Yeah I liked this service too, I tried almost all of them and only liked homechef but after trying every plate I have another favorite at half the cost

I saw the chicken sausage penne on your meal list and thought yum. So I kept looking around your video's trying to find the recipe. Then I saw that it was every plate. So I went looking there. I did a similar recipe called Italian sausage penne with kale and roasted garlic cream sauce. We did change somethings. We used chicken with apple sausage, fresh spinach instead of kale, used a big pinch of chili powder instead of chili flakes. We tripled everything except the lemon. Came out perfect! My husband cooked it and this was his first time cooking fresh spinach. He loved it! So we will be having it again. Thanks for sharing the website.

The three meals looked really yummy I think the one good thing about ordering from them is you get new recipes but it looks like it might be a little cheaper just to buy the ingredients so then you can have leftovers and it would be a little cheaper I'm a money saver so I try my hardest to say when I get it thank you for sharing
They have now upgraded the site to include meals for 4 and 5 days. I have only skipped once due to vacation. Only one meal was not to our liking. The meals for two is plenty, we usually get enough for a take to work meal.
Great review, thank you I actually was worried about them because they were so cheap. Does not seem they could make any money! I do like that there seems to be a lot less packaging because they pack it together rather than in separate boxes, or bags! I am going to give them a try~
I ordered my first box before seeing your review so I missed the discount. I am impressed with the quality of vegetables and meats. The packaging was fabulous. To comment on the pricing, I think sometimes you may be able to get some stuff cheaper at the store but this is my thoughts on that: it’s just my husband and I so making big meals is out and I have a ton of cookbooks, Pinterest saves, and clippings I never look at. I like being able to make meal selections for the week and getting exactly what I need to make it. I don’t have to buy a whole bag of cheese or rice or special spices. And it’s the whole meal with sides too. I will be trying first meal tomorrow. Ponzu pork meatballs. Sounds yummy. I would never make that from a cookbook.
*We LOVE Every Plate! The food is good, the recipes are easy (my 6 and 7 year old kiddos often help!) and the whole family enjoys them.*

Do you find there's plenty of food with the 4 serving choice? I haven't tried any of these services and I'm always worried that someone will complain about still being hungry
I am enjoying our meals for two. I let the company pick out my weekly choices. A good way to try different recipes

Pleasant and useful video about the cooking and eating part. But I was looking for information about the the amount of recycling and time to recycle. to me, that is the main drawback of delivered meals.

Are there any services like this for breakfast or lunch?
I'm sad because you tempted me to try this meal service, but they don't deliver to Alaska :-( . Sigh...I shouldn't be surprised - there are a lot of things that don't ship here or don't ship free. I guess it would be tough to get fresh food here in a timely manner unless they had someone local put the boxes together.
Can you substitute out sides: if you can’t eat carrots, can you sub out something else?
This meal delivery looks delicious, I'm interested and may give it a try. I have a question, just curious, with no oven how are you doing the baked items, do you use your moms oven for those things? The pasta looked spicy, was it? Those spiced Swedish meatballs looks amazing, yup, I'm going to have to try this delivery service. Thank you for sharing your reviews ... this is great.
I use my ninja foodie and toaster oven when I can but yes, sometimes I do need to use an actual oven :) The pasta was a little spicy due to the chili oil.
I was also wondering if the $48 was with a discount. The red blouse you are wearing makes your pretty face pop. :)

They were delivered dry but I cooked them in boiling water :)

Does this have a keto option? Or does it have the nutritional facts on majority of the items so you can change up if needed
I'm wondering about nutrition. Seems there's a lot of added oils which add fats. I need heart healthy low fat meals. Even oils are too much fat due to a borderline enlarged liver. Do they have better leaner options?
I have been wanting to try a home delivery service for me and my husband. We have gone from 5 to 2 , we are going through the empty nest syndrome. I am so use to cooking for 5 and it has been hard to just cook for 2 and these services will help me so much with everything be pre-measured. I have researched almost all of the services and this one seems to be the most affordable and this video has now helped me come to the decision of trying this out first. Thanks for the video.

Very tempting to try but most concerning and no one has mentioned it is the amount of packaging used. All that extra plastic going into landfills. Getting the same stuff at stores and farmers markets would be more effort but so much less packaging. I understand the convenience factor especially for less able bodied folks but boy, that’s a tough trade off.

Just curious how come you use an instant pot and hot plate instead of a stove?
I do not have a stove where I live right now so use a lot of different small appliances 😊
Hello Vanessa, could you please tell me if your price is with the 20 dollars off? We are a large family as well and I have wanted to try some of these meal services but none are for large families. I can get our meal cost to less than 10 dollars and have left overs etc. I am a cheapskate lol. But the food looks yummy, but just way to small for our family. Thanks for sharing your experience

Hi Vanessa, thanks for these videos, I've been interested in these food delivery services for a while, but haven't tried them yet. I'm in Canada though, so i don't think your coupon code works for me. Since you have such limited space to cook, why don't you use your instant pot to cook your noodles. I never cook pasta in a pot now that I have my instant pot. I just cover the pasta with water, set for half the cooking time and QR. You don't have to wait for the pot to boil and watch the pot as the pasta cooks. So easy, and would be beneficial to you with your limited cooking elements. Have a great day. :)
I'm trying to follow the directions as best as I can for those who don't have an instant pot :) Some recipes I do use my other appliances though.

