@David-bh1rn uhm what are you talking about they did it together? I'd say it's that Ian stayed that made him an embarrassment but also a hero but only because it turned out okay 😂
I'm a teacher. I taught 5th grade one year... I had a girl come to me crying because she, no joke, thought she was dying because she was "bleeding down there." She'd gotten her first monthly friend... and she had no clue what it was! A few days later I saw her mom at the school and said hi. TLDR, mom basically told me she didn't bother filling her daughter in because she'd "just figure it out." It really is so sad how uneducated people have become and how nonchalant parents are toward their children's hormonal changes
This reminds me of the movie Carrie. How sad and what a terrifying thing to go through at 10 years old. You must be a good teacher for her to come to you. Her mom’s attitude is insane and cruel to me. Not sure why anyone would think that’s a good idea. My own mom never talked to me directly but at least she gave me a heads up by giving me that one American Girl book about puberty. Also not sure when this was, but I’m a little surprised she had never heard of a period before though. Even for me at a religious private school in Texas in the early 2000s, I feel like it wasn’t a taboo thing for girls to talk about it around that age, I’d see girls with tampons/pads in the locker room or bathroom, and just heard about periods from TV and other media in general. Maybe she was a little sheltered though with a mom like that.
Ex...excuse me?! Can you repeat that? I think I had something crazy happening when I read that, or surely it must've been a typo. Surely... People having kids but not wanting to take the time to teach them basic bodily functions because the talk might be "uncomfortable" or whatever is WILD, and negligent.
I think saying OP willingly partook in the "event" isn't fair and puts more blame on him than it should. When someone doesn't fight back in the middle of being sexually assaulted, it doesn't mean they secretly wanted it, ESPECIALLY if they're drunk. So why would this be any different?
In hindsight yeah he should've done things differently but we're not him in that situation. Honestly everyone else were the problems with zero communication
@@Mirrie08This is exactly what I was thinking. As someone who has been through traumatic situations like this, the fawn/freeze response can easily feel like the safest option.
I like they went from blaming op for not knowing what to do in a situation too then the next story saying you dont know what you dont know and saying sex ed needs to be taught.
While I agree, I did actually go and read the original Reddit post and the comments from OP do **not** make him look very good or very innocent. He straight up said it was a “wait a minute this is interesting, let me watch” kind of thing. He also made it very clear that he knew his girlfriend would be upset by it, so he’s just never going to tell her. Also the level of detail in which he recounted the story, the way he talked in the comments, and the actually reason why he stayed tells me he was sober enough to know what he was doing. Unfortunately, based on his post history, I’m pretty sure they’re still together. Not that long ago he made a post asking for advice about their sex life… which, well, frankly OP seems like an asshole. Edit to add: there’s actually a comment on the post talking about how OP went on another post where it was the reverse, a woman upset that her husband watched an orgy instead of leaving the room, and argued with the woman that she shouldn’t be upset because it’s not a big deal lol
Getting my PhD in genetics. Yes it is possible for an AB parent to have an O child but it is EXCEEDINGLY rare and goes far beyond these Punnett squares you learn in a basic introductory genetics course. We’d have to get into more complex genetic phenomena like chimerism or a relatively recently discovered Cis-AB gene (both A and B on one allele rather than having an A allele and and B allele). But it’s far more likely that something else happened. They could’ve gotten the wrong baby from the hospital. It’s scary how often I hear about that. Could’ve been a sperm donor too like Courtney suggested. She also could’ve sadly cheated. There’s a lot of reasons something like this could’ve happened and we just don’t know
I’m O- and my parents are both A+ but we did ancestry tests to learn about of familial heritage and I know for a fact they are my parents. Is my case rare? I have a brother but we don’t know his blood type.
For the “turn gay” story, I’m honestly surprised no one brought up the possibility that the gal has been harboring a crush on him for a while now (post-rejection) and is too shy to make a move, so her finding out that he’s married to a man and him leading her to believe he’s gay rather than bi might’ve made her think she never had and could never have a chance with him. Like, she said “I hear marriage is rough,” in response to seeing his wedding ring which is honestly a very weird comment imo. It felt like she was hoping he’d agree that things are rough and she could then create a hope/fantasy that one day he’d leave his wife and make a move on her again. She might have convinced herself into believing _he_ was still carrying a torch for _her_ because he still frequents that store and still chats with her.
I didn't catch on that! It's hard to make a judgement either way, because OP admittedly doesn't know Barnes and Noble enough. My impression was she probably liked him as well at some point but wasn't confident enough to act on it.
That’s possible, but she didn’t get upset seeing the ring. She got upset after she heard he had a husband. And to me, her saying, “he?” is very telling. She sounds super sheltered and truly believes she turned him and to her that’s bad thing. It is WILD to me to say, “He?”
I agree, but I'd take an additional point. It wasn't just that he was married .... Speaking as a gay man myself. That said, he was Bi before coming to the full conclusion he is gay. Not saying OP is gay ... but from her perspective not knowing he was bi but just thinking he's gay First, there are people who really do believe being gay is caused by something happening to you. It sounds like she is an extremely shy person. And, she just learned for a brief moment if she overcame her anxiety ... she could have had a relationship with this man that was on the desperation. That after her, he went on to seek guys. That it would have been a guaranteed relationship. Also ... knowing that a lot of people coming out is hard. In her head, she could have saved from all that turmoil. The crying at night hoping you were straight ... especially if that what he was going for when he asked her out. TLDR: She is sad that she lost out on a crush that, in her mind, sounds like it could have been a for sure thing. Also hurting her crush so badly that he became gay thinking of all the heartbreaking thoughts he had to go through to "change" his sexuality after failing with women
I tried twice to get blood drawn but my veins are hard to find. As a result, I don't know my bloodtype. I'd love to donate blood but the search for the vein hurts man. Shout out to all blood donors
just to add to the pool of people already saying this, why are we blaming a drunk guy for not consenting to a group of people having sex with each other in front of him in a common room? and why are we saying that his girlfriend should break up with him over that?
Also he was WASTED. He said he didn’t feel safe to drive home, so he should go walk around somewhere he doesn’t live? Like the whole “ew” factor makes me mad, because it’s be his fault this happened. He even stayed out of it. That’s crazy to blame him because he didn’t join them.
I had a genetics teacher that said every year in her class she had at least one person find out that they were either adopted or not biologically related to their father
When my friend was in med school, one of his professors said that most years he had at least one student find out they were intersex when they did genetic testing on themselves.
48:07 i'm sorry, but no, it's 100% on the couple who comes into the room to ask for privacy. Saying that it's on the guy who was already in the room and stayed is just plain stupid.
@@Lovelybug777 right? When they started talking like it was the guy who was already in the room who was being inconsiderate, i was honestly just baffled.
I think they both (and me) were operating with the assumption that it's clear that the people having sex are clearly in the wrong and more weird, but that it's still weird to stay. Not wrong or more weird, but more in an "uhm... why on earth would you wanna stay?" way. I might be wrong though
@@hernameispekka_Rebecca this was the attitude I took away from that segment too. If even the cast wasn't thinking like that though, I don't think they'd shy away from being wrong either.
I was under the impression that Courtney was frustrated more at the lack of discussion all around, either family guy watcher or the hooking up couple leaving the room, and that instead all three people in that comment were just deeply uncomfortable because nobody had a discussion about who leaves before anything intimate happened. Like don’t get me wrong, the couple just initiating with someone in the room and continuing despite being uncomfortable by a third person’s presence is deeply weird! But you also can’t get anywhere if you don’t ask to begin with. If family guy watcher really wants to stay, okay couple goes to find another room. Couple really can’t find another room, okay family guy watcher can leave for a bit. But you HAVE to ask, so you don’t end up with all 3 of you being uncomfortable
Honestly the orgy guy got screwed over imo, I mean if a bunch of people started having sex in front of you they are in the wrong as far as im concerned. Id say he was sexually harassed as opposed to the other way around and im surprised they didn’t agree.
and honestly i feel that they didn't understand the fact that he was just as drunk as everyone else in the room so he may have had a difficult time even comprehending what was going on i've seen drunk people and every sense of common sense goes out of the window
