Just wanted to say thanks for posting this. It was enough to help me work out that had the same problem - as well as understand how the tap worked. Much appreciated.
I have a slightly different model. My retaining nut doesn't come off so easily - in fact, when I try to use an adjustable wrench, the whole base also turns. Any tips? Many thanks.
May I ask you these questions :: Do the spring goes IN the seat ? If yes do the smaller part of spring enter the seat OR the bigger part of the spring enter the seat ? thanks
Thanks so much for your video. I ended up with the handle opening up the wrong way but at least it stopped leaking. Are there right and left parts? Anyway, I put the old valve back in, cause it was still good, and I fixed my faucet and earned major man points!
If the boot and spring assembly is so critical, how about actually showing us what you did with the seat and spring - rather than just a quickie glance and then taking it out of the viewing area. And, oh by the way, you talk about applying silicone on "something" but you don't show us on what and where you are applying the silicone.?????
I watched SO many videos, I couldn't figure out what I was missing and yours is the one that helped me! THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting this!!!!!

Hi Charlton great tutorial on how to fix a leaky faucet. Stay well and safe 👍🏻😷
Dude, your epically awesome hair alone deserves a like and a subscribe! But seriously, thanks much for this as it helped me out a lot.
A tweezer works really well to put in that seat, and spring.
On my cold water side water is dripping under the sink when the handle is turned on.
It drips directly from under the mounting nut. Any idea why?

Danko stems have not worked well for me, so I use Delta OEM. Danko o rings and springs seem to work well.
