i had a black lab named joe, he lived to be 20, the day he died, he put his head on my lap, looked at me and said his goodbyes, went to his favorite spot and passed away. that was over 20 years ago. and I still cry.
I don't remember the man who said this, it is still something that any pet owner can agree with. "When I die I want to go to where the dogs are." (or which ever pet that applies to you)
I lost my corgi of 15 years recently. He waited until the day after I left home for something and died on my bed. I desperately wish I could have been with him, but it’s comforting to know he wanted to be in my space during his last moments.
Man, seeing how fast they grow up in just 70 days is just a reminder of how short their lives are. They're truly one of the greatest gifts to mankind. I wish they could live longer. Life flies by in the blink of an eye.
@@FreeThinker85sorry but your superstition have nothing in common with dogs. They are the result of evolution and selective breeding, not miraculous dude in the clouds lol

The other sad thing is how many dogs are euthanized every year, perfectly beautiful, healthy, good, loving dogs. I wish people would learn about what they are doing when they allow their pets to indiscriminately breed. You don't know what you don't know. The AKC has free information on breeding. People seem to be oblivious as to why they shouldn't be back yard breeders.
At 72 yrs old, I’ve seen quite a bit of what this world has to offer. Been quite a while since I’ve witnessed one individuals take on something so pure and real. I’ve had pups before but never 9 at one time. Great experience for the younguns to boot ! Well done !
My lab recently had to go, I held his head in my hand as he fell asleep. When he was 8 weeks old I promised him to take care of and make a decision for him when he‘s not able to live up to a good quality of life anymore. He became 12 years old and made me a better human being. Dogs are wonderful and the purest form of love I‘ve ever experienced.
My yellow lab just turned 4. Still lots of energy but he’s starting to gray around his muzzle and we found out he’s got a heart murmur. I never had a dog before so it’s been awesome learning to have a dog with my fiancé who grew up w dogs. I definitely would like another lab whenever we finally get a house and a big backyard.
My labs still living at 15! It’s a shock as they usually get problems but she still acts like she’s a pup it’s weird, she’s got an ear infection but we got that under control but it’s sad knowing she won’t be around much longer :(
Whoever did the editing on this documentary along with the filming, is missing their calling and should definitely do bigger projects. Absolutely beautiful.
I bet that has to be one of those days you get a tear in the eye. Sun shining, yard full of kids and animals, grass green, family all around. Time slows and you reflect on everything it took to get there. I almost lost that trail after I left the military. But I'm back on it and my moment is coming soon. Great work, stay free.
Life can be beautiful sometimes cant it? Thank you sir...I had forgotten that. But you reminded me. I need to go look for the beauty now instead of focusing on all the darkness.
About 1 year ago my black lab that I had my whole life passed away. He was my best friend. Every night he would hop on my bed(no matter how big he was) and cuddle up next to me. I miss him still to this day. Love ya Rex. Thank you for making this video. Wonderfully done
I can’t imagine how tough it must be to watch all of them slowly leave, even though you know they’re going to make other families super happy. Loved this video!
Honestly - as someone who raised 9 Labrador puppies, whilst it was a little bit sad seeing them leave, it was mostly a MASSIVE relief. Those 10 weeks were hell.
I wouldn't be sad seeing them go to good homes. He's got Bailey and he got to witness a remarkable time in the puppies lives. Keeping all of those dogs would be way too chaotic.
i lost my pet of 14 years, and i am still crying. I miss her everyday, and once in a while I wake up to go directly to her bed. She passed in my arms and took a kind gentle part of me with her.
@@trashytriniti I mean that most dogs have been bred to human likabillities such as being way less agressive than their wolf counterpart. This dog that he takes cares of is also familliar of him and knows that he is not a threat to her or her pups.
@@thegarry7542 You can do the same thing with other wild animal species, sure it's usually a little dicier but not impossible. Birds are an example of this, and to an extent cats are too since they "domesticated" themselves.