Yeah but he knew he should not be there even if he was drunk af he could've texted his wife or go into the bathroom yk he didn't need to sit there with his phone in his hands and wait for them to finish
Same, it felt like they were attacking a guy who was probably traumatized by the whole thing. Imagine being so drunk you know it's not safe to drive then people start fucking. I mean when a kid walks in on their parents fucking no one says the kid probably wanted to watch or calls the kid a freak.
46:40 In the defence of this drunk guy - my sister was once so drunk, she and her friends came home from bar hopping and wanted to continue drinking - she had a bottle of very strong alcohol home but had no clean glasses so they drank out of a ladle. She was telling me that a few days later and I asked - "Why didn't you drink from the bottle?" She slapped herself in the forehead and just started laughing uncontrollably... Maybe he was that level of drunk too. Alcohol can really mess up your brain beyond anything people would care to admit.
Yeah, when court mentioned it was weird the guy didn't just leave I was like...bro he WAS their first though why is the problem not on the guy coming in unannounced to fuck in the room they planned on sharing 😭
Absolutely agree I can’t believe their take on it honestly.. also he was inebriated and couldn’t just leave in his car. I wouldn’t have stayed in the room but he certainly was not in the wrong
Yeah I agree. The one before the guy DEFINITELY should have left but the second one? Why are you bringing someone home and then just fucking them next to me? 😂 The fuck?! That's wildly rude and bizarre behaviour
tbf they were all drunk to the point of barely being coherant, and they checked in with the dude (asking him if he wanted to join) and he communicated nothing about being uncomfortable or wanting them to stop / move i’ve been THAT drunk before and had sex, someone else (also drunk) walked into the room and watched for a minute and i didn’t notice. apparently i was super loud (i barely remember the sex even happening lmao) my guess is that they were too drunk to remember he was even there, or thought he was asleep, since he was quiet and out of the way lying down. then they remembered and checked if he wanted to join in. i’ve had that happen to me too - everyone forgot i was there cuz i was so quiet and they were too drunk to be aware of their surroundings. when i got up, i surprised them, and was asked if i wanted in.
For the "TIFU orgy" story, I understand where Courtney is coming from, and I think they all made good point, but I can't believe no one brought up fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. OP was piss drunk, couldn't figure out how to get home, didn't feel safe walking around outside *piss drunk*, and were put in a deeply uncomfortable situation with their absolutely plastered friend group with little to no warning. I feel like it's presumptuous to assume that OP is just making excuses to retroactively explain away their actions, when there are a lot of other variables that went unacknowledged in this video. It's all well and good to reason out all the ways that situation could have gone differently with a) the benefit of hindsight, b) sober brains, and c) being removed from the social context that no doubt was more complicated than OP detailed, but come on. The freeze response is real yall, and being shitfaced does not improve one's ability to exit a weird scenario, let alone engage their parasympathetic nervous system
Totally agree and I'm glad OP didn't go out because I've watched enough true crime to know that really bad things can happen to drunk people alone on the streets .. even men.
THANK YOU I was wondering why they kept acting like YOU would be the asshole if people started having sex in front of you like what 😭😭 that would traumatize me fr, like I did Not ask to see that why are you expecting Me to be the one to leave
And also in such a wild situation sometimes you can freeze up a little bit and your rational thinking won't work right. And if they're all drunk chances are they were too. I was definitely a little mad that they made this person put to be some kind of voyeur creep that should be broken up woth immediately
I was thinking the whole time that yeah, he probably could have left? But I don't really think that staying definitely means he wanted to watch. If I was absolutely blasted, I also wouldn't be very keen on leaving to go outside and trusting myself to not get into trouble.
48:38 it’s crazy to me you can just claim an entire room that is a shared space by having unprompted sex no I don’t think it’s your responsibility if to leave if someone comes into a place you occupy and starts having sex they chose to forfeit that privacy against your will
agreed, and as mentioned from the beginning: they were all intensely drunk, OP says that was their fuck up- being too drunk to be able to safely leave. I think the perspectives were kind of unfairly prejudiced against OP and inserting some of their own projection.
@@nikistevenson1550 well because everyone has to be so passé about literally everything they would have acted like he was literally satan eating a baby for driving under the influence
@@nikistevenson1550meh don’t know what their living situation is. my hometown is a big ass sprawl so my friends and i can live like 30 mins - an hour away from each other. when we go out we plan which house to crash at for the day and then choose a place to go close to that house. An uber from one of my closest friends to my house would be $50 minimum. OP could also have work the next day and/or just not have time/money to do all that. Like I agree there were probably other solutions but like they also could have just not had sex in front of him.
the most consistent thing about reddit stories is that there’s always one story that they get so wrong that almost all the comments will be talking about just that. do y’all think the crew ever sits there and judges them silently for how they talk about some stories??
Regarding the Brunch Orgy story, I think the one key factor the three didn't take into account, is yes, if a situation is uncomfortable you would find a way out. Op had stated they were very drunk, and being under the influence you don't think in your right mind, and critical decision-making is not there when you are drunk. So he wouldn't have thought logically if OP was as drunk as he said he was
Sorry but no. If he remembers every detail he wasn't that drunk. And saying there no place to leave was bullshit. So they was in house with only one room ? Where that exist ?
Iveeb been in similar situations, and once while I was drunk and high I literally just sat in the corner because I was too paranoid to move. I definitely did not want to be there, but was stuck. Being just drunk isn't quite the same, but "freeze" is a very normal stress/fear response, particularly when your brain is not sober.
Yeah but then he had a phone if he was so uncomfortable he could've just called his girlfriend or anyone really to come pick him up. And i know they're drunk but if he can think about looking into his phone he could've thought about calling someone too
I've been in a situation where I was too drunk to have a fight or flight response and I just froze. I was almost assaulted because of it. I had to go to a SANE nurse because I passed out during the encounter and wasn't sure what happened to me. What op described during the orgy can definitely happen, and it isn't as simple as everyone's making it out to be here. This is disappointing.
I have semi sevier autism so i need help navigating situations most of the time, if i was in the orgy situation and there was no one left to help me i would just freeze up and not know what to do at all, the op could have been experiencing something similar, no way to know of course but thought id offer another perspective ❤
This was my first thought too. I think Smosh was coming at this from a more neurotypical angle, but in my head, I could see OP having autism or perhaps severe anxiety maybe and just getting frozen in that situation
@45:59 Have you ever been so petrified that you couldn't do anything other than stare. Like personally, staring is because I'm not in control of my reflexes. And I'll stiffen because of anxiety, but I'm not excusing his behavior. Other social anxieties pop up in my head like, "What if they shame me for not joining or leaving" ? Like his logic wasn't great logic
Me thinking, have you ever been so drunk you can’t make decisions. You know you are impaired, you don’t want to f up, so you just hunker down until your sober.
Ok....I have some shit to say about the unexpected orgy shit. I have been put in the position of being younger and naive, being invited to a party where everybody got way wasted, and plans changed from going to the beach to everyone fucking eachother when I didn't know that would happen. I believe the oc in that story. It may have been more than alcohol too. Maybe they took drugs before and didn't tell him. I still don't think he did anything wrong, if he's being honest in thinking he was just there for a trip to the pool, and everyone turned into something else because they were drunk and horny. I've seen it, and it does does happen when everyone is impaired
Agreed, the only thing that was weird is that he stayed in the room lol but he was drunk too, im sure in his sober mind he would’ve been like Ik this isn’t my house but there’s certain situations where it’s perfectly ok to just go chill in someone’s room lol ppl are being way too harsh, I doubt anyone came out of it feeling violated, it’s prolly just a bit awkward for awhile lol
@@notalithiumbarbiedoll3535my thing is he said he had his car there, he could've just sat in the backseat while sobering up. It was pretty obvious plans had changed and he wasn't comfortable with it.
