Okay Will, here's the scoop and this is what I've figured out. You're a man that's very detailed with your work and you have a lot of pride in your work. You're also talented to be able to explain in detail every step of what you're doing which makes you a great teacher. Also, I appreciate you for taking time out of your busy schedule to show the world your talents where others can learn from you. Thank you Will for all of your contributions as I'm sure everyone else feels the same.
The thing I like the best about this video is that you go over the torque specs and socket sizes for everything, including the lug nuts. As long as everything shows up today, I should be attempting this tomorrow.
Omg!! I am showing my husband this!! He doesn't believe we can do this, but after watching the video, Game on!
9 times out of 10 your customers come back because you are good teacher and mechanic.
Saved me 600$ from Firestone...people like you are blessings to hands on engineers thanks man greatly appreciated
Thank you so much for making this video! Your instructions and tips were so helpful. I was able to replace my brake pads and rotors with the help of this video and everything is working perfectly!! No more pulsing and squeaking!!! I feel so much for comfortable in my car now that the brakes are riding smooth. Keep up the good work :)
I have a 2010 Dodge Avenger and this is the first video I've watched where I did feel completely loss. Very informative and good video. Thanks!
I agree, very helpful and having this as a step by step tutorial makes everything 10 times easier. Thank you!
This was EXTREMELY helpful, thanks. I was able to do the brakes on my wife's car in just over a half hour, both sides.
Great videos Will! They just keep getting better, torque specs throughout, pumping the brake pedal reminder, why the pads wear at different rates and what to do about it, chocking the wheels to avoid a potential disaster, illustrating how to gain leverage with a "cheater wrench." Just a Great Job!! (We are running out of excuses, if we've watched your videos!)
Yes, that's what I like about this video that Will did. I noticed all the things that he was pointing out about uneven brake pad wear and why. The small things that he mentioned such as chocking the wheels that a beginner may not know. Pretty damn good video, I must say!
Real informative and helpful. Once I saw this video I was convinced that I can fix my brakes. And saved me a good amount of $$. Thanks for your easily understandable vid.
Great job on the video! Thanks to you I can hopefully get closer to fixing this stuff on my own.
Great video thanks for posting cant wait to get started on my 2010 avenger rotor/break replacement project
Great new video. Just did the brakes on my Girl's '08 Jeep Wrangler. More or less the same set up, but they were original pads and rotors. So nice to work on new(er) stuff eh? I cracked up when you said BFH. Very informative, I liked that you gave all the torque specs.
Now this is a how to video.. Hands down Extremely helpful and step by step. about to do my Sons car. thank you
This will be very helpful when I change mine this week. Great instructions!
Extremely helpful and knowledgeable! Thank you!
What a great video! I am going to try to do my brakes for the first time! I really liked how you stressed safety, makes me feel very confident with trying this :)
I love the extra little tips he puts in there
GREAT video! Very clear instructions. Thanks!
Excellent demo. Seems like you covered all the bases. You had me going with the BFH. I envisioned some kind of special puller called a BFH. Even after I saw the sledge.... Took a little while for the acronym to settle in. Big F.... Hammer. Okay well glad you keep the demo clean.
Another happy Viewer man. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and talents.
Great video Will, must check my own once the spring gets here!
Thank you sir. the compliments are greatly appreciated
Hi Will, your an excellent teacher a really good clear video.
Thanks for sharing.
Donald.
Thank you sir. i was wondering who would be the first to catch that lol, that's exactly what it stands for, thank you for the feedback
Thank you, wish i could as well, times are pretty tight right now, had to focus on getting some jobs out, hope you guys understand

Great and helpful video!
Thanks for the video. Very good detail.
Hello, thank you sir. for the kind words and feedback its greatly appreciated
Thank you, gentleman. Very well=done video.
I really like your videos. The only thing is that I wish you could post more frequently!
Thank you for the compliment and feedback its greatly appreciated, yea so many times in other videos I say torque to specs lol without showing the specs, this should be a little more helpful, along with the other tips as well thanks again
Good job Will
Great video!!
thanks for passing through
I was wondering if you have a tune up video for that same car model. I did my brake jobs off from your video and it was a success!!! I just want to say thanks for your thorough step by step video.
Thank you man, i appreciate the compliment
Hell yeah, Great vid, Brother.
Thank you, the newer the better in most cases i agree, lol that BFH. is one of my most used tools aka. the "persuader" thanks again
Do you use that same brake and caliper grease on the sliders? I've been using silicone paste, mainly because that's what Ericthecarguy uses. But on the can there is no mention of properties at the kind of high temperatures you see in a brake caliper....
