Fantastic instructional video, covered all the bases, very easy to follow, not too long or overly complicated… and we were successful with our repair!
@@diczuchry4382 Thanks so much for the kind words and for sharing your success story!!
Perfect instructional video, no goofy music, no wasted time, i.e.introducing yourself, jokes etc etc. . Clear speaking and perfect video. You should teach a how class for people posting vids. Thank you!
Awww thank you for the compliment! We are glad the video was able to help!
You have no idea how invaluable videos like these are. You are doing a public service!! ¡Gracias!
@@sparkonthehorizon Thanks for the very kind words! a thanks for choosing our video also!!
This is the way an instruction video should be made. Very detailed and informative. Compare this video to the Delta instructional video. This one is so much better. Thank you!
Very good , easy to follow, great job
Totally agree!
Thank you so much for your reply and watching 😊
I agree too! The one from Delta is not helpful, especially for someone like me, who never has fixed bathtub faucet leaks before! Thank you for your help!
I have a peerless bathroom faucet. I’ve changed out the cartridge, seat and spring on the hot side numerous times and I still have a steady drip? Help!!!😮 It is driving me crazy!!!
Very thorough and respectful of the parts and areas in where he is working. Some plumbers get the job done but ruin a finish or scratch the sink or counter. This is a professional.
Thanks for the nice comments and for watching!!
@@TappPlumbingthis video was VERY helpful to me EXCEPT that 1.) the Allen key required for my set screw was a larger size (cold side). The hot side's set screw appears to be jimmied because my Allen key cannot get any grip. Is it time to call the plumber?
@@UnderDog1911 That depends on the time verses money equation. If you can’t get the screws out it is gonna turn a little more time consuming and you need to have new handles also . Either the screws will have to be drilled out or the handles will have to be sawed off.
This is one of the best DIY videos I've seen on UA-cam. Great step-by-step explanations and attention to detail!
We are so happy to help your dripping Delta Faucet ! We appreciate the kind words!!
This is the way a master journeyman teaches a no nothing apprentice; thank you very much!
I particularly appreciate that you took the time to mention plugging the sink drain before starting any disassembly. There's nothing more aggravating than dropping a small part and helplessly see it fall into the drain. It's happened to me but only once...
Sir, you just saved me a plumber's bill and a ton of hassle. I followed your instructions and fixed my delta bathtub faucet. Turned out to be a cracked valve seat, which I wouldn't have figured out without your video. Thanks in 2023!
I have watched a number of these videos. This is the BEST i have watched. This man gets the job done and has great tips.
Dave Benson thank you so much! We appreciate the kind words and so glad it was helpful!!
I just fixed my sink 56 year old female OMG thank you so much I know I couldn't afford to hire someone like you 🥰🥰🥰
I’m 43 years old woman and I’m going to do tomorrow 😅
This is the best DIY video that I have seen. The helpful tips made this an easy job for me to do the right way, especially how to get the seal and spring out and the replacement parts in. Also appreciate giving the model number of the cartridge so that I could shop around for the best price and make sure it was in stock before heading out to the store. Thank you very much !!
Thank you so much! You did a wonderful job of filming this procedure and explaining everything step-by-step. Now I need to do the bath/shower faucets.
This was an excellent video. I was able to repair my drippy faucet. The description of preparing the area (towel down, shut off water, close drain) were really useful. It's easy to forget those kind of things if you're in a hurry to try and fix your problem. I also called Delta and got free replacement parts. I know doing this myself easily saved me $100+. Thanks
Thank you so much for the kind words!!! You are most welcome. We love to hear about the success stories!!!
I’ve replaced seats and springs but always watch videos first. This video reminded me about the orientation of the parts as they’re removed to make stem installation simpler. Thanks for the tidbit.
You are welcome and we are glad it was helpful! Thank you for waiting!!!
Finally someone who knows what they're doing. Well done and thanks!
Thank you so much for the kind words and spending your time to watch!
+1 on the positive comments. Excellent instruction that worked perfectly ... turning a DIY project (with the normal 'trial and error' risk) or a $$ plumber bill (if you're not the DIY type) into a flawless 10-15 minute fix, all in. When you call Delta for a replacement cartridge be sure to request seats and springs too. Delta will send a new cartridge(s) for free under lifetime warranty but I had to run to HD for the seats and springs because I didn't know to ask for them.
Helped me fix my leaking faucet and warned of many possible errors. Nice work. Thanks!
Joe, this is a great instructional video. I changed one of this out about 10 years ago. I forgot that delta gives a warranty for life on these steams. Thanks for the tips!
Greg Souther it is our pleasure! You my friend are a great student!!
@@TappPlumbing hahaha! i'm from south GA. I had to watch the video several times!