@@LoonyHalfBloodI don’t think it’s weird at all to not want to go outside when you’re drunk. He was trying to keep himself where he knew he was safe. And he said he was going to the pool later, so it would have been daytime and hot in the car. I know someone who got drunk at a teen house party and decided to sleep it off in his car that was in the driveway. He got a DUI for sleeping drunk in a parked car with the key in the ignition, even though he got drunk at that house and never drove anywhere.
Yeah, honestly in a sober condition everyone knows what they'd do and think they know how they'd deal with it drunk, but we don't know how much they drank or how well they handle drinks. I think the problem is the outside perspective combined with live reading with a group giving no chance to reread it a few times to think about it and their experience in the fetish rabbit hole. As long as he's being honest I would just be happy he didn't jump into the sex pool though if he hides this from gf I'd have a problem.
42:36 I'm sorry, But why do you guys kind of blame him for staying. Sure. You know what you would do if you're sober. But the guy was very drunk and didn't want to drive home, risking his life. Also, if my friends just randomly started doing it, I would be very uncomfortable drunk or not. Especially if I couldn't leave, By the way, The people who are doing it should be going to a different room, not him. Especially since he never consented to this. Sure he could have wanted to watch, But think about it. I feel like Ian definitely was on the guy side, Not only did they make him uncomfortable. They also tried having him join in even though he has a girlfriend who isn't there. This take is very weird..
Also they suggested a very drunk person just go wander outside? Like, even if they were in a place where public drunkenness wasn't illegal, that's still a recipie for disaster.
Yeah they're take was weird. Have they never been to a party when they were younger. Stuff like that happened alot, not sex specifically, but uncomfortable pda
@@Moralgoyup him going outside could endanger himself and others, and opens him up to being arrested for being drunk in public, usually court ian and shane are smart but this was a bad take
Agreed. Though OP did mention there were other rooms but not usually for guests. If people start having sex, even drunk, I think I would wander off into one. But definitely no to leaving car behind or just wandering around.
i agree, i feel like the they forgot that people can freeze up when really uncomfortable. me personally, i probably wouldn't leave either out of pure discomfort and fear tbh
The orgy one I feel like y’all are massively exaggerating about the OPs part in the situation. While yes they may have forgotten to mention some stuff that it’s important and probably explains further why they acted how they did, it doesn’t mean you can just assume that they’re lying because they said they had no other options to get out of there and because some unfounded belief that they’re not trying hard enough.
If your sex is at all involving someone who's not consenting, then heads up, you should NOT be having sex. Not sure why that's hard to understand. Usually don't go out my way to say this, but just a genuinely bad take on the orgy story guys, c'mon y'all
Well, they do talk about it being nonconsensual and that the communication wasn’t there. I think they were just confused as to why OP didn’t walk outside.. which there can still be many reasons why they didn’t but yeah
I was actually shocked that Shayne said "these were just a bunch of drunk people doing drunk things" but I think it's partly bc Courtney was questioning OP for staying lol. And idk if anyone else noticed but reddit stories involving gray area s*xual shit w guys as the OP usually end up w OP being blamed/partially victim blamed for what happened lol. A good example of this is the story w the guy asking his friend who was a girl to stop opening the door to his room without knocking bc he sleeps naked/wants privacy and her continuously doing it until she was startled seeing him sleeping naked without a blanket. Ppl started accusing OP of being a "freak" or perverted bc he "wanted" her to see him naked.
@@islabee94While that may be true, how is that bs reasoning any different to ppl saying "You're strong, why didn't you fight back?" to men who get assaulted by women who are relatively smaller than them?
44:00 it’s easy to say what you would do completely sober this guy was super drunk if I’m not wrong, you don’t know what you’d do if you were really drunk
And if you have any level of social anxiety. I've never had a surprise orgy break out around me but I've def stayed in uncomfortable situations I probably should've dipped out of bc I was so uncomfortable I basically had a freeze response. Your brain is sitting there going, "Is it weirder if I go or weirder if I stay? If I get up and walk out rn, will they think I'm judging them? Will I seem like the lame friend of the group? Well, now I've been sitting here way too long... it's def going to be weird and call a ton of attention to myself if I get up now. Oh well, maybe it'll be over soon. I mean, we're still going to the pool, right? I'll just look at my phone so they don't think I'm creeping on them." Add any level of being drunk to that -- especially a level of drunkenness where a surprise orgy would break out -- and it's that much tougher to decide if/when to excuse yourself from the room.
I can't believe some of ya'll. I also can't imagine staying in the same room as someone with their hands in someone else's pants unless I physically can't stand up and leave. Nevermind the fact he had a gf and chose to sit there and watch. He could've stepped out, gone to a different room or gone for a walk.
@@NoThatRyan Not discrediting your personal choices or how you’d react, but it’s not really fair to judge the dude unless you’ve been in that situation, and even then. Good on you for being able to make decisive decisions in something like that, but the freeze response is a legitimate thing, we don’t know if that’s what OP went through. We do know that he was super drunk so clearly not thinking rationally. He explained his reasoning for not leaving; he didn’t wanna stumble around drunk, or go into someone else’s private space in the house, and he couldn’t drive. Now if he were sober he probably would’ve realized that either of the first two options were better, but I can understand how his thinking in the moment, especially adding the fact that he was probably thrown off by a surprise orgy. Additionally, at least from what OP said, he was trying not to watch them, hence going on his phone. He definitely should have left, but I’m also not gonna label him a weirdo and a bad person when, with all the info available, I can understand why he did what he did.
In regard to the orgy story I disagree, if I was in that sort of situation sober I’d probably put on my headphones, play something loud, curl up and cry. I have social anxiety and poor social skills, I can’t even imagine how bad it would be for me if I was also inebriated.
Orgy story: that is 10000% a situation my ex would have gotten himself into. He was a people pleaser to the extreme, and I could absolutely see him getting into a freeze response in this situation. If the story is true, that guy absolutely drove drunk going home. You just know he wasn't actually sober enough to drive.
i can see myself getting into a situation like that too. even sober, im just generally impressionable and super people pleasing. ive never even been drunk but i can assume i could be in a way more impressionable mindset.
43:00 I don't think he was watching, I think he was just very drunk and awkward and like he said thought it would be over soon so he didn't know what to do and just stayed there
Yeah they're talking a lot about the other people being drunk potentially being a problem but don't consider how OP being drunk might affect his actions?
Yeah I think they’re overlooking that he was not consenting to be part of this. They just started fucking in front of him. That’s totally inappropriate on his friends part. I think there’s a bit of a sexism here.
Imagine literally any other situation where people start sexually exposing themselves in front of somebody who's not into it and you respond "they probably liked it, they could have gotten away if they didn't want to be there"
Freeze and faun are also responses to situations, sane as fight and flight. I freeze/faun and tbh guys, love y'all but this felt a little victim blamey. A lot of us blame ourselves for not getting out of situations like SA.
I had a friend who told me about this young woman who came into the ER bc she had a rather bad smell down there. After the exam they ened up removing 26 tampons from inside her. She just continued to put new ones in bc the box said biodegradable, so she thought that meant she didn't have to remove them and that when they were "done" they would "just dissolve"! I truly do not know how she didn't get toxic shock!
I literally just had a full-body response to this, oh my god! My question is, how did she keep getting each successive tampon in there??? Didn't it feel taut or stretched or anything???? Yikes!
sure, this definitely actually happened 😂 If you're gonna make up stories for attention or because you're bored, you should probably make them more possible. Like something that isn't someone sticking more than an entire box of tampons inside themselves without questioning the discomfort once.
My thought was just “how long did they have to shut down that room after?” Because we have to just close an exam room for the day, move the air filter in and spray febreze, for one or two retained tampons. It STINKS.
About the orgy: maybe I'M a little freak for saying this, but if OP was so hammered that he didnt feel like he could be outside in that state and there was nowhere to go in that home (maybe a 1-room place?), where should he have gone? I know there's certain conditions I wouldnt feel like I could safely be away from a couch on my own lol.
I get that... however... there is usually at least a bathroom to lock yourself in... Plus he said he had his car parked nearby. I'm not gonna be too harsh on the guy, some people genuinely freeze, especially if drunk. But I feel like fleeing to the bathroom is a pretty normal reflex.

