Blinking CEL is usually the result of a really bad misfire and unburned fuel is being dumped into the exhaust manifold and damaging the catalytic converter. The CEL code would shed some light but an engine misfire is more likely to be caused by bad ignition coils, which would affect the boost as the misfire would affect the engine vacuum as a result of an incomplete fuel burn, which would also affect acceleration and give what would seem like TPS symotoms.
TPS has a slot fixing on so you can slide it in position, it needs to be pretty spot on too. If its broken, theres a good chance you'll need a new one. Also if the engine hesitates and miss fires. Theres no obvious problem, try looking at the exhaust for blockages in the catalyst.
im a delivery driver and it's so scary working a 10 hour driving shift with a flashing check engine light. but just put 1200 in my vehicle in the last week for separate issues. how did you fix this? expensive?
Hello my Neon was having issues in the TPS and one thing I noticed is that the fuel consumption was very quick, because TPS also Calculates how many fuel your car should use while you use the throttle, so if you're are noticing this phenomenom plus the issues being shown in this video, so yeah it's your TPS, TPS is not a reparable piece you have to buy it OBLIGATORY so watch out Neon owners. BTW nice STR4, really great car, (sorry for misspelt or something).
theres something i cant remember what it is. but its has to do with your idle. that got unplugged its super fast takes literally 1 sec to plug back in. ill find out what it was and get back to you but as far as the misfiring did you ever figure that out cuz im having the same problem and i was told tps wiring
Mine does the same thing except I don't have a miss fire and have no check light! It stays at 2000rpms when I come to a stop and it kicks its self back down to regular idle!
my tps says lower than expected. But my idle is fine. But acceleration is really slow, and i cant red line in "D", but if I turn over drive off it runs fine, or if I drive in "1" or "2", it will rev fine. BUt when on D, I can get to well beyond highway speeds, but the acceleration isnt there and cant get past 3000 rpm...
hey me too man...go to modern performance i ordered mine for 24 bucks..but when im in 4 gear and i pin the gas down the rpms wont rise above 3800 or so..ill let you know if it fixes that weird problem.. what codes have you gotten?
Omar Lebron Customz76 TPS tells the computer what position the throttle body’s at so it can work with the mass air flow sensor to determine how much fuel you are asking for. So if you all going hard on the throttle to get up to speed on a highway computer looks how far open the throttle is measure air going past the mass air flow injects the right amount of fuel needed. When the sensors goes bad the computer gets the wrong signals and it gets confused and you loss power sometimes stalling the car.
if you broke the connector replace it , when you do half ass shit you will get half ass result's like what you showed here, you virtually told us and fixed your problem without knowing
Steel Not really if you are pushing on the gas pedal and just have no power at all plus you feel the engine lagging it’s the TPS the computer dosnt know the position so it gets confused with the readings usually it stalls the engine. If the tach jumps up and down also symptoms of a bad TPS

@Omen Blackwood ya it was the tps wiring

How did you fix it? Did you have to redo the whole wiring? Im having the same problem.

Why don't you do an OBD2?
pretty much same thing on mine lol ive already replaced so much ganna try the tps if that doest work i give up ill take it to a pro
my neon boost gauge des not work ever since i got it out of the dealership so i got custom digitals from AEM

I'm having the same issue I was boosting and my sensor popped off the cold side pipe and since then it hangs at 2 k rpm idling
Yea tps I hav that in my 87 IROCZ 350

Isnt it P1108 code i think?
P0123 is the the engine code I got and its doing the same thing.

hallmonitor98. Was the tps sensor?
Did you ever fix it having same issue
My 92 camaro dose this.. its most likely your tps.
It's in limp mode!
hey me too man...go to modern performance i ordered mine for 24 bucks..but when im in 4 gear and i pin the gas down the rpms wont rise above 3800 or so..ill let you know if it fixes that weird problem..
what codes have you gotten?
Brady L what was your problem with the not accelerating over 3800 rpm. I have the same problem and cant seem to figure it out.
my dodge went thru 2 of those
Looks like the coil&packs
Wtf?
I have that same problem
blinking check engine light stahhhhpppp he carrr :P
does the tps have to do with its boost ... cause im having that problem now ,,,,

What code came up?
Tony Patino this was so long ago I have no idea
if you broke the connector replace it , when you do half ass shit you will get half ass result's like what you showed here, you virtually told us and fixed your problem without knowing
more like maf....throttle position wont even allow u keep a steady gear it will jump at every 5 to 10 sec
Steel Not really if you are pushing on the gas pedal and just have no power at all plus you feel the engine lagging it’s the TPS the computer dosnt know the position so it gets confused with the readings usually it stalls the engine. If the tach jumps up and down also symptoms of a bad TPS
@Brady Lampert i fixed it email.me at rckv3n0m@gmail.com
omg what the fuk u have check engine light man
Its a piece of shit dodge.
my neon boost gauge des not work ever since i got it out of the dealership so i got custom digitals from AEM
