Braised Egg Dumplings 炖蛋饺子 Chinese Egg with Pork / Shrimp / Prawn Recipe
Serves 1 greedy pax or 3 - 4 pax

Dumpling filling
---
40g minced pork
40g prawns, de-shelled & de-veined then cut into small pieces
0.5 tsp salt
0.5 tsp young ginger juice
A few dashes of white pepper
1 spring onion stem, chopped
Other ingredients
---
4 eggs, beaten
3 cloves garlic, chopped
300ml water
0.5 tsp chicken stock powder
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp light soy sauce
0.5 tbsp premium dark soy sauce
0.5 tsp sugar
Some cornstarch solution
0.5 tbsp Chinese cooking wine (Shaoxing Huatiao wine)
0.5 tbsp sesame oil
Some chopped spring onions as garnish

Hello there one of my favorite chefs. Hope you are keeping well. Thank you for this uncomplicated yet very delicious recipe. Made it this evening. Followed my wise cousin’s advised (who introduced you to me) I did this in steps. Made the sauce and “marinated” the meat & shrimp mixture in the morning. Then before dinner time I made the parcels (which I got the hang off after the first) and had a super delicious dinner in no time. My 婆婆 used to make this all the time. I ought to give it a shot myself. I like the method used here, folding them in the pan. Sort of a lazy version compared to making them individually in a 殼.

I made it. I had to change up a bit due to allergies and products I actually added tomat to garlic and then water and that was what I braised it. Couldn’t use shrimp either and my dumplings don’t look as uniform but it came our way prettier than I thought it would. We will see if my Asian spouse survives my attempt lol

I love your channel and recipes however the sauces are always the same with the same ingredients. Soy, garlic, ginger, Shaoxing wine, sesame oil etc...can you do a video with some different sauces/flavorings please.
