning there was a quick heavy sigh that I felt in my soul.
Jesus Christ his 2nd run is insane.
always nice to wake up to a new vod
bruh your profile pic is that one girl from mha vigilante thats like the only time ive seen that character outside of the manga
it's been my picture for like forever but you're like the first to recognize it out in the wild
i think it sucks that the game punishes you for being too fast, however the reasoning behind it is completely understandable

Oh my GOD his first run is INSANE! HOW THE HELL?!
