Dobermans are strong and independent thinkers. They have a sense of humor and they like to change things up. They resent mindless drills of repetition. I was an obedience ring steward and I had the chance to watch a man drilling his Dobie over and over and over in the obedience exercises before their turn to go into the ring. At first he performed flawlessly, but with continued drilling the dog got more and more fed up and sullen. When it was time to perform in the ring, everything went well until it was time to go out over a jump, pick up a dumbbell, and bring it back over the jump to the handler. As the man threw the dumbbell I could see by the look on his dog's face that something unusual was about to happen. He smoothly ran out, over the jump, and picked up the dumbbell. He returned over the jump and headed straight......to ME instead of his handler! If a dog's eyes and mouth can laugh, he was doing it. He KNEW this wasn't correct. I asked the judge, "Well, should I finish him? I know what his commands are." The judge said, "Sure, go ahead." So I gave the command to give the dumbbell, which he precisely dropped into my hand, and told him to heel. He did a perfect military style flip finish. I gave him a pat and handed the dumbbell back to the owner. Everybody ringside was laughing at this dog's intelligent rebellion against being drilled endlessly.
Poor dogs. Looks like they have the most boring life ever. Never get to experience anything. A short walk in the street and a back yard... wow... Id never sell dogs to people like this. No connection what so ever

It kills me that people like this get their hands on beautiful, intelligent breeds and then waste their potential. Meanwhile, I can't adopt a working dog because I've not legally owned one, despite growing up around them and having the patience and drive to train one. It's just money, isn't it?
I feel the need to share this sage advice from someone online, which went something like "in order for a dog to be unobedient or "stubborn" they have to fully understand what you want from them THEN choose not to obey" These dogs have zero training, it is laughable to blame poor leash manners on them.
Yeah, plus conflicting signals from three family members, at the same time (the footage of mom and kids on the street, trying to walk a dog). Poor Dobies are just confused like hell.
I'm amazed these two dogs are so well-adjusted and still behave relatively well despite being treated like a burden and with no real training whatsoever. These people are lucky they have such good dogs.

@Tiffany Devries agreed. I mentioned somewhere else that if she has a back problem maybe she might be high on pills. Non narcotics can mess you up too. She looks out of it. Just my two cents
Why did the dogs never learn how to walk on a leash? When you start training them when they are puppies it really isn’t that difficult. I don’t believe for one second that these dogs were taken out for walks daily.
It's a common problem and it's especially difficult when the dogs don't have enough stimulation and are never calm enough to learn. The owners had no clue how to train a dog so the dogs had no chance to learn the right thing
I did this with my rotties. It works like a charm. I don’t have to run just walk briskly/power walk. Just enough to get the pups in a trot and it gets them so focused. They burn off more energy, remaining calm for the walk and have a lot of fun. And in time as they become accustomed to all the sights, smells etc they are less overwhelmed at slower speeds.
The same girl that got the head harness “wrong” is the same person that drives 50 mph in the fast lane when the speed limit is 75 mph...they just don’t care....End of story!!! If you want to make it work then you will make it work however possible INCLUDING listening to a trainers professional advice. And just for the record a head harness is not that hard to figure out. Most come with multiple tags telling you where the muzzle goes, what is up, what is down, and what goes behind the head. Don’t believe me?? Go to petsmart and see for yourself! If you can do a kindergarten puzzle, you can use a head harness!!! Do it for the benefit of the dogs...