I don't know. 4.99 per person for a 4 person kit ends up being $20.00 a meal. You could make that dinner a lot cheaper if you went grocery shopping.
Some of us are homebound.
A lot of grocery stores now deliver. If they don't deliver in your area I guess this would be the next best thing. Seems like your just paying for a recipe and over priced groceries.
You definitely can spend less money by going grocery shopping and purchasing items to prepare a meal. However, there are situations where a meal delivery box can be worth it for some. For instance my sister in law really doesn’t know how to cook. She needs step by step instructions and something that gives her ideas of different meals to prepare. Then there is a situation like ours. For a couple of months out of the year my husband’s and my busiest times at work overlap. For those couple months meal planning, making lists, and going grocery shopping is more than either of us really have time for. As a result we end up picking up dinner more times than I care to admit which is bad not only for our wallet but it’s not that healthy either. But when we tried a meal delivery box I found we rarely picked up dinner because we knew everything to make a meal was sitting at home already measured out and packaged together. For us the convenience during that time was well worth the extra cost.
This totally depends on what you're making. If you're making a meat dish, depending on what the prices are at your local grocery store, meat for 4 people could be half of that amount right there. Then add in the sides and all the little extras and I'll bet you're at or over $20 for many of the dishes. Some ingredients, such as breadcrumbs, sour cream, or shredded cheese, you can buy at the store and reuse for multiple meals since they aren't single serve sizes, but that requires a little more spending up front if you don't already have them and you need to also plan well enough that you use up the entire thing before it goes bad. Otherwise you're just throwing money away anyways.

I thought 30 minutes wasn't bad at all for the cook time on these.
You did a fair amount of chopping and prepping do you feel like paying the extra for not shopping is worth it
You would still do the same amount of prep if you went to the store tho

I wasn't happy with Every Plate. Alternatively and hilariously, I did like Hello Fresh. Which.. is the same company. So my take is, Hello Fresh is more expensive because they put everything in separate bags and the recipe cards give you actual measurements. Every Plate gives you obscure measurements according to what they give you and throw everything into the box for you to sort out.
Either way.. I'm thinking of going to Blue Apron. Because lately, Hello Fresh has been forgetting at least one ingredient in every box.
Is it $4.99 for all the four plates? Like the whole dinner is $4.99? Or $4.99 for each person?

I tried this because my bestie sent me a box. I love that they let you send free meals to friends. Unfortunately, they didn't have anything that I would eat. I am a vegetarian as well. 🙁
Excellent demo of the meals. The only problem is now I'm starving to death! Wish you could hand me plate through my phone!😀
I signed up for it and then once I saw what they offered? I immediately cancelled. Nothing with the initial offerings looked appetizing at all. Let's put sriracha in every meal! The only thing that looked good was the penne meal but I certainly can't eat that 6 times.
Sorry to hear that. You can check in every week or two. They rotate their meals every so often. Maybe they will have something you like in the future.
On my first week to choose from Every Plate, I, too was disappointed in the choices. So many with potatoes or white rice, lots of ground beef or sausage...no seafood of any sort. I like meal plans that have more unusual and imaginative choices. I can understand families with young children liking these...except for the one week when the majority of the meals had hot peppers/spices.
The second week, I chose to skip. Nothing exciting there. I may or may not cancel for the third week. Perhaps I have been spoiled as I have previously tried three other Meal plans including Sun Basket. Sun Basket meals were far more imaginative and varied. So much so that I kept the recipes from them.
Even their photo presentation of the meals was excellent. And, yes they cost more... but you get more...both in quantity and quality.
Being disabled - when I make a meal for my husband and I, I do it with 3 things in mind. Easy, affordability, and enough food for 2 days. I want leftovers for at least 2 meals and sometimes some for the freezer too. These would not work for me. Too much chopping etc, too much money for the amount of food, and too much work. The instant pot has become my best friend. I find easy recipes - brown my meat, throw everything in and let it do its work. It’s so great!! They need to do meals like this for the instant pot! Or crockpot. 😁
I would have loved to listen to you explaining and trying the meals instead of just music. It would be fun to hear the kids and you showing opinions too! 😊 I’m glad you liked them all.
I was not a fan - much smaller portions then other services, lower quality ingredients and lack of original spices and flavors
I think this review would have been better presented without the use of the instant pot :)

I was expecting to see the meal already prepared ! I don't see the point of this service ,unless you live miles away from a grocery store! . I mean why can you spend 15 minutes and go to store and grab whatever you need ?
nelson chauca these meal services are for people/families that want a fresh cooked meal but don’t want to go to the store or have to plan a meal. The nice thing about these kits is they only include the exact ingredients you need and the exact amount. This is nice when you have a recipe that calls for a special ingredient or spice that’s expensive and you know you’re only ever gonna use it that one time.
A lot of carbs. Very little protein, but for the price I guess that’s ok