I stand on the side of the two dudes who just sat around during people having sex. XD Social awkwardness and drunkenness explain the dude just sitting and staring into space, but the hotel one especially - like, yeah, he was there first. If they wanted to have sex they could've asked for privacy or gone to her room or something. Why does he have to leave? He was comfy in bed. XD
Yeah, idk, maybe if you're socially inept sure. But read the room. Don't be some creep. "My partner isn't here to give me the okay" So...why are you staring at a bunch of people having sex. It's obviously a fake story, but still.
So fun story, I know someone who had this happen via 23 and me. He's older - which is important to contextualize the culture and stigma around not being able to conceive that HIS parents experienced. Long story short his parents had used a sperm donor. They found someone who looked similar to his dad and kept it under wraps, because not being able to have a kid, much less using a sperm donor, was a huge no-no at the time. He only learned last year, but finally connected with his bio brother. Both great guys, and a crazy experience to bond over. Nobody felt hurt or betrayed - just blown away. A more dramatic version: I work with genetic counselors in my field and it's not uncommon for two parents to incidentally find out they're related!
@@tokagefumei6656 I found out my bio dad is a sperm donor through this genetic testing just last year as well... Parents have kept it a secret from everyone, probably for the same reason. I confronted my mom only, don't plan on telling my dad that I know cause it's already heartbreaking when he had a rough time conceiving one child naturally. But, this story gives me hope about my blood type. My bio dad is O.
The orgy one, the guy really couldn't go outside if he was as drunk as he said he was. Just being outside drunk even just chilling you can get in trouble with the law for public intoxication.
Regarding the first story, IT IS POSSIBLE : it's called the bombay phenotype, it's caused by a genetic mutation. The guy probably is B but can't synthethise the substance needed to express that gene because his FUT1 gene isn't functioning. So it seems like his blood type is O (cause he can't produce the antigenes that "define" A and B types). This phenomenon is called epistasy.
This is actually crazy that a professor at university isn't aware of this, I learned about it in my first year of uni as a chemistry major. And they didn't even check...
Yeah! One of my aunts has the “wrong” blood type. All the siblings are O and she is a B. She found out when she was 50 years old and did a paternity test. It was not the mailman, her dad was her dad!
Hi ,, sorry but your explanation of Bombay blood group is wrong Actually Bombay blood group is the person has neither a , nor b and neither the h antigen ( h is the antigen which is present in all blood types even in o ) so this blood because it has all antibodies mimic o blood type, but when this person is transfused with blood o, there a occurs a fatal incompatible reaction, therefore the story cannot be explained by Bombay blood, however explanation given by smosh is still valid and can be possible
When he said he drugged the bartender I was expecting a crime, especially when he started taking about the statute of limitations. That wasn't a crime, the bartender hit it on purpose.
I agree although, personally, I don't believe that story actually happened. I mean it's one thing for OP to say they're a lightweight who can't hit a bong or vape or anything else without getting knocked on their ass, but in what reality is a bartender who's comfortable enough to say "Oh hell yeah" to an offer of a hit from a guest's pen while on the job also going to be affected so hard by a single puff that they collapse, barf, and immediately get so F'd up that they have to claw their way back up to a standing position? AND do so by putting their hand on a wine glass without noticing that it's not the table surface before pushing down? To me, this story sounds like someone's creative writing. Even more so, it sounds like the creative writing of someone who doesn't actually smoke bc, bro, the reactions in that story are just "Reefer Madness" levels of ludicrous. Either that or OP is accidentally buying something other than weed.
32:06 Courtney mentioned that emergency room visits are crazier during a full moon, but research shows there's no significant correlation between the two. It's a common myth that many believe, yet studies have repeatedly found no evidence to support it. Just wanted to correct that. :) Really like Watching you guys !
They should make a video where they look back at some of their previous reddit story episodes where the majority of commenters disagreed with their takes. They can then re-react to it to see if their opinions have changed. I doubt they'll do that cuz most fans prolly wouldn't like it but I think it would be an interesting mini psychology experiment to see how their responses to the post after having time to think differ from their immediate snap reactions.
I would love that. I know Shayne has mentioned that it's rough because often their opinion have changed even before the video has aired since they have had more time to re-read and digest the story a bit more.
13:28 as soon as op mentioned that she wasnt comfortable dating, this story made way more sense to me. As someone who doesnt date (aromantic), when someone asked me out i felt this pressure to say yes to not hurt their feelings, and when i did say no i had to remind myself that me saying no isnt actually hurting them, theyll be fine. If she felt similarly, the situation may have stepped on that type of feeling and then she might not have been thinking clearly enough in the moment to realize that it isnt real
Good point! It really seems as though, either way, she believed that she made him feel so bad he decided to "give up on dating women". This could easily make someone feel bad for rejecting someone, especially if they have a positive association to that person for being the first person who thought them attractive enough to ask them out. It's unfortunate when someone doesn't pick up on a joke. That or she could just be homophobic, as some people unfortunately are.
@beelzebabe8480 That was me and my husbands first thought, bc that comment was super weird. And smoshs take was kinda dumb And if she's not homophobic she's just naive to believe that.
Love Smosh and everyone in this video but did they really just go out of their way to empathize with someone who freaked out at a (mostly) harmless joke and then showed almost no empathy while also blaming a drunk person for being a part of a situation he never consented to? "If you really want to get out of a situation you can get out of a situation" "don't lie to yourself, buddy"... that's kind of f*** up 46:00
This is also how I felt about the story with the drunk guy. Like it’s so much harder to get out of uncomfortable situations like that then it seems, and also he was drunk.
I do get them having empathy for the girl who freaked out over a harmless joke. There could be more to that situation. It is weird to not have that same empathy with the dude who was so drunk. I can understand your brain not working as well and not thinking of go to the other room or call girlfriend. It was such an unexpected situation to happen. I think the combination of being drunk and not expecting this might’ve caused somewhat of a freeze response. I can kinda understand some thoughts and suspicions of is he trying to make excuses for why he stayed. With the whole thing of thinking that when your drunk it doesn’t change who you are at your core it more so exposes your inner thoughts and feelings sometimes. It could be more likely for you to act on those instead of holding back. But being so certain that’s the case is a bit weird. I can understand the suspicion but I can also understand why he might not have thought about other options.
Yeah I feel like they pretty frequently have weird takes but that is y people should think more for themselves like u did instead of blindly agreeing with how they think of situations!
I normally don’t disagree with you guys but I gotta somewhat disagree about the orgy story. He just with his friends and suddenly he’s in the middle of a drunken orgy while also being very drunk himself. This sounds like this was in an apartment or a small condo so there probably wasn’t a place to go besides the bedroom which a lot of people have been trained to not go into someone else’s bedroom. And it’s possible that this place was in the city or an area where there isn’t really a place to safely wait outside. Sure, he could’ve found a way to leave but I think that reflects more on him being drunk and nervous than him wanting to stay and watch.
For the orgy story I think it's weird that they are putting so much responsibility on OP but not enough on the people around him. How the hell is he supposed to react as a drunk person to these people doing all that out of nowhere? What do you even do? Also maybe he can't call his girlfriend to come get him because she works on weekends and she might work at one of those bullshit places that penalize you for leaving mid-shift. Also, just because he sat and watched doesn't mean he liked it, he specifically didn't want to watch.
he literally tried to distract himself by mindlessly using his phone. he was clearly uncomfortable, enough to the point of making a reddit post about it. it would have been framed differently or probably not even a post at all if he had a blast. he isn’t in denial about liking it. he was creeped out and is trying his best to get his feelings across. i think deep down he knows it was super disrespectful and downright gross for them to spring this on him but doesn’t fully realize the extent in which they violated him. obviously its a very unique situation to be put in and not really comparable to any precedent, but it is objectively unethical to me no matter how drunk your friends may be. mimosas dont make you incapable of considering your friends feelings, they are just inconsiderate friends who disregard the people around them. i would never be in a situation like this in the first place because im not a friend fucking weirdo, but if i was i would immediately clock his discomfort. like how could you not? maybe i’ve just been at way crazier magnitudes of fubar since i have an extensive history with various methods of getting shitfaced, but seriously, mimosas? mimosas made you have an orgy and cuck your friend? do people just not talk to each other before they do things anymore? im so confused on how people like this even exist in reality. maybe they dont. hopefully they dont.
If he was that uncomfortable he could have walked out. He even said he could have he just didn’t want to. He could have went outside and walked, even tho it was weird, it would not have been as weird and uncomfortable as staying in that situation. He had a girlfriend he knew would not have liked it, but still chose to stay even tho he was in there first.
@@aidenhesters9809 "if she wasn't into it, she would have said no and pushed him off of her, but she didn't, so that means she's into it" that's what you sound like, respectfully.
Also he was drunk. He probably just wasn’t in the right state of mind to think of calling his girlfriend. Who knows maybe he did stay bc he liked it. But being put in the situation is very uncomfortable and if you are not great in social situations and being very drunk, then it’s not impossible for him to end up staying and not having rational thinking in that situation.
The bystander effect extends beyond emergency situations. Sometimes people just freeze up and do nothing because they feel awkward or dont know how to respond. So the drunk guy going 'oh this is happening' and then just sitting there isnt so wild as far as human behavior goes
You guys' opinion on the orgy story upset me a great deal. I was in a situation pretty similar to that, much younger (16) and completely sober (never been drunk in my life), I was sharing a bed due to there being no other place to sleep in, and the couple next to me got frisky. You know what happened? I was *paralyzed* with embarrassment, shame and outrage that they would do that with me in their bed, and they were perfectly sober. But by y'all's logic, I'd be a pervert because I didn't leave and I secretly enjoyed it. The guy in the story was drunk, his self-awareness was commendable, yet you guys spoke as if he was sober and chose to stay there. Clearly none of you has ever been in a similar position, and I pray it never happens, because only then would you realize how heartless the things y'all said were. I love you guys, but for this, shame on you.
Honestly, I agree so much with this! I had luckily already read some of the comments so I knew a bad take was coming up which prepared me KIND OF. But even then, a lot of the things said really irked me a lot. Reading your comment (I’m so sorry that happened to you, by the way! That’s awful!), I remembered that something similar happened to me as well when I was 15. On a class trip, a guy snuck into the girls cottage and him and one of the girls started getting it on in the bed she shared with one of my friends. The rest of us were sleeping in beds and on the floor right next to it happening. Most of us were awake but very awkwardly tried to fall asleep while sounds from them could be heard. I remember it being really awkward, embarrassing and just… No! Sure… From an outside perspective (and I guess what they would have said, following whatever logic they had while reading the story) all of us could probably have went out and went to the teachers cottage or SOMETHING but I don’t think anyone wanted to be seen as “a narc” while I was just kinda anxiously frozen. I managed to fall asleep in the end but I couldn’t imagine experiencing this all while drunk and actually SEEING it, not just hearing it. I would probably freeze and be rendered useless. Not to mention the fact that OP was so drunk that I 100% can understand why he didn’t think about maybe texting his girlfriend or something, despite ending up scrolling his phone. When drunk and in shocking situations like this, your rational brain tends to shut off.
I agree :( It's surprisingly easy to freeze in those situations. One time (it's not as severe as the other stories here), I was on the train in my city sitting across from an older couple. The man was whispering to the woman, and I eventually could make out that he was saying inappropriate things and looping me into whatever fantasy he was describing to her. I was so shocked and embarrassed I couldn't move, and I was just trying to pretend it wasn't happening. I still feel embarrassed that I didn't move, because I think they could see my face getting red and knew that I knew, but I just couldn't. I'm not a "little freak," it happens.
@@kimmieclue8189 I know, right? It's basically a fight-or-flight-or-freeze response, and unfortunately my body chose to freeze, and I was so disgusted that I couldn't even bring myself to confront them about it, despite it happening more than once. Equating being physically unable to move to *choosing* to stay there is so vile, especially if you apply it to other contexts.
@@yomintdawg4246 You were unlucky enough to overhear. It's wild that those types of scumbags manage to make *the victims* feel ashamed, when it's they who should.
Bad take on the orgy thing. Y’all have never been so violently uncomfortable in a situation that you literally freeze and can’t do anything? 😂 ESPECIALLY drunk as hell.
My first time in Paris, I was in the bus with my phone in my coat’s pocket (big mistake in any major city, I was 16 I didn’t know) and I felt someone’s hand in my pocket. Turned out to find a man, hand in pocket (mine, not his) and we just kept eye contact for a solid 15 seconds, at least. No reaction from me, none from him until eventually he said “your phone was falling out so I was putting it back in your pocket” and my dumbass said thank you and we just rode the rest of the way in silence. Not that I was chatting it up with a pickpocketer before this but yk
Yeah like that story sounded like classic social anxiety to me. There was no easy way for him to remove himself from the situation and he was too anxious and too drunk to find another way out.
Naaa I'm with them. The excuses he was coming up with were ridiculous. "The way their house is set up" what so they don't have any bedrooms? No kitchen, no balcony? Just a living room? And he couldn't go outside because he was drunk? He couldn't get an Uber because he couldn't have possibly left his car at his friend's house overnight? Please. 😂 He wanted to watch but retroactively felt like a creep for watching and is trying to lie to himself that he was "forced" to watch. If he'd felt uncomfortable he would have mentioned that whilst describing his entire thought process.
If it were a matter of actual stress and anxiety that would have come up. He managed to remember exactly who was participating in which sex acts with whom and in which order. I'm pretty sure he'd have been able to remember if he'd felt genuinely overwhelmed with anxiety.
@@islabee94 Not really. I have anxiety ALOT and its hard for me to recognize "Hey I'm feeling anxious" when I go mute. I just know i don't like the situation and can't talk for some reason Looking back i connect the dots, but that's after years of therapy and stuff.
I agree…but in this one not so much. Yeah he was I. There first and it was messed up on his friends part, but he said himself he could have went outside and walked around but he didn’t want to bc it was weird… I guess a lot less weirder then the situation he got put into. He knew his gf wouldn’t be comfortable but stayed anyway.
@@aidenhesters9809 ok but that's exactly the mentality of someone who knows they SHOULD go outside but CAN"T get their body to actually move. During events like this -- especially while drunk -- our lizard brains override our logical brains to decide whether we either freeze, fight, or flee. He froze. He didn't make an intentional decision to stay.
The dude is hammered, didn't actually join in, and was probably in shock and y'all blame him more than the group of people deciding to have sex in front of him randomly? Yeah ok. The take on the dude in the hotel room was bad too. He's stubborn, but y'all immediately put all the blame on him for not communicating, but the couple literally didn't communicate either, so they're at fault as well. But they don't get any blame either. Love y'all, but those takes made my skin crawl a little bit.
The reason that so many people with periods and especially swimmers, don't find anything wrong with the way they use their tampon is a simple matter of environmental density. When you are on land, the blood is able to flow freely, because the blood is denser than air, and therefore pulled down by gravity. When you're in the water however, many people experience a drastic reduction of flow, or it paused entirely. This is because the water is around the same density as your blood, so although your uterine lining is still shedding, there is not much force pulling it out of the uterus. The only time you would notice the poor functioning would be the likely brief periods of time you spend outside of the water. So if you are swimming on your period, you don't have to worry about the water looking like a shark attack happened. Remember that menstruation is nothing to be ashamed of. Hope this helps!