This is the definitive guide to repairing a leaking/dripping Delta bathroom sink faucet. The video also shows how to approach and conduct all repairs: plan ahead, have the right parts and tools, and be careful not to cause damage. I really appreciate the thoroughness of this video.
Thank you so very much for the kind words !
Thank you so very much!!! I've had the parts on hand for a year but have been too afraid to tackle this repair. Instead, I just keep constantly sopping up the ever worsening leak. Your video and explanation have given me the courage to handle this task. I truly appreciate how very articulate you are and how well you explain all the vital information without a lot of irrelevant chatter. This may be the best how-to video I've ever seen!!! Thanks for sharing your expertise and practical knowledge. I'm going to fix my faucet right now!
Thank you so much for the kind words! We appreciate you and Happy Plumbing Nanne!!
Just right combination of specific detail and teaching a few tips and principles along the way. Terrific help, thanks.

Best, most informative and easy-to-follow video I found....thanks!
I had one bathroom faucet dripping and one leaking at the base. This video allowed me to replace 3 of the four stems and all the washers and springs. The extra notes about towels, washcloths and orientation made this perfect. I feel accomplished and there's no longer water where it's supposed to be dry.
Great news ! We love hearing the success stories!!!
This was incredibly helpful! I just changed the cartridges on my Delta faucet and it came out great!
Great Job!! We love hearing that!!
100% perfect instructions! Thanks, Joe!
Very professionally done. Thanks for posting. I appreciate the time.
Put it like this, amazing attn to detail. This is clearly a pro who has done this job many times and didn’t skip any tutorials for even the newbies. This video was amazing. I know my limits when to hire and I am not going to do this project at this point in my life and this video helped me make that decision. Thank you.

Thank yooooooo!! This is the only video out of many that I watched which enabled me to get that darn spring and gasket down in that little hole. My first faucet cartridge change and successful. Thanks to you!!
You are welcome! We love to hear the success stories!
Thank you so much for this. After fixing my sink, I have just a few comments
1. My handle took some strength to get off. Dont worry if you have to pull hard
2. Take a pic of the stem before/after taking it out.
3. Home depot lists the part as a "stem" and not a cartridge, just so people dont get confused.
There is part RP255513 and 255513-3. Not sure what the difference is. They are the same skew# at HD.
My handle felt a lot loser and easier to move after fixing it. Works great, no leaks. Just felt different
Hope this helps everyone!

Thanks to your thumbnail having the exact same faucet as me I was able to identify my cartridge as a Delta. A big help to go out and buy one. Was leaking from the top going down threads leaking under sink. Took me a long time to diagnose. Thought the hose was leaking at first.

Excellent video, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
Just awesome presentation. Thank you for sharing. People can learn more than the simple task from watching. Use oem parts, towels especially for dropping things since Murphy's law, it WILL go down. Orientation is big in anything. Cells, take some pics, helps, mechanic like brakes. Trust me, we will forget what we took apart! Especially at my age. Thanks again, Shawn

Had to watch 3 different videos before I found one that showed the correct orientation of the spring and seat. Thumbs up for that.
I am glad you found the info you needed. Thanks for watching our video!
Very well done. I think the main take away, very important, that the spring and grommet must seat and be bouncy on the valve in order for the valve to work! Thanks. I watched others but yours brought it home.
Thank you Chuck ! We are so glad to hear !
thank you. if i had of watched this first, I would of not had broken the handle, and the stem on my sink trying to get it to stop leaking. this is just what I needed to see. Awesome.

This is by far the kindest description of my accent! Thanks so much for the kind words and for watching our video!
Very HELPFUL video. 🥇 love it’s straight to the point. Followed it today to fix a drippy Delta faucet. Easy! Most time consuming was driving to hardware store. Note to future self: Do not throw away the fixture box…or at the very least write down the model number, goofball! (Speaking to myself there.) The faucet was installed in a new bathroom in 2017 so I was fairly confident the valve and seat/spring model numbers at the store would work. They did.
Thank you so much for the kind words and sharing your success story!!!
