28:08 about that joe... as someone who is "vod boy" so to speak, i have to admit that these "obscure" japanese games are so much fun and i did not even know about them before you intoduced those games to me. many "triple A" 100 dollar games have become too much corporate, formulaic, safe, made for being profitable. these games though genuenly feel like passion projects even though making money was still part of the plan of course. let's talk about something like danganronpa for example. danganronpa is quite big now, but that was not the case decade ago when it came out. it is a game that i would have never played because i am not really into visual novels or reading extensively in general during playing, but you introduced me to it and now, danganronpa 2: goodbye despair is one of my favorite games of all time. i am looking forward to playing it in original language if i ever become proficient enough in japanese language. i mean, sure, these japanese "weeby" games does have whacky, confusing and non-sensical parts to their writing, but the creativity of existing concepts are absolutely stellar. danganronpa excecutions are on another level in this regard. if i had to pick one out, chiaki's excecution is work of art as far as i am concerned. so yeah, there is a lot to like in these "obscure" japanese games, some of them eventually blow up like danganronpa did. anyways, the point is that it is not too surprising that many people, myself included, love watching joe play this type of games because of how endlessly creative they can get.
I agree with you on this. I've started watching Joe with his Persona 4 Golden vods. He's a really funny guy and I had many laughs (Kanjis watermelon scene was amazing)! I also watched and learned about Danganronpa thanks to Joe's stream. I gave Danganronpa a chance and finished both series with Joes vods. The game is a masterpiece! I prefer the first game probably because it has a larger impact on me (fresh concept), but they are basically both beautiful games (I prefer the cast in the second game, rip Mikan). I'm considering buying the Danganronpa collection on steam so I can support them more and I can play them my own way. I would love to gift Joe a Chiaki Model, but I need to earn more money so I can gift him some Danganronpa merch. Thanks Joe! If you stream anytime soon, I'll sub! I'll also see if I can send you gifts (If you don't have Danganronpa models, I can gift them when I can).
Ace Attorney absolutely has this same sort of vibe. The games made money, sure, but they are totally passion projects. They're by the same guy who made Ghost Trick.
God I love this game, so stoked to watch through these and hear Joe’s thoughts

Ghost Trick великолепна. Одна из лучших игр на DS.
I like your funny words magic man
Ага, неплохо
Good to see these bangers up, you're missing the playlists for these though
I've this game before, but wanted to watch Joe play it I got to 2:31:35 and never notice the HUGE foreshadowing done with that gun
So is it four minutes because the Japanese word for four is "shi" and the word for death is also "shi"?
type shi
'its not a game🎶'
Haha IIRC that meme started during the Persona 5 playthrough, correct?
@@m.czandogg9576Yes its part of a song used inside the palaces i think
"Its not a game" then something something
@@erikandre5689 Ah, the song is called "Life Will Change".

37:18 there seems to be a 2018 version to the continues the story if anyone's interested
Love this game, used to play it on my DSi. Never beat it though
28:00 ish - You get more viewers for games people already know are good. Games people are less likely to also be playing themselves at that moment.
Holy fuck does the music bang
1:25:10 Onion rings are just "veggie donuts."

Joe is taking a break from streaming to do the vod uploads and finish the video.

Unmedicated title.
