Sarabi's love for Mufasa was only briefly shown in Disney’s The Lion King. Yet, despite only having a few on-screen interactions, it was clear that the two had very deep feelings for each other and it seemed like nobody could come between that. But if they were real lions that would not have been the case at all. In fact, if all of the characters in The Lion King acted more like the animals that they were based on, there’s a good chance that Sarabi and all of the other lionesses would be head over paw for Scar rather than Mufasa. That has led some fans to speculate that the two should’ve been together all along.

My guess is that during scar’s reign, zira and scar killed lions outside of pride rock along with some sick and/or disabled cubs but always taking the healthier cubs and raising them as their own. That might also means that vatani and kovu were adopted by the two phyco lions. The reason why scar and zira favored kovu is because he was just like scar and more suitable heir even though they are not related. Nuka is possibly the non suitable male because he was weaker that zira and scar would have killed him. In the wild some of the lioness kills their own cubs when a new male arrives and they do this in mercy.
Ziras cup nuka was not good enough and vitani nalas was not good enough.

I kind of assumed Sarabi became Scar's queen as a kid because she still seemed to be the top lionness. Then I learned that the movie is basically 'Hamlet,' which would suggest the same idea.
Kovu, Vitani & Nuka are not Scar's children. Zira specifies this in TLK2. it's specified again in the Lion Guard where there's an entire episode dedicated to Kovu's bloodline; Zira says to Kovu's face that he isn't hers, that she killed his real parents and kidnapped him as a cub and raised him to be a killer. he spends the entire episode coming to terms with this information, and grieves the fact that he will never know his real parents.

@@paulabarnes233 if any of them were Scar's kid, they would have automatically been next in line for his place in the outlands. Scar did not have any kids, therefore Zira had to pick up some random kid and train him (over her own children). if Vitani or Nuka were Scar's kids, Kovu would have had no reason to exist at all, they would just take his place.

Despite his having the darker mane, Scar, by his own admission, isn't the stronger of the two males in that pride. So, Sarabi's being with Mufasa, who is the strong one, actually makes sense.

Actually, in TLK2, Kovu says that he isn't Scar's son. While Vitani calls Zira mother, its never confirmed. In fact, the only confirmed cub of Zira's is Nuka, and Nuka is likely Scar's son. Just based on body shape and coloration. I believe Nuka at some point in the movie even says "I'm Scar's real son" or something along those lines. Idk about the Lion Guard, and mostly I ignore it because what little I have watched completely contradicts its own lore.
You would be correct. Disney has confirmed that Vitani is Zira's but she has no confirmed father. Nuka is Scar's only canonical child. Nuka does in fact say "He's not even Scar's son." And he also says "I'm his true heir." Confirming that Nuka is infact Scar's son
Scar wanted to have a child with Nala according to the Broadway play, not Sarabi.
It is never conformed that Nuka, Vitani, and/or Kovu are Scars children. Kovu is Scar's "chose air to the throne", according to Zira in The Lion King 2. Which suggests he is no Scar's child. If Nuka or Vitani was Scar's cub they would likely be air to the throne autonatically, like Simba when he was born. It is stated that the lion in exile in the Lion King 2 still supported Scar. So it could be that there were lions that were open and willing to mate with Scar, and the others the didn't support Scar refused to mate with Scar. Because these are lions that are behaving more like humans than real lions.
Nuka does say that Scar "wasn't even his father, he just took him in" when referring to Kovu when we first meet Nuka. So there's that

You also have to remember in the movie Nuka says "Scar wasn't even his father" showing Kovu wasn't Scar's kid
I think in the new lion king scar says that sarabi chose Mufasa over him suggesting that Scar liked her and were probably friends in the past . Nuka in my opinion is the cub of Zira and scar, Vitani probably came from a lioness similar build to sarafina & Nala with Scar as father and Kovu was adopted by Zira

Yeah... This is just a theory, luckily... Nuka is not Sarabi's. Kovu isn't related to Scar nor Sarabi in any way... He even says so in The Lion King 2: "Scar wasn't my father-..." as well as Nuka saying: "Kovu, Kovu, Kovu, Scar wasn't even his father. He just took him in."
So yeah... a THEORY.

