When a dog is this big and well-behaved, he is definitely a "sir".
Sir Sits While Butt Washed, is his royal name.
Love that
A Sir who has been knighted by Queen Elizabeth for sure! He has his MBE just like the Beatles! 😆
@@user-gn9vu7wn7tHis a heritage knight, the real deal not a one off like the Beatles, way better behaved.😂
@@secretwatcher9922 I think he might be a Sir as in he's a Baronet, the lowest hereditary title.
Holy cow, he really is a unicorn, barely even reacted to the dryer! Ive had the honor of helping to train and desensitize a young Caucasian Shepard and it's not easy! His owners have put some good work into him.
It'll never stop being satisfying seeing such a well behaved and well trained dog. It takes a lot of effort, but it gives the dog the best chance to have a good life that isn't full of fear/aggression.
Came here to say this. Hats off to the owners, they have done a phenomenal job with him.
I've always said you get out of your dog what you put into them! His owners deserve a big gold star!
Had to laugh - it was snowing dog fur while you used the blower to dry him - a veritable blizzard 🤣😂🤣
He's an amazing good tempered beast. When being dried he wanted to know if there was an escape clause in the contract.🤣
My uncle owned a Caucasian shepherd. The dog died the day my uncle passed away. Loyalty beyond comprehension
So sorry for your loss.🥺🥰
Wow that is amazing his dog was so devoted. Sorry for your loss.
Hey tell little bit more about their friendship!
thats beautiful :( i hope they are together again
@@kittensruleforever That's blasphemy.
I grew up with Ovcharkas, they really are gentle giants with people they know, but they are ferocious guard dogs. This baby boy is an adorable floofy lad. ❤
yess when i was a kid mine would let me do anything i wanted but if stranger went through gate to my house he could do some serious damage, once you introduced someone to him and he knew its a friendly he was chill
We had a Brazilian mastiff that was the same way. That he wasn't socialized well by his first owners didn't help. On walks, he was a beautifully behaved and polite guy, but on our property, we always had to be very particular about how we introduced him to anyone new.
He slipped and fell on the ice on our back patio one day and badly injured his hips/back. He couldn't get up to walk so my mom and I had to carry/limp him back inside. It had to have hurt him, but he didn't growl once. Unfortunately, at his size and age and with his pre existing back end issues, we had to put him to sleep. He wasn't an easy/low maintenance dog, but he was a very good boy.
They're wonderful dogs, if my health was better I'd love to adopt one ❤
I need to stick with smaller dogs, or at least dogs who don't outweigh me! 😅

Yeah.... I have to remind myself.. they (dogs) don't REALLY unserstand what we are saying......right?

@@feliciam2953 lol .... they're great dogs & are very independent, brilliant guards ....Sneak a puppy in & he's sure to fall in love with it by the time it's the size of a small horse😇
Do they require a lot of training and exercise?
@@ca8944 As with any dog they need training & know the boundaries, Caucasians are very strong minded, wilful dogs so need training from an early age plus they need plenty of room to exercise as they're very large but are quite happy to lie about whilst keeping a watchful eye on their surroundings.
The fact that his owner cried speaks volumes about how Vanessa changes so many lives for the better. She is smart and gifted.

I’m not crying Nope 🥹
The owner does a fabulous job in maintaining his coat, and kudos for you encouraging other groomers to keep him so the owner doesn't have to drive too long. This dog is a literal living teddy bear
Usually they are more like grizzly than a teddy bear.
Demonstrates what love and proper training can do for "aggressive" dogs .
@@dorothybrown8859They don't behave the same when they are not on their territory. Our Caucasian is very docile and easy going when out for the walk, however it can be very aggressive towards strangers back home.
They are independent and smart breed and they do not require a lot of attention from the owner, hover it can be very protective of its surroundings. I wouldn't recommend this breed if you are looking for a play mate (they will not fetch you any balls anyway), however they are excellent guard dogs. We went for Caucasian because we had a break-in, and since we have this dog, junkies somehow lost interest in our property 😂
@@bojned
Why she was very careful at the start. Owners and her have proven what’s possible.
