    Being in several trade careers in my life I have noticed the true master are the ones who pass on their knowledge. They aren’t the ones who keep everything to themselves or then the skill dies. It can be time consuming and difficult but it is worth it in the end. Awesome video, keep up the good work!

      I agree! I'm an apprentice electrician and I value all my journeyman and firemen whether we get along or not. A lit of details!

    • @DwightKShrute
      @DwightKShrute 2 роки тому

      @@jamalcole1985you're correct. 31, and I've been j-man almost 9 years, and I actually DO get favored /sent a lot of apprentices that appreciate that I take time with them so they can actually be great. even if it's their first day, and they're organizing material (which they hate) but BOY does it make you familiar with all the different material we use everyday. (this is in an industrial, commercial setting btw) peace ✌️

      @@DwightKShrute Exactly! I'm 31 as well. Former teacher, tutor and mentor. To be honest I know a lot of electricians complain alot . I come a very tough upbringing (Oakland California) . It's alot of shit I've seen like yea.. we are from different backgrounds/environments.

    I always tell people, wrapping is more of an art. It's hard to explain what to do in certain situations. You can just give them pointers and LOTS of practice. I think he's going to do well if he sticks to it.

    I really enjoy how you are willing to teach others the ways of the wrap industry! Attention to detail is everything! I have a question too, how do you wrap a roof with roof rails in the way? Like on an SUV?

    • @thepassionofthegoose5472
      @thepassionofthegoose5472 2 роки тому +1

      Roof rails that cover the entire surface are typically treated like badging, they're removed. With side rails you can tuck the material under if you have done sufficient prep and have the proper technique, but removing and reinstalling is the better option.

    Can this be accomplished in an 8 hour day if focused on the car?

    • @sidelinegraphics
      @sidelinegraphics 2 роки тому

      No, you have to prep the car like you would as if it were getting painted... Sometimes that alone can take a full day or so depending on what you are working with... In all honesty I'd say 3-5 days depending on size and how much prep is needed. You also need to let it "cure" afterwards.. But that's my opinion from experience anyway

Several leave their cars out in the sun all the time. You should talk to whoever is making your materials. Maybe they are using inferior products to manufacture them.