I have never owned a dog in my life, but i literally opened my mouth in shock when she took off the harness outside and let the dog "run home". What was Barbara thinking?
Victoria has to have a lot of patience with people who don't listen and just gives up So easily.
The boys are doing a great job.
Victoria is very understanding and patient with Barbara. Loved that quality of hers.
"Or following simply direction" this is the biggest burn but shes right and she should say it
victoria: "you hold the loop in one hand and the food in the other"
barbara: "i had trouble because i didnt realize i had to hold the loop in one hand and the food in the other"
😂😂😂literally
He needs to stop pretending that he actually walks those dogs.
Both of them needs to stop pretending that it's actually them family.
Thinking the exact same thing.
The twins are doing better than the mother
Chuchai both parents
I had the same thought!
Dad is at least trying and walking the dogs, the mom just gives up way too fast :/
Well the mother has back problems, i can see why she’s a bit frightened
SkysM or she’s making it up so she won’t have to walk her dogs and pick up after them
Still forgotten: such nice and loving dogs. A miracle with these owners
Poor dogs. Looks like they have the most boring life ever. Never get to experience anything. A short walk in the street and a back yard... wow... Id never sell dogs to people like this. No connection what so ever
RESEARCH THE BREED BEFORE GETTING A DOG. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE TIME PATIENCE AND ENERGY TO KEEP DOGS HEALTHY AND STIMULATED
As a doberman lover I have to say... Poor dogs.
I have never seen such an incompetent woman.
Its ridiculous, I'm sorry.
But i think they Look very chilled for the Situation they have
Dobermann Jeff because they just don’t care
i wonder if one day these dogs get so frustrated that they maul someone to death. Not because of the breed but the miserable life they life at this home.
I have more knowledge on herding breeds, therefore I'm curious to know why you say she's incompetent while working with these dogs, which are clearly not herding dogs... Always eager to learn some more
whitjackla valdez I think they mean the owner, who was clearly incompetent.
This makes me miss my Dobermans, and so sad that people have no idea how amazing they can be when you bond.
Ah, this was the woman who said "Why do something like that yourself when you can just pay someone else do to it?" all snotty and refused to help even Victoria pick up their dogs crap filled yard. Don't think her "back problems" are as much of a problem as her attitude is. She is obviously more suited for a pet like a cat, not a dog person. I feel so bad for these beautiful dogs. They look so sad and like they need a job to do, Some kind of direction and routine! Using a head collar is not that hard, I'm sorry. Especially since the dog was so eager to put it on when Victoria was doing it. The husband started to do pretty good though.
I think if she got a cat she wouldn't clean the litter box either. She probably just should not have any pets.
@@caracampbell4348 cats need to be played with everyday to point they're panting aka tired otherwise they will start causing problems such as attacking hands and feet, knocking things off shelves/counters, scratching furniture... A lot of people don't understand cats either. Which is there's a show called "my cat from hell."
I have cats as well, I'm just saying her personality seems more like she would have preferred a cat over dogs but her husband got his way. Actually, now that I think about it and watch it again, she doesn't seem like she would like or want to deal with any animal probably. So you two are both very right. lol
Exactly. She’s ridiculous, she’d be more well suited to a pet rock. 🙄 And halters are DEFINITELY not that hard lol, my service dog uses a gentle leader and I could put that thing on him in 10 seconds blindfolded lmao. This lady’s just a whole mess 🤷♂️🤦♂️
She wouldn’t even suit a cat the poor creature I think she would be best with no pet at all
This reminds me of myself and my Doberman when I first got her... chest harness, patience, and A LOT of walks to connect with the dog is what got me to walk my dog peacefully now :)
The harness is probably why it took so long... Martingale collar and a short leash is best way to train a dog to walk next to you
“I didn’t plan on walking the dogs” ?????? It’s your dog, how are you not planning on walking them.
🤣🤣
Lol that's what my mom does and I'm like I'm going to walk the dog and she's like no your not my mom is irresponsible but I am responsible Lamo
they should have bought cats
i think she thought they walked themselfs lmao
Amra Pezerovic cats aren’t easy either, they probably wouldn’t have played with them xd
Sending love to all doberman owner from our two dobies sonya and Elly
It's scary to think this lady is raising children. She can't handle anything
"There are people to hire to handle that." She probably outsources parenting to a nanny AND expects the teachers at school in charge of their education to also take on raising them, and yells at the teachers if they aren't raising her own children as well as she should be.
Bc she probably has ppl that do everything 4her..the entitlement of it all..
🤣🤣🤣
I'm wondering if she's just high. She has a bad back so she might be on pain killers... Even non-opioid meds can mess you up
Ariane Dennison tru doe
The kids were so sweet and kind hearted
Barbara is incredibly impatient and immature about it
Barbara needs to be slapped
@@evemaldonado5709 she clearly needs to be slapped and brought to her senses. 😂
"When it comes to following a simple command, she finds it difficult" 😂😂😂😂 hold the harness in one hand and the treat right in front of it. barbra: holds treat one foot away and higher than the harness.
How on earth has Barbara survived through life for this long..
Maybe shes a women?! 🤣😉
Seriously, probably just bagged herself a dude that makes six figures and threw her feet up on the coffee table.
Good snatch can carry a lady a long way. He ain't putting up with her for any other apparent reason.
@@DobermannJeff "maybe she's a woman" riiiiiiiight.............thats it........because THAT'S her issue........🙄😑🤢😡 sigh