Other groomers aren’t turning him away because they want to, but most of us don’t have walk in showers or lax grooming regulations like her. All tubs at my salon are lifted meaning if he wouldn’t go up the stairs, I couldn’t do it. Also, unless you work for yourself like her, it is against safety regulations at most salons to do a dog on the ground untethered like that. Meaning he can only go to a groomer who works for themselves and has a step in tub. A lot of which are pretty old people and can’t handle dogs this size anyways so they also have to be on the younger side.
Sometimes she says some weird stuff, but what I think she meant by “encouraging them” is to get this specific kind of groomer to reach out.
Wow! The temperament is crazy. Shout out to the owners for raising such an incredible beast!
If my boy has any social media I would love to follow
I have always said it depends on how a dog is raised! I had a Rottweiler and now a Cane Corso and people are terrified. But they are the sweetest pups. Raised properly and socialized well, they become well established and used to love and affection
You are so right. I've had Rottweilers. They are such sweet babies. Pits also. They are super sweet babies. It upsets me when people who talk crap about either breed, especially when they act like Chihuahuas are little angels like they've never met dogs before in life. If anyone has ever met a naughty pit, Rottweiler, or pinscher, it's the owner you really need to avoid like the plague for being a bad human being.
@@Meggzilla Animals have temperaments and attitudes that can manifest regardless of training, my sister owns 2 puppies from the same litter, they're being raised together and both have vastly different personalities. One is terrified of everything and jumpy at home but very good on walks, the other is good at home but a menace when he sees strangers and barks at everything that moves when on a walk.
You hear stories all the time of pits and other supposedly dangerous dogs that have been an angel and well behaved throughout their life until they snapped one day. They were bred to be aggressive and no amount of good vibes is gonna change the fact that they are many times more likely to unpredictably snap than mellower breeds. It's about how willing you are to play the lottery with them, but most people don't want to end up as victims of your gambling on good vibes.
Kudos to his owners. He was super well behaved. He even seemed to almost enjoy the blow dryer.
I have to imagine that getting all that undercoat out and blowing the fur around feels really nice, especially when it's heavily matted or compacted.
Yeah it looked like the blow drying was his favorite part.
He looked like he was thinking about climbing the wall when she started soaping him though
I thought he looked at times unconcerned about the hair flying, to slightly interested in this event of "fur showers"
BTW, he looked awesome after the groom! Superb job in managing him, and grooming him!
Kudos to the owners on his temperament perhaps, but he is obscenely overweight and no home grooming has taken place, which is pretty lame.
This elephant had no fear. Fear seems to underlie a lot of bad behavior in dogs. It’s obvious that his owner has worked intensively with him to socialize and train. He’s also really intelligent. Your constant nattering is probably really helpful, because he’s hearing praise and calm even tho none of what you’re doing makes any sense to him. But it doesn’t hurt, you’re kind, and he hears "good boy" a lot, so he’s willing to go along with the process. 😊
The patter really helps IMO. They know you're not their momma but you're clearly somebody's momma. I swear they know the soul of everyone they meet.
@@katiekane5247what’s patter and natter?
Patter and natter is talking to and praising the dog while he is being groomed.
That’s true. A lot of dogs attack because they are fearful. This dog is completely fearless so had nothing to worry about.
@Phantom-bh5ru
Am a dog trainer, canine behaviorist and abuse case foster. Id hazard 90% of "aggressive" behavior comes from one of two things 1) fear 2) humans not understanding a dogs avoidance or "i really dont like this" signals.
I have two old english sheepdogs, which were originally merely Ovcharka's mixed with the bearded collie, but then overtime after many generations of breeding, they changed sufficiently enough that they became their own breed. That is a long way of saying that this video was interresting to me!
"He doesnt seem to have the typical temperment of a caucasian sheppherd"
Thats the beauty of good socialisation as a puppy. My neo mastiff was the best party dog - getting pats from each guest and sitting on their feet so they wouldnt leave without doing so. He LOVED tradesmen, and would run out the front door by a metre (never further because that would be rude and naughty) and flop all 65kg of him on the ground in protest so these nice strangers wouldnt leave. He was a nightmare with dogs... in that he had no idea of his size and loved to try playing with the smallest of puppies. He adored the vets looking after him during his final months battling cancer, and he is very missed.
