      12 year old me used to watch these shows Saturday mornings on spike TV. Dreamed of being able to do aftermarket work like this as a job and for myself. Alas things change and very rarely go how we dream lol

    • @plantdesigns7889
      @plantdesigns7889 2 роки тому +2

      @@zacheiriksson my problem is I always wanted to do it right and that costs money lol. In highschool I wanted an S10 and was going to lower it and put a snug top shell on and have a big wall of sub woofers. I started looking at what I wanted and adding up the cost. I decided I didn't want to work that much while I was in school 🤣. Same story when I got my Camaro senior year and probably won't ever do anything to the Accord Coupe I have now. Oh well, it's fun to dream.

So you get to kill the environment making batteries. Kill the environment to produce the electricity to charge it. In 2000, the Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban got the GMT800 upgrade. Your truck, a heavy duty pickup didn't get the GMT800 treatment until 2001. It sure was a strange transition for GM trucks and suv's, but also the beginning of their decline as well. Both of you are lucky to have those trucks, they are the last of the good ones. I really like all your shows, there is a person you could help, a woman found a junk yard find a 1985 trans am. I runs great but you guys could make it better. She's young and learning about cars. Here's most likely.she has you tube channel, the car is black and good with a brushed on yellow paint on the front bumper

    @12:59 How much torque?

  • @patrickezuma7140
    @patrickezuma7140 4 роки тому

    Look, I've taken the load off my torsion bars and tried to take them out.....they don't slide out like that, not at all. I'm guessing there was a whole lot of work done off camera to get them to slide out like that. Maybe on a brand new truck then would but a truck that has been used and has any kind of rust down there....not a chance

    This modification makes it easier to drive down a dirt driveway every 5 years or get you to the mall with ease. Definately justifies installing this.

      @@tone3560 No the closest mall is over a hour and a half away so I don't go. I don't need that much lift but it would be fun to have.

    How did this increase ground clearance?

    • @Properformancenutritioncom
      @Properformancenutritioncom 4 роки тому

      dwalmop2 The taller tires lifted the entire truck including the axles higher off the ground & the lift kit raised everything above the axles even higher.

    I remember watching this episode when it was new, it really blew my mind that the little red express existed. Started me on my path to be a Mopar fan.