This episode just proved to me that there are unfortunately still people that think that men can’t be sexually assaulted/harassed cause they “obviously must like it”. Like wtf guys, this take was so bad. I used to see you guys as a safe space, but now I’m rethinking that
I really hope they say something about it, it's really quite upsetting and I know a lot of us who are SA survivors of any gender have had the freeze response and been asked 'why didn't you just leave" saying "i don't know" If that person's response is "well you probably liked it"... that's just soul destroying.
I've been eating Rancho Gordo beans for years and I highly recommend the Buckeye Beans and the Scarlet Runner beans, and the French-Style Green Lentils (which are great for cooking and then baking for crispy salad/soup toppings)
So, a heavily drunk person is trapped in someone else's home, they start havig group sex right in his face, and HE IS THE ONE IN THE WRONG? HIS GIRLFRIEND SHOULD BREAK UP WITH HIM? WTF? I don't drink, but i think a drunk person should not be trusted to go outside alone or just wandering around someone else's home WHY IS HE GETTING BLAMED WHEN THESE PEOPLE DID SOMETHING VERY WRONG?
I mean, he wasn't trapped. I've been in situations where a couple starts fighting after a night out, or an emergency happens, and I'm too drunk to drive home. Just got out and went for a walk, browsed the internet in front of the house or called some people to get me and my car home. There's a few ways to handle these kinds of situations. If you have a gf and you're not drunk enough to still be able to realize you need her input, maybe step outside and give her a call? She would hopefully be sober and could potentially offer a solution too
His friends are gross, yes, but he is equally wrong for just sitting there and watching it happen. Like at the bare minimum go into another room or outside. Hes not trapped, he was free to leave at any time. There are plenty of people who Uber home and pick up their car the next day when they are sober. I was in a very similar situation and I locked myself in the bathroom with my weed playing DMX on blast until the moment got ruined 😂
Where in the blue hell are you people getting "trapped" from? He was NOT trapped. He could've gone to the proch, the bathroom, ANY other room. There's no chance in hell, unless I physically can't stand that I'm staying in that room.
Being a woman, all I could think was: switch OP’s gender in the orgy story and watch how wildly different their takes would have been 😒 “she could have gotten out of it if she wanted to, she’s just a lil freak” HUH???
Absolutely. It's such a prevalent thing that "Oh men always want sex" and like... no? Men can and often do get SAed too? And their claims he was making excuses sound a LOT like "Oh she was asking for it". BIG BIG ick there.
Everyone is saying it so I'll keep it breif, but making the drunk dude who was stuck in a room with a couple who had sex without checking with him sound like the creep in that story was a super weak take, I'm sorry.
You should be sorry, you clearly weren't listening. They offered to let him join. (are we pretending that's not "checking" in some form) Unless he was physically incapable of standing there was no reason not to at least go to the proch or something. I can't imagine a universe in which I stay in that room. Also, everyone was drunk and it was two couples and another guy.
100% agree. So glad other people think that it was a bad take. Like “you’re lying to yourself, you could have left, you wanted to watch!” was pretty icky. Sometimes you are so shocked you just freeze, especially if you’re super drunk. The lack of empathy with this one was disappointing. Could totally see myself being frozen like that
I have to agree with the Smosh guys partly. Everyone starting adult games sans OP without clueing him in that this something they typically do is one thing, but for OP to act as if calling his girlfriend to Uber over and driving him home away from the activities wasn't an option is also bizarre.
I can't believe I'm gonna defend the Orgy Guy here but I honestly think you guys were wayyy too harsh. It's very easy to say what you WOULD do, especially sober. You have no idea other than a vague drunken haze how it felt in the moment. If I was HAMMERED, and all my friends started having sex, I would be the person sitting awkwardly on the couch. You know why? Because my anxiety would be so strong that I would genuinely feel too uncomfortable to go into another room without asking, and wouldn't feel I could ask given the activities. And this is coming from someone who would get zero joy out of watching something like that. It would honestly freak me out. The way he told it made complete sense to me. If that happened to me, especially incredibly drunk, I think I would be too shocked to move. If that guys was my partner, I'd probably actually feel a bit concerned for him, for that reason. I sure as hell wouldn't break up with him over it. He sounds awkward, drunk and very confused, and probably quite anxious. It's easy to say "he was lying to himself, he's making excuses, he wanted to watch!" but honestly, that take makes me feel a bit icky. If he's being honest, and I'm gonna choose to believe he was seeing as how I could definitely imagine myself doing the same, I just feel bad for him. If I was the friends, I would feel mortified I put a friend in that position.
I kind of agree, I do feel like they are a bit harsh, but then again, we are all lacking major context Like wdym there are no other rooms to hide in, what is this, a one room house? You couldn't go into a hallway? Or just outside the door of the room? Though I kind of agree that they didn't mention or acknowledge that clearly rhat he's... well, drunk You don't exactly think clearly when you're drunk But then again, one has to consider the theory that your true thoughts are aired out when drunk, so when he chose to stay, there might've been at least a tiny part of him that wanted to watch That thing with calling the wife to uber then she can drive him home is smart, but you're not smart when drunk either I feel like this group just failed to consider a couple factors out of our context, but also they're not entirely wrong with their takes and they weren't TOO harsh
@@RavenousMillenial You could totally tell Ian was NOT having the same opinion. He started with, “I could see myself getting into this situation,” and when he picked up their vibe he just got quiet. I was so annoyed by their take on that story that I had to come to the comments and find someone who felt the same way as me, THANK YOU! idk why them saying “He could’ve leaved if he wanted to” made me feel really uneasy. you don’t know what to do- even sober I would be the exact way and freak out, feel HELLA uncomfortable, and just be on my phone. Idk, it feels like you can duck into a different room, I think it's interesting, valid, sure, but I can't relate to the idea of feeling uncomfortable removing myself from a situation I'm more uncomfortable with. You guys went too hard on the drunken orgy guy. You're giving your opinion as a sober 30 year old, meanwhile this guy's was wasted and probably in his early 20's. It's hard to know how you'll react to an awkward situation until you're in it, especially when you're young and drunk.
Yeah, never been in this situation. But I have been drunk, young, and naive and been in situations where I felt very embarrassed and awkward and should have just left a situation or party and didn't. When it catches you off guard and you have never been through it before you can make very stupid decisions. Then afterward be like, wtf why didn't I just leave or tell them to f off
Yeah, I know they like to try and read OP's intentions through the writing, but sometimes that perspective gets too presumptuous, especially with the internal biases we have about what kind of person OP "is". If the story were perhaps written from the point-of-view of one of the couples, the takes may well have been wildly different. Lines like "if you wanted to get out of the situation, you would" is thrown around in all types of contexts involving sex, where victim status is often questioned. I don't blame the guy either way; whether he had the sobriety to remove himself or just froze inside the room. Based on what we know, him not participating is all that needed to happen. Assuming that "he wanted" to stay and spectate is too slippery a slope to slide on without his own confession of such.
Guys, he was drunk. You said it yourself that he probably wasn't thinking logically. Like people can freeze when put in uncomfortable situations, should he have called or texted his girlfriend? Yes, but he wasn't thinking logically because he was drunk! Christ guys
Honestly the takes about the orgy story are pretty weird guys. Why was the first thought to say the guy was lying and enjoyed it. That's a pretty gross comment. He was drunk and likely panicked and froze.
In general I agree and I think it is good that you bring it up. I think the only thing that makes it seem like he may have not hated it was him saying he just "watched in awe". But then he maybe also meant more like a shock.
I do get to a certain extent on wondering why OP didn't find a way to leave the room when everyone was going at it, but I don't think he was being weirdly voyeuristic? I feel like there would have been some hints here and there in his wording in the post, but it sounds like he was still processing a weird, honestly traumatizing event to me again gotta keep in mind that the couples did it Without warning and OP was Drunk, so w/e logic he had was very much not there at the time and he could only sit there in utter confusion