I lost my 7-year-old golden retriever recently. I had had him since he was just a few months old and watching this video brought tears into my eyes. These adorable babies deserve all the love in the world and I wish them the best of lives in loving homes.
@@PratikAnand , yea I just ♥ "mom" cleaning her pups and then later when she takes the food can, "Oh just leme have the can Drew, I'll go put it in the recycling bin. A mother's work is never done..." ^_^ Oh and the one with their eyes open @5:10 still trying to "get the milk" as he/she kinda suckles the air, lol... And the one we see twice pushing away human hand and with those glorious eyes, "Thank you for loving us human, leme give you a kiss!" ^_^
Just... makes me happy all over. My friend used to have a lab named Bruiser, and he was the friendliest dog you'd ever meet that would give one hell of a pounce. He had sadly passed away about a year and a half ago, but he was always a family dog at heart that even bordered into my own life at a lot of needed times. Rest in peace, Bruiser.
Name seems deceiving. I am sorry for your loss, and I myself lost a dog I had for 7 years late last year. He had a immune disease that had only treatment, and I had to watch him slowly get tired, slow, breathing hard, until I decided to put him to sleep, because he didn’t have enough time left for it to matter.
Tom, we are ALL sorry for your loss. Here the girls lost their pup(I never bonded but he had an adorable face, and I cried right along with them, he was family, like a sibling to them and a distant cousin to me) and we all told ourselves no more dogs. We had an older adopted pup and said she would now be our only fur baby. She was visually saddened without her buddy. 4 months later we started a search. I had many dogs over my life time, a Blue Tick coonhound , a Scott Terrier, a Jack(2 actually, different times, 1 male broken coat/1 female wire), several Pits(from Wisconsin and Canadian Champion pulling stock, sweet babies), 2 Shelties(@ different times,1 male adopted, 1 female purchased, both lovely herder’s), more Great Danes than I can count(bred and shown to Champion and sold except for 2 that were my babies for life), and a Giant Schnauzer(shown to Champion and kept for life, family sweetie) and 3 Golden Retriever’s. Lots of planned pups and all loved and cared for like the family members they were. Placing them was sometimes very hard, people wanted them shown and pointed before they took(bought) them. That was rough as they took a piece of our hearts with them, some grew old and died, in their bed one night or one afternoon during their nap, taking a piece of our hearts to heaven with them. A few had litters, well planned and as the video only hinted, with lots of work. (Loved that you fed the pups and mom a top quality food-appeared to be Blue). Your video was a top quality one, showing the love and tenderness that went into the litter but not much of the work, effort, work, sweat, work, sadness at placement, and the re-bonding with the momma afterwards, as she needs you so much. FYI: we found a lovely little girl Golden that we plan to be our family pup, to love, to spoil, to share our lives with for as long as possible. Maybe in time, you will start a search(ours took 3 months), and find a new family member to share your life with as you grow older. Life is just better with a pup. No rush. If, when, you decide to extend the family, make an informed choice and find a litter that was loved, socialized, and well cared for as these pups were. We changed breeds along the way as kids wanted something different, or a friend from a show had a pup that we just fell in love with and we decided one day to have one too. And we even have a pup that adopted bus from the roadside, in February, by a frozen creek, and snow filled corn field. You never know where love will grab you heart. Again, so sorry for your loss.
I grew up with a black lab named Bailey and was a kid when she had her puppies. This video unlocked some real strong sense memories and made me cry like an absolute baby.
I purposefully put off watching this as I knew what would happen, a few minutes and I was crying. I just lost my baby, he was my friend for almost 13 years. He looks very much like your Bailey. ❤