I really liked his energy of "Well, if I'm going to be stuck here I will tolerate it, but I also refuse to actively cooperate."
Which, honestly, for an animal of that size, that might just be for the best.
Essentially trying to groom a big furry rock.
"I guess this is what you are doing today. Not we, YOU."

Sure there can be some kind of storm in the Ural-mountains ....but they do not exactly carry any sort of fame for storms. That mountain range isn't specially high either ....hence does not create big weather stuff. Don't know why Ural-mountains came to your mind since that type of dog does not come from there ...and also Ural-mountains are hardly not populated at all ...hence no dogs. It is in it's name ....it come from the Caucasus mountains which are 2-3 times higher in elevation (Mt. Elbrus 5642 meter / 18510 feet ...highest in Europe ) and are located over 2000 km away from closest part of Ural. The Caucasus region has plenty of people and do a lot of sheep herding in that extremely mountainous region....hence there are need for sheperd dogs. I've seen them in action in that very region ....right under Mt. Kazbek (5042 meter) in Georgia and in Sevan district in Armenia.
Believe me, I had a dog like that- your head fits into their mouth, easily.
Lol sometimes I have trouble with perspective and can’t tell actual size. When I saw her actual face next to the dog’s I was like “GAH DAMN, THAT REALLY IS A BIG BOI!”
@Dan-fo9dk I don't know why I was thinking of the Ural Mountains other than it's closer to Europe and southern Asia where some of the warmer summer breezes come up over the mountain from the Atlantic Ocean and turn to snow or moderate rainfall...Blow driers get a little "warm" in terms of the air that come off them and blow a lot of "wet" around...so I guess I was thinking a warm wet summer storm more than anything else.
More like the Caucasus Mountains

Outstanding job. She is a remarkable groomer & such a gentle voice. She really takes charge & works thorough but fast to earn the dog’s trust. ❤❤❤
Beautiful job grooming this gorgeous boy. The dogs seem to know that you're so patient and gentle with them.
I own two of them. 215 lbs and 223 lbs. Abbott and Costello. I just put them in another room when I have company. Big fluffly puppies for me, but absolute tanks. I groom my own too.
Holly crap dude props to you
Awesome ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.
ABBOTT & COSTELLO!!! what a perfect pair name 😄
I also have 2 and mine are absolutely lovely but would definitely not allow strangers touch them on their territory although seem ok when we go to the vet (he allows us to come after hours when there are no other dogs). Living in a very remote area close to the forest feels great having them guarding the house
Bud & Lou to fit on the bowls? My dad had an 8mm excerpt from, I believe, Buck Privates. The scene where Lou tries to get onto his upper bunk bed 😂
Dog doesn't need a bandana, good boy needs a tablecloth! Amazing transformation
He needs a bib!
@@mazmellem2773 You mean a bib the size of a tablecloth. 🙃
@@GeorgeTheBrownsFan 😂
@@mazmellem2773 I was just going to say that 😂
How could people dislike these beautiful and blissful videos with these majestic doggos? If you're unsatisfied with these videos and could dislike it, I'm sure you're not likable by others of your true nature. Keep up the good work! Absolutely feel good and amazing videos
I just love the way you constantly talk to him, & praise him🤩💖
It would have taken me all my strength not to lie down on the floor next to this floofer and cuddle him for rest of the appointment. He looks phenomenal after the groom! What a gentle , confident, marvelous creature - a hulking testament to his owner's love and care.
Right? Totally a "Oh we have two extra hours? Cool, I'm just gonna uh, take a nap on top of this floofy doggo"
@@KingdomFantasy669poor Vanessa will be spending the next three hours clear up all the floof from the entire shop, it’s every where !!!
@@KingdomFantasy669 Yes! I imagine Dodge wouldn't even notice if you laid your head on him for a moment and definitely looks like a cuddly beast :D
@@jeffhughes6167 I imagine it's worth it:D
Ikr, what a wonderful floofy dog! 🥰
In winter I wouldn't even need my heated blanket, just sleep next to this cozy floofer! 😴
Even my cat was impressed. She watched the drying part with interest. Maybe she wants one now
@uliwehner I've had a harder time WASHING my cat!