Your take on people being confronted with others RANDOMLY having sex in the same room is straight up weird. WTF? Why should they leave? When you decide that you want to have sex, YOU need to take your environment into account. Why are y'all blaming the individual forced in an uncomfortable position?
It's not blaming, it's saying that a person who is uncomfortable should advocate for themselves. Either leave, or explain it to the people in the room that what they're doing is making you uncomfortable. Instead of just being uncomfortable and silent and watching was what he chose to do. Yes they were acting in the wrong, but he still had opportunities to not be in that situation. Someone should advocate for themselves is the argument they're making I believe
40:28 i think they all forgot the part pf the story where he was already sleeping in the room? Like they were acting like he walking into the room after the making out started or even with the friends. He also had just been woken up from a nap which like would already make his cognitive function a little wack for a bit (depending of what part of the sleep cycle he was in). I think that this is one of those times where once they have more time to think about it their opinion might change.

All the time students might find out their genetics don't match what they expect, or can be revealed to have autoimmune disorders, etc. due to testing on students. It quickly becomes an ethical issue so schools have moved away from that. Example patients are used instead so schools can avoid giving students existential crises and avoid the embarrassment of needing to report to the students' medical providers that they discovered a disorder or condition that they were obligated to report.
Which is dumb. Sorry your mom cheated or God forbid you find out you have an autoimmune disease. You should be able to know both, sorry if feelings get hurt or your life could be in danger and not even know.
Same! I take my kids to the storytime at B&N every week. It's almost always the same employee running the storytime so we talk afterwards. The kids love her and we actually formed a friendship where we get coffee and meet up at playgrounds with our kids. And usually people work the same hours so if you go at a consistent time you will typically see the same people working. Made friends with our local librarians the same way 😂📚

