For the pasta, use a little of the startchy cooking water to thin the sauce.

I tried Everyplate for a couple months. The price is right and serving size is good, but I thought there was too much potatoes, pasta, or rice. I used half of any of those, then added a healthier vegetable. Now I'm trying Home Chef, which is better food, but quite a bit more expensive after their intro pricing.
I totally agree with all of that - definitely tons of potatoes I always notice that!! but the price is so good so its hard to complain haha Home Chef is definitely more pricey but it really is restaurant quality in terms of the ingredients and taste so I feel like it is SO worth the money

Ha ha, in my family a solid starch is essential to dinner. 😆 Granted, we think tater tot hot dish is the best meal ever so...yeah, super Minnesotan.
What is wrong with that? I don't get it. That is what the average person eats. The dishes are delicious. I haven't had a bad one yet.

We just ordered this, so far we are very happy! Nicely packed, all the fresh ingredients, and affordable. The portions are a nice size. We are going to continue with it and see if it stays good and cost effective. Definitely easy to follow instructions, and something different on our dinner menu. Did I mention the meals are delicious!?!?!

@@lynnrose9974 I heard this but every review from Every Plate is positive and even though they throw it all together and you figure out your recipe’s ingredients… that’s okay. That’s no problem. I’m so excited for my box to get here.
However, I have no desire to try Hello Fresh. Even though it’s the same company. Is that crazy? I’ve seen rotten potatoes sent with Hello Fresh and meat that wasn’t even cold anymore. That doesn’t sit right with me for the price.

its funny you should ask that because my husband has had that knife since he was in like college, its literally sooooo old, we have no idea or brand or even where he got it! he makes fun of me all the time for still using it when we have way better knives now😂

I actually liked home chef and been using them for a few years but their quality of produce have declined. There's been a few times I didn't have fresh produce and had broccoli that smelled bad. I used Hello Fresh but they seem too expensive for my budget plus they don't include butter you have to provide that. So now I will be trying Everyplate and see how they are.
I agree about hello fresh! It’s too expensive for what they require you to provide. I think you’ll love everyplate! It’s so affordable!

You need to add pasta water to your cream cheese to make a sauce. I'm a highly experienced cook, and the recipe should have said that! You made glop, lol!

I got a promo coupon in the mail today saying $1.99 per meal but when login onto website everything is $4.99 and included was a code to get this discount and upon entering it the code I got message it was expired, so they sent me a new code and now the price per meal is $4.59 so its kinda bait and switch so I wont try this service. Glad you liked it though lol

I enjoyed this one before I invested in an Instant Pot. Its great for people who don't like to go grocery shopping. For me, it got old after a while because they would either recycle the recipes or recycle ingredients so even though I was eating a different meal, it kind of felt the same. I wish someone would make something between you having to cook something yourself and having a meal prepped that goes in the microwave that cost just as much as these plans.
Every Table does that. I usually buy about 4-5 a week so when I’m not in the mood to cook I pop it in the microwave and I’m good to go.
People complaining but I don’t care it’s the cheapest and affordable and healthy this is good for me and my mom although I think we could just keep the recipes and try and find it in the grocery store for cheaper🤷♀️

the time depends but the good thing is you can see the steps and the amount of time it takes online before you order so you can decide which meals you'd like based on that!

Hello Fresh wasn't bad, just very pricey. Looked into Home Chef and I'm interested, but I like that some meal kits have small portions as I'm trying to lose some weight. I wish some had breakfast food.

I used blue apron and it was hit and miss.I tried every plate one time . The meat was missing on a meat dish and one of the meals said half a egg plant so they sent half a eggplant and the whole half the was cut was not wrapped and it was moldy. One of the liquids leaked all over the other items because it was tossed in with the other items. Customer service was so bad . They told me just go to the store and purchase the missing chicken for the recipe. It kinda ruins the purpose of the box it took forever to get a resolve. Oh and the box came a day later then it was scheduled to

usually the potatoes or veggie is baked but you dont have to make them that way! you can totally roast whatever veggies that give you in a pan, too! its all up to you! but ovens are so easy, you should totally take advantage of having one! it basically cooks for you haha
I will definitely be trying to service trying to debate on if I’m going to have my meals delivered or just buy me a nice cookbook

i’ve been considering starting every plate for a while now, and im moving into my own place in a little less than a month so now is the time to start, but i’m not much of a chef. i’m worried the meals are going to be too hard for me to make, especially alone.

Tried Every Plate but too much cooking and steps and portions were too small for my family. Taste was good. Essentially I was looking for quick and easy and child friendly.

it definitely is! you can tell why though - between the ingredients and the packaging and such but I still love it!!

we are obsessed with home chef! it's our top favorite! it's a little more expensive so I would say it's got more interesting meals for that reason but we love every plate so much, too!

Breaking up white bread in water ( you over soaked ) is the weirdest thing you've EVER done. Wow, I have no response. The zucinni needed salt and butter in hot pan . In your presentation ( cherry meatballs) you went from the bread and water to the end result. Lots of ingredients? Difficulty level? Said they were good but what did they taste like?
yeah it was weird but I was just following the directions lol and I don't like to cook in butter so I didn't use that with the zucchini! just personal preference. I think I showed the ingredient/recipe card in the beginning so you can judge for yourself whether you think its alot of ingredients or not... but these meals are super easy and super tasty! and to your other comment - yes, I cook a ton! have been since I was very young, I enjoy it
Breaking up bread in liquid is a classic technique, but more often done with other liquids like milk. Have even seen done with wine.
If you drink more water you'll sound less congested all the time. Also don't forget to eat - can't hydrate as well without food !
I dont sound congested alllll the time haha just when I have allergies occasionally, and I drink plenty of water & eat plenty of food lol but thanks!