I remember learning this about lions not too long ago and something that came to mind was that if the lion king was based on real life lions then Nala would have been killed since she was a cub when Scar took over the pride.
One theory for Scar sparing Nala is that she's his daughter. The whole point of specifying Scar wasn't Kovu's father is to let viewers know Kovu and Kiara aren't related. As well as Nuka stating his claim to the throne.
Ok but he shouldn't have let her go look for Simba.all he had to do was have her physically restrained by his Hyenas and Simba would never have came also his Hyenas should have eaten that wise monkey dud with his staff that way there's no chance of simbas return and scar wins easily

In a simple Pride Kovoo said Score was not his father.
I believe that vitani is nala’s cub and kovu may be Sarabi and some other lions cub (bc it’s said constantly in TLK2 he’s not scars son) but nuka was defiantly scar and zira’s kid nuka even says it he calls zira mom and he says a line about how he was scars son and I think it was confirmed he was first born to scar and zira but he was too weak and scar didn’t like that so scar chose someone else (something along those lines idk look it up)

My theory, Zira and Scar had cubs but Nuka was the only survivor and was sickly, which meant Scar didn’t want Zira’s cubs to be his heirs. Scar planned on his and Sarafina’s son, Mheetu, being his heir, but Mheetu was killed somehow. Zira hatched a new plan. Scar, by this time, had fathered lots of cubs with the lionesses, so it wouldn’t make sense for his bio son to be his heir bc then who could his son have for a mate if everyone is his half-sister? So Scar would choose a lioness to be the mother of the future queen, and Zira would go get pregnant by some rogue. At this point, Scar umm admired Nala to put it lightly so she was chosen. Zira found a rogue lion who was actually related to the Night Pride from the Lion Guard show. The plan, the son of Zira and the daughter of Scar would be the next King and Queen, Kovu and Vitani. That all changed when Nala found Simba, Scar died, Vitani hated her mother for the betrayal, Kopa was born and Zira killed him and was exiled, and then later Kiara was born and Kovu fell for her, but anyways that was the original plan in my theory
The whole Vitani being Nala's daughter might hold water, given they share the same eye colour.

You're forgetting that darker manes in lions often lead to sterilisation. The heat built up causes this.

I personally think zira was dating scar during his reign so when they had their first cub nuka, scar found nuka weak then they tryed again and had vitani so scar was getting impatient so zira went to go steal a cub from another pride kovu and when she presented him to scar he was pleased but eventually scar was killed and zira killed simbas son sometime after getting exiled along with her kids and end up finding other outcast lioness like her and became a pride leader
Zira explicitly admits in TLK2 that she wanted to be with Scar but he refused to date her and was not interested in her as a potential mate. it's why she's so angry all of the time, and why she insists that Kovu must be trained by her to take Scar's place - it's the only thing she can do, the closest she will ever come, to being with Scar.

Ujasiri (male) and Furaha (female) are the real parents of Kovu, whom they had originally named, Bahati. The Lion Guard: Kovu’s Parental Condition is the 44th episode of Season 56. After learning from Zira that she killed his real parents and took him away from them to raise him into an evil lion like Scar, Kovu can't help but feel too hateful towards the lioness whom he had called his mother for so long that Kiara and Vitani are starting to worry about him.

In the play of the movie there is a song called ‘The madness of king scar’ he wants to mate with Nala but she was like ‘it’s gonna be a no for me chief’ and slaps him before leaving. In the song he was talking abt why no body likes him and asking what did his brother have that he didn’t and then he thought abt a queen. So he went off on a tangent abt getting a queen.
Also lions have a need to mate even if they have some problems going on with each other.

in tlk2 it is specifically stated that kovu isn't scars bio kid, but rather adopted. that's why nuka gets so upset. cause him and vitani are scared kids but because scar the youngest and didnt get to be king he wanted his youngest to be king (meaning kovu since scar adopted him)

The light and dark mane attractiveness is true; however, given their general physique and health, I suspect actual lions in Scar and Mufasa's positions would have had opposite mane colors. Dark manes are usually found on mature and healthy male lions, not underweight or sickly ones.
I have to disagree.. there was a deleted scene of scar wanting to get with Nala. It was going to be a musical number and scar did have kids. Well kids he took in but kids none the less..
I do not think Nuka and Simba are half-brothers. It's just not possible because that means in The Lion King 2, Simba killed his own brother! *DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!* That'd be a plot twist if Simba actually killed a half-brother of his.
Granted Simba killing Nuka was accedental.
Nuka killed himself with turning off his survival instincts for glory that was never his to take. Simba could oneshot him. Nuka's whole character is about him being not strong, smart or healthy in general which means even if he has ambitions he can never fulfill them even if he really gives his best. A sad character many people can relate to honestly.
thinking of Nuka, he has Scars colours and build and Sarabis eye colours (yh ik Zira had red eyes too but hear me out) it would explain why Zira didnt think as highly of him compared to Kovu and Vitani (who are hers but with a different male)

I believe that Vitani is Nala's Cub due to the fact that vitani had to have been kin to the royal family in order to take on the role of the leader of the lion guard which it said that only the royal family can be the leader of the lion guard. Am I not correct

Technically he did when he slashed her for mentioning Mufasa. After the fight, she is never seen again implying she died from her wounds or burned to death in the fire.