It beautiful boy. Thank you for taking such loving care.
I’ve been just like rolling through her videos today and of all the videos I’ve watched, he’s THE biggest and THE MOST well-behaved dog I’ve seen her groom. It’s shocking but also VERY cool
It was cool to watch his anxiety fade and he trusted her. He wasn't happy, but he was a patient and best boy.
"he doesn't mind strangers in the house as long as he gets pets" a perfect description of our family firend's newfounlander. As soon as our 6month old showed him interest he was all sold for her. This dog raised three kids of that friend so he was familiar with smol humans and greatly appreciated pat pats and laughter of our daughter when he sniffed her.
I lost count of how many times I have watched him. Just cant get enough of this beautiful dog!
You really have some interesting dogs. That's so nice that you help out with the rescues. I wish there were more people like you. ❤
Nice job.🐩
With ovcharkas, it very much depends on the line you get. Show line ovcharkas are much more placid and on the larger side, whereas working line are much more ferocious and on the smaller end
I think that is true on a lot of breeds.
Definitely! Even a working line Lab can be too much dog for most people
@wheresmycheese8511
My dad hunts in marshlands for birds and has always had a female working line black lab as a hunting partner. Its gotten to the point of where they are almost a different breed from the show lines. They are built differently, generally more slender, a bit smaller, smarter and have drive to retrieve for days.
Outside of hunting season, he spends an hour or 2 a day having her retrieve tennis balls or do nosework to find retrieving dummies. Such is her drive to retrieve things, she needs to run and retrieve every single day. I would say having a working dog is generally "too much dog" for the average person unless it is going to perform the task it is meant to perform.
Dude was SO chill. Also, I love how he sounds like an old locomotive. Just giant old chungus living his best life❤
Any idea why they breathe so fast and also not over their nose?
@@sensei470one reason digs pant is to regulate body temperature. He is a very large and very hairy dog after all.
Loved the message of giving every dog a chance despite the breed. Wish more people were that smart and kind.
Beautiful animal - inside and out! His owners have done an amazing job socializing him! And you are awesome!
I just love how he’s essentially a corrupt official: should be guarding his territory but is easily bribable! 😂 What a sweet boy, and what an amazing job you’ve done. Easy to see why the owner drove 2 hours to meet you!
Senior soviet apparatchik, I imagine.
I've met several corrupted guard dogs, one pair of white jindos and another time a golden retriever who would suck up the petting and attention until one day their owners came out of the house and they'd jump back and emit a few barks to make it look like they weren't slacking. Of the 2 jindos, when almost getting busted, one looked up at the sky like he didn't see me and the other proceeded to bark at the ground near me, from the approaching owner, it would look as if he was barking at me but from my angle, he was clearly barking at a stepping stone, I give that last dog credit for smart thinking in a pinch!
My 11 years old Caucasian died two days ago. She was the most beautiful, well-behaved, just overall nice and sweet girl. No one belived that such a big and scary looking dog can be so charming and so calm. Watching you groom this big boy brings me memories of my sweet Yasya. Such a lovely breed❤
I'm so very sorry for your loss. 😢❤😢
So sorry for your loss. She's watching you now and wagging her tail to let you know she's OK -- and she wants you to be OK too.
My nana's yard neighbor recently brought a Caucasian Ovcharka home, and OMFG, HE'S SUCH A GOOD BOOOOOOY!!!😢😢😢😢 He is so sweet and jumpy!! I love dogs, man, I love them so much!!
Sending you a hug. I’m so sorry…
So, so very sorry about your loss. I really understand. 😢
Well, this is lucky 13 for me watching him. Definitely my favorite of all your videos. Don’t ever take it down, I would cry. Just love him, he is so perfect!
OMG!
Just had to comment. Our long history of Golden Retrievers was over 7 years ago and I somehow stumbled upon your channel.
Our largest was Phoebe, a mere 42 pound giant and setting aside a whole Saturday afternoon every month became a tiresome chore. What you have done here is absolutely phenomenal.
We decided not to have dogs anymore because after our last dog Tina, a Jack Russel, I just couldn’t take the heart wrenching pain of losing them. Our family loves dogs but I just can’t take it anymore.