That's what happened to my poor grandmother. Only she went to her mother, who told her to stop overreacting. No comfort at all.

I think saying OP willingly partook in the "event" isn't fair and puts more blame on him than it should. When someone doesn't fight back in the middle of being sexually assaulted, it doesn't mean they secretly wanted it, ESPECIALLY if they're drunk. So why would this be any different?
This exactly! People fawn or freeze and just don't know what to do
In hindsight yeah he should've done things differently but we're not him in that situation.
There’s a lot of reasons something like this could’ve happened and we just don’t know
My school didn’t even teach punnet squares properly so I’m not surprised that anyone I went to school with would just be so unaware of genetics.
As an O child of AB and B parents, we are possible
Yeah it could have been a mutation
I’m O- and my parents are both A+ but we did ancestry tests to learn about of familial heritage and I know for a fact they are my parents. Is my case rare? I have a brother but we don’t know his blood type.
I think OP should ask their parents and find out the truth instead of harboring negative feelings and not really knowing what happened.
Speak up then
I agree, but I'd take an additional point. It wasn't just that he was married ....
Speaking as a gay man myself. That said, he was Bi before coming to the full conclusion he is gay. Not saying OP is gay ... but from her perspective not knowing he was bi but just thinking he's gay
First, there are people who really do believe being gay is caused by something happening to you.
Also hurting her crush so badly that he became gay thinking of all the heartbreaking thoughts he had to go through to "change" his sexuality after failing with women

just to add to the pool of people already saying this, why are we blaming a drunk guy for not consenting to a group of people having sex with each other in front of him in a common room? and why are we saying that his girlfriend should break up with him over that?
Also he was WASTED. He said he didn’t feel safe to drive home, so he should go walk around somewhere he doesn’t live? Like the whole “ew” factor makes me mad, because it’s be his fault this happened. He even stayed out of it. That’s crazy to blame him because he didn’t join them.

Regarding the Brunch Orgy story, I think the one key factor the three didn't take into account, is yes, if a situation is uncomfortable you would find a way out. Op had stated they were very drunk, and being under the influence you don't think in your right mind, and critical decision-making is not there when you are drunk.
Well good thing your ex doesn't know some of smosh, they'd just label him a creep

It is on the couples to use their brains to be like oh shit we shouldn’t be doing this. Not the person. Let’s not blame him.
Holy shit man, that's nuts. It is a miracle she didn't get toxic shock, I'm scared of it with just one! TWENTY SIX??? Wow.
I literally just had a full-body response to this, oh my god! My question is, how did she keep getting each successive tampon in there??? Didn't it feel taut or stretched or anything???? Yikes!
I once accidentally had 2 in because I forgot I already had one!!! Never again!
sure, this definitely actually happened 😂 If you're gonna make up stories for attention or because you're bored, you should probably make them more possible. Like something that isn't someone sticking more than an entire box of tampons inside themselves without questioning the discomfort once.
My thought was just “how long did they have to shut down that room after?” Because we have to just close an exam room for the day, move the air filter in and spray febreze, for one or two retained tampons. It STINKS.
We needed Damien on this one to be the voice of reason on the orgy story because those takes were not it.

