    This match speaks volumes about Hikaru’s resilience and resourcefulness, and Magnus’ raw domination even on an off day. He was clearly off-form but still nearly clutched it at the end. He led the 3+1 and 1+1 after playing badly in the 5+1. GOATs.

      I honestly think the WC final being at the same day probably was bad for Magnus. I felt exhausted myself after that and I was completely neutral. He looked completely out of energy. Well played by Hikaru though, I think he played better overall and completely played Magnus's weakness and didn't let it come down to creative chess as he said himself.

    • @williamrobert9898
      @williamrobert9898 Рік тому +1

      @Tehkenny1 I wouldn't necessarily say he played "better" than Magnus, it was clear that Magnus always got the better of Hikaru whether he was on the white side or the black side he seemed to outplay Hikaru in most of the games but he had some terrible time management and most of the games in which he outplayed Hikaru ended in a draw after Magnus failed to convert his advantage

    • @Tehkenny1
      @Tehkenny1 Рік тому +8

      @@williamrobert9898 I think you're wrong but it is also the reason why Carlsen is the best player in the world and Hikaru isn't. Hikaru is perfect against Magnus, Magnus thrives on creative and wild chess, he wants it as far away from theory as possible while Hikaru is probably the best in the world at solid chess. Playing constantly solid against a player like Magnus means Magnus need to play more risky moves which can lead to counter attacks