Ronald, I lost my 8 year old springer, Beau, with pancreatic cancer, just after I lost my son , 2020 to COVID. My dog was getting me over my son. I’m waiting for a dog to come into our lives. I can’t go looking. I believe the right one will find us. Beautiful video. I didn’t cry, their innocence and developing mischief made me smile. You have a very good mommy dog in Bailey.
I've had more than a few dogs in my life from breed to breed but never had my own lab however, I can say with complete confidence that they are about the best, all around breed that has ever existed. Truly the perfect dog. If you have the room and want to get your first dog, labs are a great option. Besides potty training, they pretty much train themselves and are as loyal and loving as a dog can be. Just wonderful...
@@susanna8612 I think almost every person I've ever known that had a Lab had another dog. Well, another sibling rather. The last I knew were Lucy and Cocoa. They were sisters and the _best_ of friends. They weren't blood relatives but they were definitely kin. Cocoa was the chocolate, older, shorter chubbier of the two and Lucy was her big, black, dumb younger sister. I met them at a bar I worked at and they came in every day and got their cheese. They really do love loving. ❤️
@@eamonia Lucy and Coco sounds so cute :) Unfortunately not every Lab has another dog friends. My sister's black Lab girl who's name is also Lucy ;) has not many dog friends. At this point she dont even like another dogs that much but loves humans. Im her best friend and each time when she sees me she cannot control her joy and we play a lot. Im her fun aunty. My sister dont bring her to dog parks etc. Because she is jealous if any other dog gets people's attention 🥴but oh well, she loves all humans tho and is very social and loving toward people generally, she should have been more socialised with other dogs when she was puppy but there was none in the family.
I have pictures of my puppy when she was a week old. I visited her every 1,5 week till we could pick her up. When we took her home she was directly happy and calling it a home. She is now 11 months old
Awesome! Yes dogs settle in to new environments pretty quick. We often have people bring baileys puppies back to visit and they generally don’t seem to remember each other.
Now that’s the way to raise puppies-lots of room to explore and lots of socializing with kids, and making sure they end up in appropriate homes. Rather than those puppy mill breeders where puppies and breeder dogs sit in small kennels all day barely getting human attention. Thank you for doing it right!
We got a new boy last November from a kennel similar to this. He is outstanding! Our previous dog , who was beautiful on the outside, but ugly on the inside. We had to put him down after 4 years and numerous vicious bites to our family members, and some narrow misses. He was a good boy 99% of the time, but you just never knew when he would turn. Gave no pre-knowledge of what was coming. Both dogs are/were chocolate labs, but temperment was night and day.
@@crossfiyah674 he most definitely did it and probably got his dog spayed after lol. if he didn’t “do it right” then he wouldn’t even have gone as far as looking for very specific people for the puppies to go to.
As a former Black Lab owner of 11 years this whole video was an emotional journey. Especially at 12:20 when the puppies back legs kicked involuntarily while getting a belly rub, my boy Mojo used to do the same thing! You had to scratch a very specific point on his belly, we called it his motorcycle spot. Great job on everything.
The lab with white markings, so much like my Max, who crossed the rainbow bridge in my arms at 14. I carried his picture in my wallet since, today, it’s been 20 years and still bring tears to my eyes when I think of him.
@@username93159 True. But there still will be breeders, breeding dogs for what they’re intended for. I know of a few breeders that breed, hunting labs and hound dogs. They don’t sell unless it’s for what they’re bred and trained for. IMO if someone is gonna own a working dog breed, don’t own them unless you’re an active person.
It's amazing and sad how each pup will go on and live their own individual lives and have completely different experiences to their siblings. Our black lab Whiskey is 18 weeks this week, and he's grown so much. I can't help but wonder how all of his siblings are doing in this big world. I hope they're loving it as much as he seems to be. ❤️
So uplifting to watch. Thank you for sharing this wonderful time for Mom and the pups. I can still remember that beautiful new puppy smell. They will feed on your ear, chew on your finger. Such a good Mother.