Story 1: maybe his dad couldn’t have children and they just didn’t tell the child so he wouldn’t look at his father as less than, or differently!!!

Another possibility is that his parents broke up and she met the new dad during the pregnancy.
@@moolllyyyyyes! I’m glad Court ended up saying it too lol. I was hoping for an update🥺
How common is this phenomenon? I have a B.A. in Biology but I haven't been taught about this phenomenon before, so just curious! @@cz5453
Interesting I used to be in Biochem and don't remember this being discussed. What is the likelihood of this phenomenon though?
Yeah! One of my aunts has the “wrong” blood type. All the siblings are O and she is a B. She found out when she was 50 years old and did a paternity test. It was not the mailman, her dad was her dad!
Hi ,, sorry but your explanation of Bombay blood group is wrong
Actually Bombay blood group is the person has neither a , nor b and neither the h antigen ( h is the antigen which is present in all blood types even in o ) so this blood because it has all antibodies mimic o blood type, but when this person is transfused with blood o, there a occurs a fatal incompatible reaction, therefore the story cannot be explained by Bombay blood, however explanation given by smosh is still valid and can be possible
That could be a good Smosh Mouth segment.

@@hernameispekka_Rebecca Yeah I think sometimes they get really into discussing that they might forget certain details of a story as well.

Love Smosh and everyone in this video but did they really just go out of their way to empathize with someone who freaked out at a (mostly) harmless joke and then showed almost no empathy while also blaming a drunk person for being a part of a situation he never consented to? This is also how I felt about the story with the drunk guy. Like it’s so much harder to get out of uncomfortable situations like that then it seems, and also he was drunk.
hard agree with this, their takes were wild on that one

Please. 😂
He wanted to watch but retroactively felt like a creep for watching and is trying to lie to himself that he was "forced" to watch.

She would hopefully be sober and could potentially offer a solution too

His friends are gross, yes, but he is equally wrong for just sitting there and watching it happen. Like at the bare minimum go into another room or outside. i always say that, their gender bias is so obvious on every take
Absolutely. It's such a prevalent thing that "Oh men always want sex" and like... no? Men can and often do get SAed too?
And their claims he was making excuses sound a LOT like "Oh she was asking for it". BIG BIG ick there.
Thank you, Courtney, for talking about the need for communication even though you had older sisters/family. That's so real.
Everyone is saying it so I'll keep it breif, but making the drunk dude who was stuck in a room with a couple who had sex without checking with him sound like the creep in that story was a super weak take, I'm sorry.
He was not stuck. He could have left at any time
You should be sorry, you clearly weren't listening.
They offered to let him join. (are we pretending that's not "checking" in some form)
Unless he was physically incapable of standing there was no reason not to at least go to the proch or something. I can't imagine a universe in which I stay in that room.
Also, everyone was drunk and it was two couples and another guy.
@@NoThatRyan "They offered to let him join" - how is that checking with him whether he feels ok about what's going on...?
I kind of agree, I do feel like they are a bit harsh, but then again, we are all lacking major context
Like wdym there are no other rooms to hide in, what is this, a one room house?
You couldn't go into a hallway? Or just outside the door of the room?
Though I kind of agree that they didn't mention or acknowledge that clearly rhat he's... well, drunk
You don't exactly think clearly when you're drunk
But then again, one has to consider the theory that your true thoughts are aired out when drunk, so when he chose to stay, there might've been at least a tiny part of him that wanted to watch
That thing with calling the wife to uber then she can drive him home is smart, but you're not smart when drunk either
I feel like this group just failed to consider a couple factors out of our context, but also they're not entirely wrong with their takes and they weren't TOO harsh
@@RavenousMillenial You could totally tell Ian was NOT having the same opinion. He started with, “I could see myself getting into this situation,” and when he picked up their vibe he just got quiet. And I think that’s fair. Don’t nitpick the rules of a spontaneous orgy when you’re talking to a fairly recently married couple. 😂
@@akenohononiku916 Yeah I’ve seen waaaaay worse takes for these stories (looking at you, Chanse, for the cake eater story.)
Still enjoyed the reddit episode! but yeah, that one made me annoyed lmao
Idk, it feels like you can duck into a different room, I think it's interesting, valid, sure, but I can't relate to the idea of feeling uncomfortable removing myself from a situation I'm more uncomfortable with. Even getting air on the porch, or whatever; it just felt like there were a lot of opportunities for him to extricate himself, drunk or not. But I can appreciate that it's a valid take
I was at a party where everyone started having an orgy in the living room, and I sat out… I didn’t watch, and was invited to join but i had a gf and I genuinely wanted to leave, but felt unsafe in the area to sleep in my car… I may have even told her I cant remember, but I sat in the corner on my phone the entire time trying to dissolve into the bean bag and disappear.

You guys went too hard on the drunken orgy guy. You're giving your opinion as a sober 30 year old, meanwhile this guy's was wasted and probably in his early 20's. It's hard to know how you'll react to an awkward situation until you're in it, especially when you're young and drunk.
if it were a woman they would have said she was assaulted
@@orozco6989 I usually don't agree with "if this was a woman" comments but I actually do here
Yeah, never been in this situation.
Right? I can see my socially anxious ass freezing and not knowing what to do
Why would they do that? Why would Chumbawamba break up?
My heart is breaking as we speak

Guys, he was drunk. You said it yourself that he probably wasn't thinking logically. Like people can freeze when put in uncomfortable situations, should he have called or texted his girlfriend? Yes, but he wasn't thinking logically because he was drunk! Christ guys

Honestly the takes about the orgy story are pretty weird guys. Why was the first thought to say the guy was lying and enjoyed it. That's a pretty gross comment. He was drunk and likely panicked and froze.
right…. wtf
exactly what i was thinking
In general I agree and I think it is good that you bring it up. I think the only thing that makes it seem like he may have not hated it was him saying he just "watched in awe". But then he maybe also meant more like a shock.
Being uncomfortable and freezing hoping someone helps you because you are just in shock is real
Bro go into a bathroom lmao that was not hard to avoid
I do get to a certain extent on wondering why OP didn't find a way to leave the room when everyone was going at it, but I don't think he was being weirdly voyeuristic?
I feel like there would have been some hints here and there in his wording in the post, but it sounds like he was still processing a weird, honestly traumatizing event to me
again gotta keep in mind that the couples did it Without warning and OP was Drunk, so w/e logic he had was very much not there at the time and he could only sit there in utter confusion
14:49 Idk, I took that immediately as her blaming herself for rejecting him. As in maybe she saw it that he resorted to men because he had no luck with the ladies, which would obviously mean she didn’t get the joke, if that is the case.

On the one hand we’re adults and we make our choices. On the other hand I’ve heard of lots of situations where someone froze and didn’t do anything against the tide for one reason or another. The guy messed up but this feels like one of those situations where you just gotta be there to know what you would do.
There’s all these explanations for why what he did was wrong or incorrect but I’m not willing to buy it because this doesn’t sound so cut and dry

As someone in the field of medicine and science, a lot of curriculums don't ask their students what blood type their parents are or do genetic or blood testing on their students anymore because of issues like the one in the first story.

16:48 to Ian's question - the answer is yes when you frequent a book store every week 😅. Made a good friend that way.
