I firmly stand by the fact that Scar's original name was Taka (not that lion guard isn't canon, I just prefer that to Askari tbh) Also I believe that Ahadi gave Taka his Scar.
I think Taka could not get the scar on his eye from Ahadi OR The Buffalo King. Think about it. If Ahadi did attack Taka, severely injuring him in the process, Taka would not have JUST THAT scar. He would have at least old, yet visible claw marks somewhere on his body, because lions have 5 claws on each of the front paws and 4 on each of the back paws, that makes it 18 in total. Realistically, there is no way that a brutal attack from Ahadi would leave Taka with only one visible scar - on his eye. Unless Ahadi went for Taka's face and ONLY for face, that would be impossible, otherwise, his entire face would have been scarred. And there should be some on his nose and/or cheeks. Same goes for the incident with the Buffalo King. With horns like that, since we got information that Taka was badly injured from the Buffalo King, there is no way that a sharp horn could only leave a damage to Taka's eye alone. It should have made at least several deep, bleeding cuts in randome places, torn skin and flesh pieces falling or dangling off of the lion. Taka should have had more scars than just an eye one. So that leaves us with just one thing that could have caused his scar to remain - the shady lion's snake's bite. We see that in the Lion Guard, Kion too, gets a scar from a snake. And it makes him vulnerable to his own anger issues (as he roared on his friends, scaring them). We get the information that this snake's bite is venomous and if left untreated, a scar left by it, can infiltrate the victim's mind and confuse the animal about what is right and wrong, leading them to doing horrible things, because in their perspective, the world is against them. Snakes have only 2 fangs, which if used for attack and it is not precise, may lead to one of the fangs, not pierce the skin (missed). Kion got both, while Taka - only one. That is why I believe, Taka's scar was probably from a snake's bite. He did not go to the Tree of Life, which got the poison do its thing and when Taka approached Mufasa, it seemed like Mufasa, his own brother, made fun of him. When it could have been simpler - Mufasa only joked and Taka could have said "Wooow. "Scar''. Really funny, Mufasa ha-ha. You know my name is Taka and that will never change'' and the two could have laughed it off. But of course, the poison made Taka take it the wrong way and get offended. Much worse - realize Mufasa should have never been king. Simple as that. That is why I think about Kovu's scar as well - how incorrect it was. Zira slapped him with her paw. Again, like I said before, lions have 5 claws on each of the front paws, so it never made sense to me, why Kovu's face was shown only with one, direct scar across his eye. He should have had at least 4 long, red or pink-ish scratch marks across his face. Unless Zira missed most of her claws and only one made it into direct contact with Kovu, that scene was never accurate and it always seems wrong to me.
If the buffalo did I feel it would be more than a scar over his eye he most likely would had dead than that scar I say another lion gave him his scar over his eye
His name is taka in the new movie and he and mufasa aren't biological brothers. DISNEY can't decide what's Canon. I personally only consider the first 2 movies Canon! I'm not a fan of the lion guard and don't consider it Canon but to each their own.

Me too, it just seems like they lazily took a name they could shorten to Scar and say “it was a nickname” … yeah, lazy 😒😒😒
@@LadyLeomon Plus it makes sense for Kovu to get his scar from Zira in the same way, even though we all know Kovu wasn't related to Scar.

This is disney they don’t do things realistically. They do things to suit their needs.
That’s a very valuable point for this.
