This one was a bear to make. Honestly I got overwhelmed with it at one point and really had a hard time working on it, but overall I'm happy with the end result. I think I've figured out a new way to work on the videos so I get less overwhelmed with big videos like this one or for characters who have big backstories like Varian or Sylvanas. Hopefully everyone enjoys and thanks for the support in my posts, It means a lot and I look forward to getting more content out for you!
Much appreciated, next up is Vereesa Windrunner. Been wanting to do a video on her for ages, but got caught up with the zone lore so I really wanna get a video on her done and then Sylvanas probably or the Titans and Keepers. Glad you enjoy the content!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it, I learned a lot myself so I’m glad I could tell others about it. Even though it was a pain to get done I’m glad I was able to get it out
Your lore videos are a big part of what is keeping me playing right now. They always inspire me to go out and explore the zones you cover to look for the things you highlight. It's good fun! Being a worgen main this video was even more meaningful for me.
I’m glad I can keep you going, I’m just happy I can get to learn about all this and there is an audience who wants to listen, even to these long ones. Thanks for watching and I’m happy to make them for yah!
Awesome as usual. Great coverage of their story. I know the time and effort you put into these videos, and to create content that equals or exceeds the standards of fully funded studios like you do is nothing short of amazing, Thank you :)
Sadly, when it comes to Alterac we don't have a hell of a lot. Like you mentioned everything we kinda know, like Perenold betrayed the Alliance, Terenis and the other Kings took over his Kingdom until it later collapsed.
I remember se a kid, my favorite race had always been the Worgen, since i loved werewolves and the worgen is what got me into the furry fandom, Warcraft lore, and writing my own characters. This video feels me with nostalgia for some reason
I thought the Reclamation of Gilneas was rather... disappointing. It took Genn out of the spotlight in favor of Lilian and Calia, which I thought was very tone deaf. The writers are more focused on what they want the story to be now, and aren't making sure they create satisfying conclusions to existing story arcs. I don't think this was a good time to talk about how bad a dad Genn was, but to focus on his promise to return, which he made to his son. That talk with Tess could have come later. Genn deserved a bit more triumph after all he's been through. I'm kinda sad at this point after being a HUGE Gilneas fan for so long.
I didn't mind it, but I thought there should be more build up toward Genn giving it to Tess rather than that quest chain, felt it could have done well for a bigger story arc to get the passing of the torch, but I did find the scene good, but just rushed in a sense
I got the impression that Genn was just tired. After his kingdom fell, he joined up with the rest of the Alliance, became Varian Wrynn’s Right hand and essentially took charge as the general of the Alliance’s armies, especially regarding Hordes matters. He saw Varian die. He continued teaching Anduin, helping him become the king he is today. This is what he would have done with his son. He’s was so absorbed by his rage that he couldn’t look any further than his vengeance on the horde, that seems to be his reasoning for not marching on Gilneas sooner. I felt that I could relate to his tiredness. His age, the things he has accomplished, the battles he has lost it’s all just taken its toll, and it was implies that he would have done his usual tactic of shunning the horde’s aid and could have failed his mission. Tess has a fresh more forward thinking mind, so passing it to her made sense. I agree, we should have had a better boss and build up. We should have had a coronation event of Tess becoming Queen of Gilneas. But it wasn’t as bad as some of the Shadowlands stuff.
Beautiful Video, very calming and full of the Information u want to know. But i need to ask what is the backround noise do u have a link my massive headache just said goodbye see ya later xD
Haha I’m glad you enjoyed the video and I’m extra glad your headache went away. I guess it knew that I know the pain of a massive headache and left you once it heard my voice, that’s my best guess lol
I hope Tess is secretly a worgen that be cool, as i love the race. Be weird led by a human leader for a race which i assume most rolled cause the werewolf theme.
All this history with political intrigue and rife with potential and Blizzard made their heritage quest "durr hurr worgen bad even though it's what kept us from going completely extinct" The reclamation storyline is a complete joke compared to some of the storylines that were dropped in the leveling experience alone.

Good job my friend we appreciate your work. The narrating is a 10/10
tyvm :)
I skipped cataclysm and just reclaimed gilneas in retail. So cool to learn the history behind it. Thank you.
I also like that you speculate in the video. Feels a bit more real than all AI content on youtube nowadays.
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it, I learned a lot myself so I’m glad I could tell others about it. Even though it was a pain to get done I’m glad I was able to get it out
The entire Gilnean asthetic matches Genn's character. Archaic, stoic and set in old ways.
Gilneas = Victorian!Great Britain