I met one of my dogs when he was around 20 days old. I could almost smell the pups! I'm so happy they all have a new home, I hope they are loved there and have a healthy and long life! And the mother and father too, of course!

I have a black lab named Riley, and she’s twelve now. Even though it’s hard to walk around for her, she remains sweet and happy. She’s the best dog I’ve ever had. Also the first one.
I’ve had my pup (she’s a chocolate lab) for just over 2 years now. I swear it was only yesterday when I went to see her as a puppy and she sat down right in front of me for her picture. Once I took the picture, she came and gave me a hug. I knew she was the one for me when she did that. The connection was instant and I loved her so much from that moment on. The only thing I don’t like about her was how fast she grew up 😂. I swear I blinked and boom, she’s a chunky, loving and just the sweetest thing ever. I feel like a parent with her and she is my world, my baby. She’s helped me through my depression with the many things that happened in such a short period and I think she knows she saved me. Dogs are such amazing things.
15 years ago, my black lab had 7 pups, I was an eleven years old kid, and you're giving me princeless memories through this video. Thanks dude, this is probably the most beautiful video I've seen this year. We definitely don't deserve dogs ♥
It is the bond we share with dogs for the better part of around 40.000 years or so. Scientist say that our lifes would be drastically different if we didn't have our faithful companion, the dog.
I had a black lab named Buford and he lived to be 19 years old.... He was the best dog I've ever had, he was my best friend and my forever comforter as a child and teenager growing up.... We both showed each other unconditional love and it was beautiful...

I feel you, one of my dogs is getting ill, we whent to the vet and She said I should prepare to say goodbye soon. This video made me cry. Dogs are so wholesome, I feel that giving them the best life you can is the best you can do, but that does not take the pain away does it? I wish you the best.
After losing my Labrador after having 15 beautiful years with him, seeing this is amazing, because it's like watching his life from the beginning again.
5 months ago I adopted my very first puppy. He's a German shepherd Labrador mix. My boy has taught me to be patient be gentle and have fun in life truly I do love my pup with all my heart and can't wait to celebrate his 1st birthday in 3 months
Look I love dogs as much as any animal lover, but puppies smelled awful and their puppy breath is fucking gross. I love dogs let me make sure I preface that. I like cats too. However puppies and kittens and the like don't have a good smell. So I don' t understand this gross ass obsession with "puppy breath" or "baby smell" of any kind. Y'all are gross.🤮🤮
It's videos like this that remind me even years later how much I miss my old girl. Thoroughly entertaining all the way through, couldn't keep the smile off my face and the tears out of my eyes. Hope the pups and mom all have great, happy lives ahead of them!

This just reminded me of my life growing up on the farm when life was so simple and wonderful. At one point we had five female dogs that were all pregnant at the same time and they all delivered in a span of a week and we had a total of 53 puppies!! So imagine seeing all this work 5 times! I miss my Lucy, we loved her from 10 weeks old until she passed away at almost 14. She loved her belly round, leg used to go like a motor. Splashing in puddles, swimming in rivers; rolling and eating snow.
The first time our black lab experienced snow was the funniest, cutest thing. She loved it! Her face was covered in snow from sniffing it, trying to figure out what it was.
I had a Border Collie Black Lab mix who was the most incredible dog in my families history. We have all loved every dog we have had over the last 50 years, but when my kids and I get together ( with all our currents dogs of course), Miss Molly is routinely referred to as the undisputed holder of Champion Best Dog Ever: she’s been gone almost 20 years now, but we still all celebrate her life.
I love this vid for two reasons. One, it's so wholesome. And two, most people leave their dogs in the cold uncomfortable cage. But you have made them a comfy place.
This needs to go viral! This is a video the world could use to see in the trying times we find ourselves in these days! Absolutely heartwarming and incredibly done!!!!
I love labs! The second I bought my house I rescued a black lab named Dorian. I’ve had 5 total over the years and my chocolate and red fox lab are sleeping next to me now. They bring so much love and happiness to me and my wife every single day ❤
The couple who live in the house behind my back fence (suburban neighborhood, chain link fences) have a beautiful chocolate Labrador Retriever. She’s about 6 months old an is still very puppyish, energetic, and out of control enthusiastic for contact whenever I get a chance to greet her. Not that her owners ignore or neglect her, she loves attention and thrives on it. The whole back half of her body swings back and forth when she wags her tail! I feel bad when I’m going somewhere and she sees me and I don’t have time to give her a few minutes of attention and a few back scratches over the fence. 🙁
Great video, to see the mum & the pups grow in a loving environment is heartwarming. Hopefully the pups have all gone to good families who will treasure them.😊
Thank you so much for letting us see those beautiful babies. I had a chocolate lab named Lady, the love of my life. You never get over a lab no matter how many years pass. I've never seen a dog that has such a soulful look in their eyes, yet the heart of a child. They are and will always be my favorite breed of dog.
Few things else puts such a big a smile on my face and a warmth in my heart as does a video like this one. Puppies, puppies, PUPPIES! I needed to experience this, this morning, especially. Thank you, and merry Christmas.

