I like not being a hero for a change and am already forsaken so its all good to me. i expect an asspull on Blizz's part to still somehow "redeem" her or make her see the error of her ways at the end of SL.
Or i might be wrong, we'll see.
@@Noxims47314 She has been kidnapping and experimenting on survivors since vanilla (which came to light thanks to the aftermath of the Wrathgate) and even betrayed the last living army. Sylvanas as a person post-being raised as a banshee doesn't deserve redemption. And even in life she was remarked as vain, unlike her younger brother (I believe the youngest in lore), mother and sisters. Best she could do in my eyes is Revendreth. But knowing how populair Sylvanas is with a certain segment (which Captain Grim constantly mocks in his videos) of our playerbase age wise I'm afraid they will try a redemption. Let her go out the way she was in life and as a banshee, we saw it with Garrosh. In Cata even Alliance could respect him in a strange way. Then Theramore and MoP happend...
@@Finish303 They do have a habit of making characters unlikeable i'll say that much. I have seen the fanboys depicted in the vids and they are funny as hell.
the Forsaken struck out and did terrible things to a world that wants them gone. they continued to experiment on undeath in ways to cure it but also inflict it or outright destroy life through the Blight. as far as i recall Putriss and Varimathras are however the ones who decided to use it on everyone at the Wrathgate. I get what you're saying though. they've burned through alot of characters to turn them into villainous pinata's for us to go clobber. but with a expansion focused on the afterlife i have a hunch we're going to see alot of these characters brought back in one way or another.
@@Noxims47314
Seeing Anduin in HotS feels like the team in WoW mishandled his character. In HotS he's a bit more like a Spiderman King. A bit awkward but good-hearted and sharp. In WoW he's too soft.
@@Noxims47314 I think Blizz writers retconed the fact that it was actually Sylvanas who unleashed the plague during Wrathgate. I might be wrong tho.
Greymane took one look at Varian and knew thats how a king should act and carry themselves. Thats probably why he was always following him around like a little dog (wink wink)
Imagine if they went the route of making Gilneas a raid and Greymane would be a final raid boss and went insane after locking away his kingdom, and having the curse spread. Could have been a really cool and creepy raid.
Vanilla+ server called Turtle WoW added Gilneas recently. In their version of it Gilneas City is a dungeon and Genn is the final boss there
I absolutely love what you're doing with these lore videos. The Warcraft universe is so rich, and this type of format makes it accessible to everyone. Thank you.
16:59 I laughed way too hard at Genn's gasp. It's so over the top.
You make easily the most comprehensive Lore videos ever. keep up the great work!
I remember when Greymane promised to make the alliance pay for that wall
really nice video. i love that you're really getting into these characters when you voice them. it shows how passionate u are about making these, and it also makes learning about WoW lore fun! keep up the great work!
Lol Greymane left the Alliance because he had to contribute to its defense and fork over gold and soldiers. He clearly didn’t understand the meaning of “Alliance!” Everyone else, including Stormwind, did the same thing 😂
It was mostly the expenses of the internment camps that pissed him off, since they were expensive and he was against keeping the orcs alive at all, feeling they should have been executed instead
Really do love the comedy in your storytelling. Thank you for being awesome.
Why is nobody talking about how the real reason genn left the alliance it's because he wanted to kill all the orcs rather than having them in interment camps
3:36 that group 'bruh' pretty much sums up the events of this video
Video quality keeps going up and up. Just impressive
You think we wouldn't notice the Oxhorn reference, but we did!
Aiden Perenolde was actually the most reluctant and Genn only joined because he was called a coward.
Alterac and Gilneas sucks.
@@budakbaongsiah lol alterics rendition in the game was so minor.
@@blakeschroko7838
Well, yeah but I was talking about lorewise.
@@budakbaongsiah I know, I wish alteric got something remotely close to what Gillneas got in game
@@blakeschroko7838 they got a fist full of ogre dookie on their entire civilization
REALLY awesome video, i love wow lore even though i haven't player retail in a long time. And the editing, and animation and voices were LIT!!
I like to shoot the "power of the moon" out when I'm alone.
I need more of this, Platinum.
"Warcraft's Most Incompetent King"
Shots fired.
Likewise, homestuck’s most incompetent
Uh....
Godlike, omniscient cue-ball.
14:35 to be fair, if a wolf asked that question to me before mauling me, I’d be confused to
Well he may be an incompetent King, but he is a good boy!
Playing my worgen rogue currently in Dragonflight. Planning to retake Gilneas soon.
Breaking news : "SYLLLLLLLLVAAAAANAAAAAAS!" has officially becomes a meme.
Man this was really good
Cant wait to rewatch this when baldman reacts to it 3 months from now
Im glad you included ASMONGOLD (16.56) in your video lol
I feel in his defense they did not realized how dangerous orcs wear at the time
Anyone else praying they one day rebuild Gilneas? It's such a gorgeous city. One of the most gorgeous zones in the whole game. I love the dark browns, muted grays and deep forest greens. But outside of the Worgen's starting zone, it serves zero purpose :/