Thank you for the compliment
Great Job
Good you mentioning about the reservoir too. As a diy'er you make a mess once...
then you learn.
Thank you, sometimes brake fluid will come out of the reservoir when opened therefore i always close when pumping
CRC has been pretty good so far i use it often and have found it holds up well between services, im not promoting it at all just my experience, im not partial from one to the other as long as it holds up im good with it, notice how caked and dried out the grease was when i pulled it apart, not good, when this one comes around again im sure it will be free and look like we just applied it, its made for these condition and is fumed silica based, used on the complete job,
I CAN CHANGE MY BREAKS NOW THANK YOU
Donna Gladback you mean your brakes
Please, wear a mask. Brake dust can be harmful, as well as other fumes from brake cleaner. What I do is to use a regular electric fan from the house, put it inside a cardboard box, open a hole in the back of the cardboard box, and connect a cheap 6-inch round home A/C flexible duct. The fan basically extracts the fumes, and helps me with breathing uncontaminated air.
Thank you sir.
Hello, silicone paste is fine, not partial i use it as well, brake and caliper grease as shown is designed just for this, as long as it can withstand the heat and rubber safe, im good with it lol, i tend to stick with what works for me with no worries of a comeback,
Hey Will, almost forgot to ask you this question. In the old days which is where I'm from, everything was using brake lube as you've shown. Nowadays, I hear more about lubing the caliber pins with silicone paste. Even some of the new calipers comes with silicone paste on them. What's your thoughts about this type of lube for the pins. Thanks Will!
Thank you
thank you good job
do you have a video for this same car on changing the wheel bearing? I have the same car. I'm changing mine but the bearing is pressed on. Its tough to remove.
good job
I'm hearing a scraping noise after I changed the brakes and rotors. I forgot to lube the slide pins. Is that gonna cause the scraping noise or is it the caliper freezing up?
hi, if i see un even wear on brake shoes on rear drum style, what would be the cause, pls
Where on the frame are you jacking it? Where that circular thing is bolted?
Hey great vid thanks. Does it matter if you pump the brakes with brake resevoir cap on or off?
when you do this you don't have to take off break fluid cap up top when compressing break caliper piston in? And no bleeding the breaks after? just making sure before i do this. I was taught way different yrs ago on older cars.... Thanks for making the video also.
What size rotor was that?
Love to know what point you are using to jack up the front, manufacturer says that is NOT recommended. The caliper bolts are 14mm, caliper bracket bolts are 18mm. Caliper bolt torque is 32 ft. lbs. Caliper bracket is 80 ft. lbs.
Ceramic or semi metallic pads?
I have a 1998 dodge avenger I can't get it to stop over heating I have changed the thermostat an water pump flushed out the radiator what is wrong with it
That upper pin was stuck af on my mom's car. Note to self buy a dam brush...went thru almost a whole can of brake trying to clean out one of the holes.
video as you change the rear engine support
I have a 2009 Dodge Avenger and my wiper, turn signal and my lights are not working help please
What socket size did you use to remove the bolts on the rotor?
He used 18mm
lol yea from time to time i still underestimate
Man I feel kinda sad...we all Avenger owners have these cars full of dirt and rust XD, let's put them in top shape shall we....
now I see why mechanics charge an arm and a leg.. I'm tuff; but I need a professional with the proper tools for this kinda stuff... I have a 2008 D.A.. and recently making noise; took it to a mechanice; he looked at it .. my rotors are new and he said the pads are fairly new (I just bought it last month form a dealer) they didn't mention this to me.. and he said new stuff will make some noise it will either go away or live with it.. I just don't wanna crash lol
Bottom calipers pin is stuck...HELP
How can I help you?
Can you elaborate a little more maybe there’s something I can help you with
i paint all with high temp black
good job
Wish i could help you out, im in the market for one as well, doing some research, checking out reviews and what not, most likely fluorescent or LED no more hot bulbs burning me lol i will let you know if i find one i like, do the same if you don't mind

Wrong! It was necessary to lubricate the guide bolts of the caliper!Otherwise, soon they will sour.
Now show me how to fix my spun bearing and oil issues....
Awesome. Shit, I commented twice. lolol
Your lug nut torque spec is incorrect; it should be 110 lb/ft...
Where did you look it up? I use Mitchell usually right on OEM. Some after markets will give an average 80-110 I go with what I trust
Thank you for the compliment
Thank you
Thank you
