Cesar Milan does that but then again he uses outdated dominance theory & is always getting bitten. Deep bites that need stitches, not play bites , before anyone steps in with how great dominance theory is. Dominance theory is based on one 1930's study, of wolves, not dogs . Modern studies have consistently found praise & rewards based training to be more effective.

It was actually the husband who said he got the dogs for his kids and then he said it was his wife's responsibility - when she clearly does not want to be responsible for the care and exercise of dogs - especially large, rambunctious dogs. The husband is just as responsible as the wife. And then they have 2 dogs when they can't even control one! It's inexcusable not to be picking up after their dogs.

And Barbara’s motto ‘why would I do something that someone else can do’ and there you have it folks. The whole entire issue. Barbara does appear to have an interest in the female dog after she put the work in, the work leads to bonding.
I’m happy to see the kids are interested and love the dogs. The boys won’t let her just let the dog off leash and run back to the house. The kids lost respect for their mum then and why the boys say the dogs don’t listen to her and neither do they!! Barbara doesn’t seem to have any interest in the dogs. Like she wants to go buy a pure blood puppy who comes home and grows into a perfect pet without the work. It was great to see the kids come out to help clean up poo. Like they understand there are less glorious parts of living an animal, and they will do that too.
After Victoria’s visit you can see a huge difference in the way the dad is walking the dogs!!!

As an owner of a Doberman, the fact that they thought they could just "walk" these majestic working dogs for a bathroom break and back is heartbreaking (ok, it's also really frickin angering). They should count themselves LUCKY that the "only" thing those dogs (they are SO much stronger than they look) destroyed were 'things'.
A Doberman needs an outlet for their energy & intelligence, ours is always intense & needs ~1 hr minimum, 1.5-2 hrs is better walking, of which approx 60% of that is RUNNING daily. To be clear: It's usually off-leash running at scary speeds that no human can match, it's one of the most beautiful things to watch.

She is displaying weaponized incompetence. She doesn't WANT to interact with the dogs. She doesn't WANT The responsibility of cleaning up after them, or walking them, or even just to watch them while they go about the house while she's home all day. That was clear as day when she flatly refused to help clean up after their poop. She had a full mask off moment when she said 'why do it when you get someone else to do it'. Every time Victoria tries to teach her even the most basic tasks for teaching the dogs the woman "finds it difficult" to a hilariously terrible degree. At least part of her is hoping that if she does it bad enough Victoria will turn and make someone else do it. To be charitable, Weaponized inconfidence can be a mix of issues. It could be a pride issue and pure manipulation, but it can also have echoes of anxiety and a fear of failure. In this case I think it is both. I think she doesn't want to have to do anything, but also I think she is afraid of actually trying in fear of confirming her own incompetence to herself.

I am astonished at the absolute disgust and mistreatment these beautiful dogs lived in before Victoria. I own a Doberman myself (well my parents do) and he was trained by my dad since we got him. We’ve had three dobermans and they’ve all been trained by my dad. He has done some biting with my last one (beautiful beefy red-and-tan Euro without crop) but he trains them to stay by him in walking. I would’ve loved to have these two dogs as they seem like they could be a joy to have. I’m 14 and can easily walk Bear (current Doberman). All we use is a leash and collar. The female owner Barbara clearly has no interest in the dogs. Her kids do better then her for Christ’s sake! 😂

How do they not think ‘I need to clean up after the dogs’ for peace of mind to not bring any poop in the house at least, and have some pride in the garden when guests come over?! I know the soft, runny poops aren’t fun and my dad used to leave them a bit to harden up if they were particularly hot and stinky (my dog had a sensitive stomach in his later years), but it isn’t hard to go round with a garden trowel and a bag once a day, maybe hose the runny stuff away. It’s a basic five minute job! The only time it was a problem was when my dog as a puppy ate his poop - it’s quite a common problem and both the breeder and vet said the only fool proof way of stopping it was cleaning it up right away/catch him in the act. Plus you have to be on it with house training anyway, so it wasn’t so much of an issue cleaning up straight away

People need to do their research before getting a dog, especially when getting specific breeds. Dobermans are high energy. When ANY dog dosen't get the exercise, enrichment, and bonding they need, they will develop negative behavioral habits. One of my biggest peeves is people getting dogs, not fulfilling their needs, not training them, and expecting the perfect family dog. Training is an everyday thing, not just when they're puppies or when you feel like it or when they develop issues.

For anyone reading this: I know that dog training can be difficult sometimes, but you're doing great. Keep up the good work, and your dog (and your own sanity) will thank you for it! ❤️💕

Ridiculous! Wrong family for the dogs - mother should not be near any dogs.

@@firenze5555 it's not a competition. The father isn't doing a good job too. He had to be told his faeces infested yard was a hygiene risk for his family. Point is, the mother can just about handle her own kids - boy twins are a tough act, so fair dues. Doberman dogs are a bridge too far for her.

@@jadecoolness101 nope, 'family' means everyone, and husband is included in my comments. Don't be so sensitive, the family put themselves out there and facts speak for themselves. Get over it, I did 2 mins after watching it - shelters are filled with failed stories.

Their behavior was repulsive and childish

Agree. But when we bought our home in England in 1984 we found a lot of dog poo in the back garden from the previous owner 's collie Shep. We just cleared it up and buried it in one corner. We basically let the soil bugs deal with it. Now I have problems with other people's cats using my garden as a toilet😠

Surely the bairns can pick up the jobbies? So pleased my mum loved dogs and was great with them. She taught me so much. I can't believe the mum here was going to just leave the dog in public! Her kid have far more sense and empathy than her.

These are beautiful, amazing dogs. In my humble opinion, as those dogs have access to a large back yard, they should be played with, chasing a ball or frisbee, and made to drain off some excess energy before being taken for a short walk up the road. They would be much easier to control once they are a bit tired and be able to deal with seeing all those new things in their environment without the pulling and excitement. Those dogs need to run, I don't think they are getting enough exercise.

They’re definitely not getting enough exercise! Working dogs like those guys need hours of off leash running every day. Even that backyard isn’t enough they should be going on hikes and to parks. I honestly don’t know why these guys got dogs like this!
