Gave up on my generic ball joint press for this car! Threw the whole thing on my work bench, got my cutoff tool and strarted grinding some metal off it around the rim. Then hosed it down with pb blaster, took a hammer and after a few minutes of therapeutic violence...it shot off onto the floor. Then...to get it on. Cleaned out the hole, greased it and the new ball joint seated with the cup and hammer only. Went on pretty smooth. Had to disconnect so much to do control arms and ball joints I now feel like I'm Chrysler-certified for front end repair🤣
Great video! Much love from Cen Valley CA!! My 2011 3.6L Avenger jerks side to side when on the grooved freeway roads, and I'm looking to replace my ball joints Much appreciated!! Liked and saved 😇👍
I did the sway bar links for my CRV and only used the impact driver even though is supposed to be done wrench + allen key, I'll try it with the Avenger also, great video.
Thanks for the vid. It was my guide to changing my own. Went like clockwork, but didn't seem to need to touch the stabizer bar link. Have you replaced the subframe? That's next on my list of things to do.
Have a Sebring, they don't want to budge. Car did come from a bigger city that uses a lot of salt in the winter. Might need steering knuckles that aren't so rusted. Back to the junk yard I guess. Damn..lol
My daughter just bought a '08 Avenger (her first car), and she's got a bad ball joint that I'll take care of for her. Great video! Extremely helpful!
Very nice!!
I'll be doing this same job on my dodge journey tomorrow, your guidance will be very helpful. Thanks for the vid!
Right on man!
@@FixingWithPassion same for me!!! Thx Nathan!! Hi from France
Put the balljoints in the freezer.. When ur ready to put them in just heat up the hole with a torch, cold balljoint will press in by hand.
Nice!

I have not one in a while. Good job.
After you put the ball joints in do you have to get a front end alignment after you put all back together
I never did. Had no issues with tire wear.
@@FixingWithPassion thank you my tires wear out on the Inside Edge
@@michaellanman4440 how old are you front springs? Sounds like they may be the culprit of your tire wear.
How did you know they were bad what are the symptoms
Why did you take the sway bar link loose?

You can remove the ball joint on vehicle and no need to remove the knuckle.
If you have the right tools....

Good work, but I believe that it is necessary at the very beginning of the work to loosen the hub nut before dismantling the wheel.
from my knowledge there is no hub nut, just 5 lugs
That was easy! :-D
Thanks for the video, very informational.
;D
Why are you using non impact sockets with an impact?
because I can
@@FixingWithPassion Hahahahaha , awesome , same reason I use screwdrivers for pry bars 🙂
