@@Euroversity I've never heard of drilling holes in a piston but the only other things I can think is maybe the spark plug isn't sealed or you have a bad head gasket
'4 stokes don't lose compresstion as quick.' What are you even talking about. It won't be you air filter as much, more like not enough oil in the fuel. it should be a 40 to 1 mix of petrol to oil. but I would do a 30 to 1, if you are losing compresstion Also check your piston rings and head gasket. They could be worn. Check the squash washer on the spark plug 2 stokes do not rev higher, they just have a higher pitch. The only reason you keep needing to get new top ends is because you do not put enough oil in. Get a 4 Stoke, may be more expensive but the engine lasts a lot longer.
2 strokes do rev higher depending on size of engine. I haven't bought a top end yet. it very well could be the air filter that makes your engine lose compression if you dont maintain it. I run 32/1 oil gas mix in all my 2 strokes. If you know everything why are you watching this video?
E&A Green you know why they have more power? The company’s spend a lot more money doveloping then. If it was the other way around and they were putting the same effort into 2 strokes then they would make more power then 4 strokes
my 97 kx randomly looses compression after like 10 kicks and gains it back right after, i have no fuckin clue what it is because i just sent it off for a top end and a bottom a few months ago and only put like 3 hours on it
And fyi the number 1 reason that the top end goes is because it overheated in 2 stroked because of the high rpm, 4 stroked also loose compression due to valve issues and or carb issues, depends how you maintain
I might be buying a kx soon as a project guess it has low compression for 1500 idk if the guys knows anything about the fix on it but it’s a steel I think

I have almost no compression on my kx I’m being told my engine might be blowing up I’m also being told I just need a new piston but this video has got me confused 🤷♂️
Octane Addiction hey man can you help me out I just rebuilt my kx100 just put it back together and she has no compression cylinder is mint has new piston and gaskets and spark plug n has some compression but not a lot
Thanks weatherman
I replaced front end after every race. People this is not the best info . I'm sorry to the guy.
real help man been searching thru forums buy no help accept you thanksman
Very good brother thanks from Dhule Maharashtra India
I was climbing a hill and it layed over at the top and all a sudden lost a chunk of compression but still starts okish
how to replace wires coming from engine on kickstart
Hey there, Can having a loose exhaust pipe cause low compression?
This shouldn't cause any compression issues but it may lower exhaust back pressure
@@octaneaddiction1405 ok thank you good to know
If it is a two stroke you will get no power at all with a loose exhaust bend, but with a 4 stroke it is just bad for the exhaust valve
I have a question! I rebuilt my rm 85 and it still won’t start and has no compression... any help?
It could be your cylinder has some big scratches in it or it could be you have the wrong size piston and or rings
Octane Addiction The piston and rings is the right size and there is no scoring in the jug! Could it be because I didn’t drill holes in the piston?
@@Euroversity I've never heard of drilling holes in a piston but the only other things I can think is maybe the spark plug isn't sealed or you have a bad head gasket
A1 Outdoors You don’t need to drill holes in a 2 stroke piston...
ShireFlyer69 ur so figured that out lol, it turns out the cylinder was scored.
Not a 4-stroke guy
Spot on lad... 👏🏻

2 strokes rev high cause they only have a crank for rotation assembly not cam, rocker arms, cam etc
JxckC Or you just don’t know anything about a 2 stroke.
Thanks needed the advice but you sound kind of but hurt or you just want to be better than every one

thank you for the info, how do you know if your radiator pump still works???i have a cr125,i dont know much about dirtbikes.
To test if the water pump works you can take off your radiator cap and start the bike. If you see the coolant moving a little bit than it works
@@octaneaddiction1405 thanks for the info.
Lol if you’re bike doesn’t overheat super easy it’s fine

Blown engine prolly lol or gasket
Me because I did all of this and it seized soooo I'm so dead
Same lol rip
Anybody notice the red bull can
I did, right over the uni trac
I was like why is the Red Bull there did he put it there I want to be sponsored by Red Bull but would you put the Can on your bike
Shaw Ahmed 🤣 that’s not a can that’s how u adjust the rear shocks
Shaw Ahmed he put a sticker over it
Lol
well thank u for this video broh 🔥🔥🔥🔥help me alot
Ok so I bought a 1994 kx125 and rode it for a day and the next day it had no compression really why might this be ??
Stuck rings, lack of oil, just warn out top end, hole in piston due to heat or stress.
@@octaneaddiction1405 would I be better off getting a new cylinder or having it sleeved because it can’t be bored out
