I think 90% of the folks on here don’t realize this show is 20 plus years old. The 80-00 truck scene was all about trucks like this. The more shocks you had the cooler your truck was even though it rode like using a 4x4 post as shocks. Also 6” body lifts were not uncommon at all to clear 40s or bigger on the newer ifs trucks since there was no companies making huge lifts yet. This was 100% a show only truck back in the day
I watched this my entire childhood. It was on every Saturday. Me my dad and my brother. The real name is horsepower tv . This is just one of the trucks episodes. They did everything .muscle cars. Jeeps. Rock crawlers.
Way to go captain obvious. The sooner you realize this was peak show era 4x4 at the time, the sooner you won’t have to cry about it. Just enjoy it and have a laugh, and stop trying to sound smart
An early 2000s episode of (TRUCKS) with a very young Stacey David another Tnn network classic. 12:03 Don't think kustom 89 Chevy 4x4 was made for off roading just built for show luv rear window treatment.
Ya it would I'd rather IFS over crappy solid front axle I've owned solid front axle trucks and they eat up Watford front end parts just stock then any of my IFS trucks... I get 300 000km out of a front end on my IFS GM trucks my 90s dodges used to be in every six months for front end work and wheel alignments and they road and handled like complete shit. I'll take my IFS all day long I'll never go back to solid junk over rated front axle .
Aint nothing heavy duty about IFS suspension. That truck would look way better with a solid axle swap...however those tires will kill the gm 10 bolt rear end that just have c clips to hold the axle shafts in and the stock gears will kill the transmission with those 44" tires and all those shocks the suspension is very stiff if the suspension move at all👎🏿👎🏿🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
Even after over two decades, old school "TRUCKS" still rocks. Never missed it on the weekends.

Trucks! Was such a great show. Wish they would remake it with new episodes.
I'm really sure that that 15" of lift and 44s on it is hell on the unit bearing front hubs and that body lift looks doesn't look safe at all
it's just brass extension's, The body mount bolts are still there.
Big red truck starts at 11:30
👍👍
The Rock. The name and the driving comfort.
I'm sure that truck rides like you're sitting on a rock too so the name makes complete sense.. Is that a little 10 bolt rearend back there? Yikes 🤣🤣
Well. Since it probably doesn't see anything but parking lots it will be fine.
neat stuff. Doing a body lift is a cheap way to get big tire clearance and combined with a basic spacer lift you can fit 35's on almost anything
That eff'n body lift is unsafe...😬😳😲
The days of these show trucks were wild, the more shocks, chrome and anything else excess was what it was all about 😂😂😂
If the rock was used off-road the first bump the tires would rip the fenders off! The rock is a street truck! Unsafe due to a 6” body lift!

Little did they know, Chevy was going to use the Trial Boss name over 20 years later 😂
Where can we order those 3rd brake light covers please? Those are sharp.
Ahhh the days before cordless impact guns were widely used like today:-)
I love that BIG RED TRUCK "THE ROCK "
6 inch body lift?!!
And I thought a 3 inch was to big 😂😂
@@carlosguzman-jj7mothat's what she said. Sorry I couldn't resist.
a late 80's bro dozer
Still less pathetic than modern brodozers.
I miss this show

My dad went to Wyoming tech
I love to watch Stacy….whatever happened to Mel?
that IFS wouldn't survive the Rubicon

LOVE IT I WANT TO SEE MORE
How about those transition graphics 😁😁
I bet that chevy rides like a rock 24 shocks is basically like having 4x4 post
6 inch body lift is wild😅
I'm watching this in 2024 I miss this show
Me too it was good days.
Ted Danson from 1989 called he wants his hairstyle back
This is super late 90’s and eaaaaaaaarly 2000’s nerd
Whoever chose that carpet color needs his or her ordering privileges taken away
Full James May spec: brown, brown, brown
Where are these kids from the diesel program now?
Alright guys, what does Stacey say at 16:22? I don't want the it could be dangerous bit. I wanna know what they bleeped lol
I believe he says toxic(by mistake). Easy mix up when trying to remember lines. No point in re-shooting. They just dubbed it in post.
Why not ceramic coating?.
it didn't exist in 2000
24 shocks!!!! Does the fucking suspension even move!?!?!?
Hell no it rides like a wagon👎🏿👎🏿🤦🏿♂️
No, If it moved at all the tires are eating into the fenders lol
The rock is a pavement princess
You don't say 😳
Derp Derp Derp 🥴🥴🥴 no shit
That bodylift is unsafe af.
This would NOT do well off-road…I have a Tahoe with the same axles and don’t wanna run larger than a 35 on them.

Fuck solid front axles ! I'll take my IFS all day
First there was power nation and now there’s this knockoff 😭
This existed long before Power Nation. Stacey is an OG.
The new shows they do just don't do it anymore for I watch Stacey on gearz.
@@nicksmith-rz2dl the new Power Nation shows are borderline unwatchable.
