    Amazing, you can watch Levy slip into the seventh circle of hell in real time. My experience playing bots has been a lot like this though, one minute you're wondering how you could ever lose to something so stupid and the next you're wondering how such disgusting counterplay is even possible. Losing up a full piece is incredibly tilting, you handled it a lot better than I do.

    I really hope Gotham has it in him to play the master level bots, I just watched a 92 minute video in one sitting and I'd probably watch the movie length master bots video in one sitting if he ever makes it
    It's also interesting how in any game playing against the AI has a different meta than playing against other people, just because of how different the logics end up being

      They pretend they are stupid for 7 moves straight and then hit you with a depth 18 stockfish move. Even the 550 bot has checkmate moves than even I at 900 just straight up don't see on the board.

    • @kylejensen2409
      @kylejensen2409 10 місяців тому +3

      Honestly, I think bots at lower levels sometimes make obligatory blunders “because of their ELO.” I beat Nelson easily one game because of the blunder at the right time, and then freaking lost to Aron. Stupid. It’s a dice roll for when the obligatory blunder happens.

    • @Mike_HT
      @Mike_HT 10 місяців тому +3

      It's difficult to mimic human behavior at chess. The blunders that the engine does often don't look human at all.

    • @user-si5ik5xf3m
      @user-si5ik5xf3m 10 місяців тому +1

      Those bots feel like they are playing stockfish recommendations and do some nonsense sometimes. While nonsense and engine move rates are ELO dependant. But it seems to be not so much like that.

    This is one of my favourite videos. It's so interesting to see how Levy is thinking and all the moves he is calculating while playing these bots. I find these as interesting as the grandmaster games analysis videos because it's watching Levy on the edge of his knowledge of chess in real time trying to beat these guys.

Even when it was frustrating for you at times, I learned a lot in these 90 minutes and was watching every second with huge interest and fascination. And I'd love to see you beat the expert bots as well, even if it takes 3 hours or you do this in 2 or 3 videos or you team up with Hikaru or.... Thanks for doing this, I hope you had a good long walk after it! Best, Stef