You are definitely not too old! My grandma (in the 70ties) still has one very big and energetic dog and another smaller one. She can manage easily and had a horse half a year ago that I got. :) If you want a dog get one! They bring so much joy!

This video made me weep in joyous remembrance of the few pups I have had from birth to death in my life. I love all my pups, and most of them have been rescue pups, though there is something extra special about watching a pup being born, growing, and then being with you for their entire life. I will always love and miss my girls Chaka and Lady, that both lived to be 15 and a half, and both taking their last breath in my arms at home in 1991 and 2005, before going to the Rainbow Bridge.......Peace! 🎼❤☮

My labs still living at 15! It’s a shock as they usually get problems but she still acts like she’s a pup it’s weird, she’s got an ear infection but we got that under control but it’s sad knowing she won’t be around much longer :(

Honestly - as someone who raised 9 Labrador puppies, whilst it was a little bit sad seeing them leave, it was mostly a MASSIVE relief.
Those 10 weeks were hell.
Damn them pups live in the fast lane. Humans take 20+ years just to leave their parents
I have a female cat who has kittens a lot, seeing the kittens grow up and slowly leave one by one hurts each time
I wouldn't be sad seeing them go to good homes. He's got Bailey and he got to witness a remarkable time in the puppies lives. Keeping all of those dogs would be way too chaotic.

@@OdeInWessex Thank you. The house is pretty empty these days. We will find another some day.
Sorry for your loss Tom. A dog is truly a best friend, a side kick, and a companion that will be there for you until their last day.
Sorry for your loss
I grew up with a black lab named Bailey and was a kid when she had her puppies. This video unlocked some real strong sense memories and made me cry like an absolute baby.

I agree. Labs are the best. They are so playfull and loving. But they have lots of energy and should allways get enough exercise and playmates.
@@MG-pj2oo I like the way you think. 👍

Unfortunately not every Lab has another dog friends.

He should have had his dog spayed, he isn't a dog breeder. He didn't do it right, he shouldn't have been doing it at all.
@@crossfiyah674 he most definitely did it and probably got his dog spayed after lol. if he didn’t “do it right” then he wouldn’t even have gone as far as looking for very specific people for the puppies to go to.

Meanwhile, I get teary eyed thinking about the momma pup. Old dogs deserve the most love & affection. She did such a good job with her pups!!
I had a Border Collie Black Lab mix who was the most incredible dog in my families history.
God bless people like you who love dogs. More people like you in this world, the better