When i'm feeling sad I come back to this video just to watch Barbara. Her putting that collar on has me howling with laughter every time ahah she acts like a 5 year old when she gets impatient. Don't worry Barbara I get like that too.
We have a doberman pup. He comes with me to the farm gets daily walks on and off the leash. Gets some agility training has had puppy training and that's not including the stuff we do at home. He is a challenging (but a rewarding) pup he would rule the roost with these people!
Jack: *waddling like a duck, barely using the command, not praising, just sort of shuffling*
Narrator: "Jack is really getting the hang of heeling the dogs!"
This was so frustrating to watch. So awkward
New episode title: "Owner can't follow instructions on how to walk their dog."
I feel a little bad for her, but it just seems so straight forward it's hard to fathom people having SO much trouble with thought-out, thoroughly explained training sessions. Even the kids knew better.
It astounds me how someone can fail so badly at the simplest of instructions, even after they had someone teach them. I really hope this woman was doing this on purpose cause if not... Oh boy.
Shes an entitled brat. I got that the min6she refused to help clean her OWN YARD🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ & said the theres other ppl that could do that. I guess she just thought she was to good 2do it herself 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
She just doesn't wanna do anything. Do nothing stay home all day long. I wonder if she has any interest in her family too. She needs to be slapped to bring her back to her senses. 😂
Barbara’s only back problem is not having a spine when it comes to taking leadership over the dogs
How does this only have 5 likes??? This is the BEST burn. 😂😂
I like your use of the word 'leadership'. I teach my students how to be leaders for their dogs - 'leaders' as in 'teachers'. I never the use the words 'alpha' or 'dominance'.
VB S Theres been proof that Caesar Milan’s whole teachings of asserting your dominance over your dogs so that you’re the alpha rather than them just doesn’t work long term. Being a leader and teacher gives the dogs a job to complete. That’s what big dogs were domesticated for 🤷🏻♀️
@@cstiny101 I agree. I use positive reinforcement techniques in all my training classes.
@@alpha1solace awww thank you♥️😘
even tho their ears and tails were destroyed they look beautifull and are good dogs that just need to be trained right, good job victoria, all those dogs would suffer so much without your help
lol @ their ears and tails were "destroyed"
It kills me that people like this get their hands on beautiful, intelligent breeds and then waste their potential. Meanwhile, I can't adopt a working dog because I've not legally owned one, despite growing up around them and having the patience and drive to train one.
It's just money, isn't it?
I feel the need to share this sage advice from someone online, which went something like "in order for a dog to be unobedient or "stubborn" they have to fully understand what you want from them THEN choose not to obey"
These dogs have zero training, it is laughable to blame poor leash manners on them.
Me: mom doesn't allow to have a dog
Also me: IM GONNA SPEND MY DAY LEARN AND DO RESEARCH ABOUT DOGS
Your time will come kid 🐕❤️
One Day 😉👍🏻
And that's why you'll be an awesome owner one day 😉
Learning and research is very important. I wish I had known more when I got my girl 😅😂
That’s what I did for a couple years then eventually I managed to persuade my mum to get me a dog
The kids were awesome and Victoria handled the backyard situation well.
When she was learning how to put dog head collar I was like - how high her IQ is, 0? come on it's not rocket science. Later it was worse. I have no idea why she is so shy with this dogs, maybe she is just not a dog person.
I've never seen someone so unsuited as Barbara for owning even one dog - especially not such a powerful dog as a fully grown Doberman!
You are so rude. Head collars are not the easiest to put on. You don't have to insult that lady's intelligence
@@squirrelsinmykoolaid I was thinking the same as @Jagged Alliance. I don't consider facts can insult a person - it's eighter that they'll do something about it or they'll accept it as it is.
@Tiffany Devries agreed.
I mentioned somewhere else that if she has a back problem maybe she might be high on pills. Non narcotics can mess you up too. She looks out of it. Just my two cents
If she is not a dog person, why would she agree getting a dog let along 2 DOBERMAN that need work..god🤦🏻♀️
Wow! These dog are SO incredibly NICE! My doberman would have taken over the house already....
“This is fricken ridiculous” she says. It’s ridiculous that a breeder would even let these fools take the dogs! smh.
The dobermans are huge and gorgoues❣💕🐾😍 Good job victoria as always👍
Check the ones im my vid😄 European Dobies
That music playing everytime Barbara was struggling... I can't lol
If you got a really over stimulated dog try running with them i did with my dog and now he behaves all the time
Yes, I thought the dogs would prefer to run a bit with the boys to the halting unfocused 'walk'
This should be called “The dogs are smarter then the owners”
No it's not the dog, it's you.
4:40 That eyeroll though😂
Lol thanks I didn't even notice that fr I guess this woman is more ignorant and clueless than I thought
That women is riduculous, zero patient and zero attention spam

