@@elanacarter5717 No. I definitely prefer NYC. L.A. honestly sucks to me. I just like the weather here. To me the people make a city, and the people here are fake like he said. NYC is real, and the vibe of that city you can't beat. I've just gotten comfortable in L.A., because it is a bit easier to just live here. You definitely have to hustle harder in NYC.

You sound like I did when I first moved to LA from NY lol. Now I have my rose colored glasses off. The LA nightlife scene has fell off big since pandemic. Back in the day I'd say it was neck and neck with NY. Had so many great nights out here. But so many things are shut down and apart from the handful of spots you mentioned, there's nothing. Meanwhile, outside of the high end clubs, there are hundreds of chill bars that always have activity, at least Thursdays thru Sundays.

I have to say, you gave a great logical review. Most people talk so badly about LA, but as a native, I could not disagree with everything you pointed out. I never ever get tired of LA. I have always discovered something new living here even after 30+ years. Those Hollywood mansion parties are on another level!

How do you get to go to mansion party?

    • @Botanicalguy91

@WizardsPath-if5oq Through a connection. Usually, you need to know someone in the entertainment industry. I had a friend who was an amateur playmate, so she got invited to some of the best LA parties. The problem is that most of these are inaccessible.

Such a helpful video! I've wanted to move to the States to pursue a career in film and can't decide between LA and NY. After watching this, LA sounds like a better fit! I just gotta get a car...

This was a very good analysis. The only point I would say I would disagree on is the opportunities. I think NYC has the most opportunities of any city virtually in the world. You literally have every industry in NYC. I''ve currently lived in L.A. for 11 years and lived in NYC for 10. I honestly overall miss NYC. L.A. lacks in a lot of areas for me. However, as you stated you do get more bang for your buck and you can't beat the weather. I've also grown to like the overall laid back atmosphere. However, the overall culture and people are very underwhelming. The point you made about really meeting true friends in NYC is so true. And I believe the friendships and relationships are the currency of life. So for me I just feel NYC is the better city if you can make it truly work. There's truly no place like it in the world. Great video!

Hmmmmm. Almost a great video. I’ve lived in both cities. The cost of living is not more expensive in NYC. If you live all the way out in the IE or the Valley…then yes it’s less expensive. You are not getting a decent 1br anywhere from Santa Monica to DTLA for under $2500. Tbh, if you want something that’s relatively nice…you’ll need a minimum of $3200/$3500. People get to LA and realize they have to live far out to get something that’s somewhat affordable.

Idk why but I'm the only guy I know where I had an easier time meeting women in LA than NYC. In fact, NYC was (for some reason) on hardmode for me. Almost zero action. LA, first week I'm pulling baddies. And I'm not broke or bad looking either.
I think at heart im too much of a chilled out and relaxed dude for NYC. New Yorkers kinda see that and either don't trust it or think I'm weak I guess. Idk. Funny cuz I grew up in NYC 28 years.

Bro I live all my life in NYC(Brooklyn) and I can pull women out in my city. But you always in Hardcore mode. But when I went to cali, I get mad love out there from the baddies. I had an ex and another women that is a 8-9 ish. Both beautiful. The difference between NY V. LA women. NY girls are more masculine, ,& LA are more feminist. Definitely planning on moving to LA tho. I like the natures vibe, hiking vibes ,& etc….
Overall it definitely depends on your vibes between the two coasts. Everyone got different tastes. Me ? I am tired of the coldness out here, iam ready for summer vibes.

i'd have to disagree with LA people being "fake" a little bit, i feel like if you're not just going to like "hip" spots and clubs and shit, the people are as real as anywhere else. yes, the entertainment people and wannabes are a part of the city but LA is a very working class place at heart. there's a lot of good honest people here just grinding and some of em don't go to clubs and shit. i will say though having things be spread out definitely makes people (even the cool ones) probably a bit more likely to be a bit flakey. a bit more understandable that people can't make every hang if they got kids, work, and they gotta hit heavy traffic. but idk, i still have plenty of genuine friends that i can count on.

    NYC VS LA
I HAVE LIVED IN BOTH, LOVE BOTH. LA IS A SLOW PLACE, HAS VERY LITTLE CULTURE, GREAT WEATHER IF U LIE 1 SEASON, I LIKE 4 SEASONS. IN LA YOU CAN BE AN STAR AND BE MEDIORCE HERE IN NYC, IF YOU HAVE NO TALENT, YOU WILL HAVE NO CAREER.NIGHT LIFE IN LA IS A JOE, YOU CLOSE AT 2AM IN NYC WE DONT GO TO THE CLUB TILL 2:30AM. HOLLYWOOD, AND YOUR MOTION ARTS WERE ALL STARTED BY GUYS FROM NYC. ITS A WONDERFUL TOWN, FOOD HAS GOTTEN BETTER, BUT NYC IS THE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD, AND THE MOST FAMOUS CITY ON EARTH. LA A WONDERFUL PLACE

love this video mane. im frm dallas and just moved to LA 4 months ago. huge mistake for my personality. ima very serious person tbh, hard person to break ice on cause i dont condone fake shit. im also caribbean(prolly one of the only caribs in dallas and LA😂)and would easily connect culturally with the bronx. im always wishing bout better public transportation, im tired of partying wit ppl for 1 night and then them shruggin me off. they dont even give you a chance to become friends they jus lookin for career connections. i WANT to hustle quickly and be around people who do. i WANT to be around MY culture(garifuna). another thing, my favorite part of cities is the skyline yet i aint never seen the largest one in the US🗽… im 18 and got all the time in the world. overall it do sound like the perfect place for me. ima save some money and start applying for jobs in nyc🤷‍♂️. appreciate it fam