Glad you enjoyed it. Merry Christmas to you as well 🎅🏼
Merry Christmas ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful moment. For 17 years I was a forever home for my black Lab Sydney, I adopted her from a shelter, she was the size of your little ones in your video when I brought her to our home. 🥰 I still love her and miss her so very much. A short time ago I adopted another black lab from a shelter his name is Ozzy, I am great full to be his forever home as well. 💝🥳💝 How lucky am I...........😊
Wow, 17 years! You sure are lucky. I have a 13-year-old and every day I'm grateful to still have her.
@@robincrowflies my mom had a black lab it lived 23 years 😊
@@zuggett My mouth is hanging open. Here's to longevity!
17 years?! And we thought we had an ancient lab when our chocolate lab made it to 15.
My children tell me I am too old for a big dog anymore (I am 63). I would love the puppy with all the white on the belly and the fu man chu under the bottom lip! Beautiful! Precious! Thank you for sharing these amazing bundles of love! This is a 3 hanky for me. God Bless y'all and just watch your children grow just as fast...
You are definitely not too old! My grandma (in the 70ties) still has one very big and energetic dog and another smaller one. She can manage easily and had a horse half a year ago that I got. :) If you want a dog get one! They bring so much joy!
you can never be too old for anything, get you a fluffy pal :)
Well, they are wrong. You can definitely manage a dog if you're up to it. 😊
My father is the same age as you and he owns an English springer spaniel. He takes her on 2-3 walks a day. Never tell yourself you're too old to own a dog. Just get a breed that suits your lifestyle
Not too old! Agree with wvrthy on getting the right one to match your lifestyle. Dog will keep you moving, and offer you constant company.
Maka , my black labrador is 14 , same cheerfull and jumpy. As before .
Who sad that his / her love lived 20 y
MADE MY DAY !
BECAUSE EVERY DAY WITH THEM IS JOY LAUGH AND LOVE !
Oh my god! What a great mom. I love their little squeaks and grunts. They are too precious.
Hello Kay how's the weather over there
Hello Kay how's the weather over there
We always had black labs. Wonderful dogs. Loved this video, thank you. Brought a tear to my eye.
Thanks for watching!
I remember the day picking up every one of our lab puppies over the last 20 years.
Morgan, Sam, Drake, and Bodie.
Loved them all like you can't believe!
Bodie only one still with us, added 2 rescue dogs to our family (Lucy and Riggs), both mutts.
Folks love those dogs... they don't live long enough.
Take em huntin, swimmin, messin around..it's what mother nature designed them for!!
Be a good mom Bailey!
"Folks love those dogs... they don't live long enough."
I don't know how many times I've said or thought that same thing!
I have a black lab and they are some of the best dogs you can have, so fun to watch these little guys grow!
Amazing!! The pups are so adorable and so innocent! I loved watching this !! Bailey is such a excellent Mommy!! Thanks for showing their stages! This video put a big smile on my face! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for watching! 🐶
@@DrewBuildsStuff 8:10 hey, do you think 2x4 will support the chicken wire for the puppy pin... what a waste of wood....
Drew, thanks so much for posting this . I have a 13 year old black lab named Bella and she is the light of my world. I have never witnessed the process that you have captured and it truly resonated with me. Brought me to tears , actually. Tears of pure joy and love for these precious creatures. Much love to you and yours. Blesses from Australia I hope these puppies find the owners that they deserve, who will treat them with undying love and respect. Thanks again mate, cheers!
The little grunts/sounds baby creature make (be it humans, cows, puppies, etc), there is no other more precious sound in the world
Thank you, I grew up with a black Labrador 😭 So beautiful. You've made me so happy 😊
What a beautiful heartfelt video. I hope and pray all the pups are doing well.
Thank you! A couple of them I haven’t heard from in a while but the rest are all doing great!!
I loved this, I just got a puppy back in May. But it always makes me a bit sad when they all go their separate ways 😔
I could never breed a dog, I'd just have 9 more dogs 🐕 😂 but seriously, beautiful video
Same tbh
Yeah I could never give away a puppy if I had it for that long 😂
I thought "Lab Puppies" meant they were grown in a lab, lmao 😭. But I love this video so much. I need to stop watching videos of dogs because it always reminds me of my sweet boy I lost only last year, but I'm glad to see these guys growing up and doing fine 🥺💕 Hope all the puppies love their new homes.
I thought that too lol but when I saw what it meant I enjoyed the vidoe
Same but then I just ignored that and watched the cute puppies
@RubXYZ what do you mean

Wow, i felt the holy spirit watching this video. The peace, love, and bliss is just so beautiful. Needed this.
So much love inside such small doggies! I hope they're all living happy lives to the fullest and bringing joy and love to their owners.
Only 3 survived.
Its beautiful when a doggo loves you,but its even more beautiful when the doggo lets you grab her puppies because she knows you wont hurt them or anything. Good job mama! :D
I don't know why i always had that with pups and their mommies. Even if the owners didnt ;) It's a trust think i suppose.
Thank you, Drew! I smiled through the whole video and I have tears in my eyes by the end. You filled my heart! I miss our black lab Maya and my white lab Cassie beyond measure. Thanks for sharing these precious dogs through this video and finding such lovely homes for them. God Bless! - Cathy Ohio
@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