Your are the BEST known trainer I know!❤️🙂🙃😀
I've never seen such an awkward series of dog and owner interactions 😬
My puppy was never taken on walks, I had to teach him, every time he saw somebody he laid on the ground with his paw up protecting himself (as he was abused) my puppy knows how to walk now, I don’t need somebody to tell ME how to walk a dog or when to walk them, so it’s kind of sad...
Yung HotTrash your dog used to roll on his back Because it’s him being submissive
@@alyssasmith4760 bc he was afraid of being abused
I have a coupler lead for my huskies and it works wonders. I also taught them the “ let’s go “ and “ sidewalk “ commands so they know when to redirect both to the sidewalk and when they stop.

(This is part 2 to the destroying Doberman alone at home)
Actually they train you how to train your dog. So both.
@@deinwerterhausmeisterschwo8272 because the owners made the dog the way it is so they have to learn how to fix it. SO basically always the owner.

how could this woman survive. she knows nothing but knows everything better. poor husband. he is in charge for everything
I believe you have to have not only patience but confidence in yourself. You have to be the pack leader, the in charge. Dogs can sense what your feeling. I'm 71 active but have Arthritis as nd I'm trying to adopt a 95lb Airedale mix. I have had 5 Airedales and just lost my last one last year. Where I'm hoping to adopt him, I have confidence in myself to walk him because that's what they need to see. It's also important to myself. I want this dog in my life and there's two other applicants. I need to show strength. She has no patience to me that can't be taught. She gives up right away. Victoria I use to watch you on animal planet. Impressive, I never had any problems walking my dogs ever.
omg dobermans are so beautiful
They really are❤
I'm sad they've had their ears and tails mutilated.
zammmerjammer the tails are ok like that but not there ears
Theyre cool too
The dogs were looking at barbara like "dude what the hell are you doing?"
now i'm in quarantine imma need these videos more frequently pls
Barbara is a kind of person who always accidentally throws the candy in the bin and eats the wrapper instead
You can’t really force a big, strong dog to do what you want. You need the patience and kindness to teach them.
You also need to establish yourself as a leader and not an imbecile that loses patience after a minute. Barb is weak, insecure and doesn't seem to really care about these dogs. I dearly hope they rehome them with someone who knows/loves Dobermans. I'd go get them in a NY minute.
My English is no good but she is such a great trainer both for dogs and the dog owners. I enjoyed watching it a lot.
can tell by watching her she aint a dog person and prob inside her comfort zone a bit though have kids but not having learned patience yet? yikes
Ikr. She has twins too. It makes ya wonder if she had a nanny.
She probably hired someone to rais the children just like with the dogs...
She doesn't seem to even like the dogs
OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH
Of course, Barbara is having difficulty in training the dogs, afterall dogs are smarter than her. 😂🤣🤣😂
Right!! Too strong for normal people.
Its sad to see dogs suffer because of the irresponsible owners😓
Two gorgeous Dobermans in the absolute WRONG hands. I feel sorry for those dogs. Having raised/trained Dobermans my whole life, I can assure you that you're lucky these dogs don't completely overtake you and not in a good way. I'd be happy to have those two beauties in my house and recommend this lovely family get themselves a much less active breed.
Yes they're gorgeous!
I don’t even have enough eyes in my head to roll at this dude.
We recently got a dog. Started walks that same day & registered for dog training. I wanted this to b a great experience for dog, my daughter and me:)
Such beautiful dogs!

"Okay."
*proceeds to put the treat through the colar and force it on*

Wow Victoria strutting in those heels with a doberman, what a boss!!
My Grandma’s neighbor’s dogs are a mess like there so aggressive they have a rotti and it bit lots of people
Christa Milbreath it needs to get put down if it’s uncontrolled and biting people
Christa Milbreath . The reason why that dog is so aggressive is probably how the owners treat the dog as most Rottweilers I know that are very friendly as they are treated properly
its not he rotties fault that the owners didnt know how to train a rottie, bad owners makes bad dogs. Not the other way around.
@@alyssasmith4760 no it needs to be retrained
Flair 226 no if it’s a older dog that has bitten MULTIPLE people animal control needs to be called so I can be rehomed or put down
Incredible these two beautiful dogs are only pulling the leash. They seem to be really chill otherwise. They could've been a whole lot worse
Trust me, you are 100% correct. This situation could really go south if these dogs lose THEIR patience.