I'm pretty sure their was a reunion between Simba & Sarabi after Scar dies & the rain comes after the fire. So I don't think she died until Simba & Nala were parents or TLK2.
This would make a great cartoon follow yp to see Scar and Mufasa and Sarabi as children

I think Nuka is biologically Zira and Scar's son because Zira is overly protective of him. Kovu was Scar's child (possibly from Sarabi) and Vitani was most likely from Zira. There is a deleted scene where Scar wants to marry/have cubs with Nala (but rightfully so, it was taken out) but I don't think their relationship ever got to that extent. But it is possible that Kiara and Kovu are related, through Scar and Sarabi, making Kovu her "uncle."

Sarabi and scar didnt have a cub and probably werent together because mufasa was the larger and stronger of the two despite his lighter mane. Also it is a disney movie and clearly it isnt based entirely off of real life.

Scar and Sarafina had a cub named Mheetu (Nala’s younger brother) and had a cub with Zira named Nuka. So that makes Nuka and Mheetu half brothers.

Well you gotta remember it's been said Disney stole the plot of Lion King from a different script about a white lion.
They go for dominance not color in real life so Mufasa would still be the head Lion. Scar is weak they event hit at it when Mufasa says is that a challenge and Scar backs down! In real life darker maned Lions tend to be more dominant but the dominance is what draws in a mate not the color.
So it means mufasa is dead because scar kills his own brother 😢 so it a little bit scary 😢

Disney aparently studied lions for sometimes before they made the lion king movies. from there you already that what is said in this video is mostly true :/

So most of this does make a bit of sense, except that Scar was obviously the weaker of the two lions. Mufasa was the stronger, despite having a lighter colored mane so it makes sense that Sarabi chose Mufasa over Scar. Strength is everything in lion prides. Yes, a darker mane does signify this, but not if there's something genetically wrong with the lion. Scar was obviously weak from the start despite having the darker mane. Therefore, Mufasa would be favored by the lionesses for his strength.
Now, regarding Lion King 2, Vitani and Nuka are both more likely to be related to Scar. Nuka says "Scar wasn't even his father" when he was referring to Kovu. This implies that both he and Vitani were Scar's children. From how Zira was talking as well, she must have been apart of the Pride at some point during Scar's tyrannical reign over Pride Rock and how she goes on about him in the second movie implie that she was his mate, his Queen if we're sticking to Disney logic.
Now, as to Kovu's genes and why he's stronger than Scar might be because Zira wanted Scar to have a worthy heir and thus sought out a strong, fit lion to secure that heir for Scar due to her devotion to him. Why he's closer in color to Scar is a mystery in of itself but fans speculate that Scar isn't the only lion with that color pallet. There could have been another.
Also, basic genetics in animals, nine times out of ten, the children will take on characteristics of their father. Vitani and Nuka were scrawny with Nuka's color pallet being identical to Scar's own, indicating that Nuka was Scar's true son while VItani resembled her mother more.
As for the connection between Vitani and Nala, I can neither verify nor deny your claim to Vitani having some form of hatred toward Nala while saying that. It's possible, but there's a LOT in these movies Disney never unpacked and have left fans to decide on their own what happened.
However, there IS a deleted scene where Nala had been summoned by Scar and Scar was trying to woo her. Vitani being Nala's daughter COULD be true based off this deleted scene ALONE, except that Nala DENIED Scar. But, if it was playing more by real lion rules, Nala wouldn't have had a say in the matter and Scar would have.....forcefully. You fill in the blanks. :P So that COULD have been the cause for Vitani's hatred toward Nala. It's a possibility, but not concrete.

We see in the lion king Scar is more malnourished than his brother mufasa so in reality even though scar has a darker mane he wouldnt have been attactive to the lionesses as to them he wouldnt be strong and not ideally healthy equalling to unhealthy cubs in the lionesses eyes so they would reject him then there is the fact that all cubs in a lion pride are from one male or in some cases two male brother's so as mufasa is the stongest of the brother's the females would likely accept him and just tolerate scar being around. Its hard to compare the lion king to reality because they dont really act how a animals act in the wild for example scar killed his brother through his smarts not brute strength not saying lions arnt smart but i dont think they plot like scar does lol but