You’re absolutely amazing. I’ve never seen a dog groomer who was as in-tune and knowledgeable. It warms my heart knowing folks like you are out there!!
I think one reason he kept calm was that he understood he was in the presence of a fluff witch and these are just weird things that one must accept for clean fluff 😅
@@johannasildam3835a fluff witch 😂😂😂 that's a fun mental picture
I love your conversations with the animals. We can see that this is more than a job. This is a passion. You tell the pups they smell gross, then apologize to them ❤️
pretty sure the animals are like "oh, this animal talks to me, no need to activate murder stance"
I love this video. Because of your cuteness and his hugeness, I chuckled all the way through. You're awesome!
Such a well behaved dog …. You treat the dogs so well !!
Blessings to you ❣️💕❤️
I've had one of those fluffy bears... passive resisistance like "i'm just gonna sit here no matter how hard you're going to push me, try me honey" is just their thing, at least from my experience. Bite, growl? Never. But when she REALLY didn't like something she just didn't cooperate AT ALL. She was like "try to do what you want if you have to, but don't count on me on this! I'm officially turning into a mountain unless you change your mind and leave me alone". And since she was huge... well...
We called her a tank.
I think your personality & temperament put him at ease. If I were his owner, I'd drive 2 hours everytime to have you groom him. Such a positive grooming experience for him 🎉🎉
I would too!!! In a heartbeat!
It's so satisfying seeing the work you put into the grooming. Another excellent job! 👌. He looks fabulous! 😍
I've watched this several times and am always amazed at the size of his paws! The furnado is so satisfying and his sweet nature makes me adore him!
That is truly the biggest dog I've ever seen. Kudos to you for a successful groom. The largest dog we had was an Akita/Lab mix, and he was only 110 pounds. But much like this fellow, he didn't have an aggressive bone in his body. Because he grew up with cats, he took to laying on the back of the couch, and was happy to have kittens use him for a jungle gym. It's been nearly twenty years and I miss him still.
Totally agree
I had an Akita Lab mix as well. At least, mom was Akita ( pure bred, papers carrying show dog ), dad was a volunteer that I assume was a black lab. He was a sweet pup. One of his brothers was NOT a sweet pup. So, either I did a better job of raising mine, or there's a genetic roll of the dice as well.
This was such a sweet story
Thank you for sharing it 🥹
$200 at least
Wow, are you kidding me? The dog didn't even react to having his nails clipped? I have yet to have a dog that doesn't hate that. Man, I fell in love with this dog. What a beautiful animal. I've had mostly huge dogs throughout my life and this one is really special. Choosing a dog based on temperament and not looks is really key. Some dogs have really high energy and if you choose that dog, it is on YOU to keep up with that energy. If you want a dog that works will a sedentary life, choose the one that is NOT running up to you right away. Choose the one that is chilling.
Yes! Many so called bad dogs are just dogs with owners that don't have the same energy level as the dog or don't work off that energy. You have to put in the time, work, and commitment to your dog and their energy levels . An old sedentary couple in the same dog training class as me have the most hyper dog I've seen in a long time. A ton of barking and non-stop wiggle butt is how the dog is the whole time during the session. Only settled down when given a puzzle treat. The dog doesn't get walked a lot of days. 😮 That dog needs like a 2-3 hour run every day to get some energy drained. Choose a lower energy level dog than yourself or the same, at most.
@gametime2473 wonderful comment this 👍
Thank you! 😄@@KathleenFarrell-vv2kv
Had to watch this again! What a gorgeous, well-behaved dog!! You did a magnificent job, as usual, Vanessa! Thank you.
Oh if I had the wear with all to own a beauty such as him. Bless all who can take on a gentle giant such as this boy. They deserve a great life . Thank you Girl with the dogs. You really have a heart of gold. ✌️❤️👏💯🐈⬛
This dog’s owner is AMAZING!! She trained him so well and kept his skin in amazing condition!
When would you have imagined that one of your best behaved clients in a while would be a Caucasian Shepherd? Truly amazing, Vanessa!
It's those Poms and Chihuahuas that you ought to be wary of :)
What a sweet dog ❤. What a transformation. You have a gift!
