I had to hastily cut a mention of ‘when we might get the Egghead flashback’ at the end of the script, because the most recent chapters have started it, at a point where things are not looking very good for the characters!
I also wanted to explain why I used a Digimon clip regarding ‘something that made me think things were going to go bad for the Straw Hats’. That Digimon is part of a set themed after the Four Cardinal Beasts, the four colors of which also match the current Four Emperors. The color related to the turtle Digimon has everything to do with one of the probable reasons I think things aren’t going to go well for the Straw Hats this arc.

The definition of Quality over Quantity.
Obviously I do not know the timing of when you started making this video, but I think Kuma's flashback basically kills the idea that the Straw Hats will suffer a major defeat at Egghead in that whatever else we learn from the flashback, Kuma will likely save the Straw Hats, leading to a similar sacrifice moment that we had with Pedro at Whole Cake Island. I also think you undersold the importance of Pedro's and the other sacrifices during that arc and their importance heading into Wano.
I'm sorry I don't see it. Theres just no reason for them to fail here. It looks more like a situation to showcase how different they are from back in Saboady than anything else. This saga right now seems to be mostly about the Yonkou flexing. Them experiencing a huge failure right before meeting Shanks wouldn't feel right either.
Why? Failing and succeeding can happen in the same arc. Failing then succeeding. Like every major arc.
very very good points. I think after the raid failing I just assumed we would simply never get a real defeat til the end and didn't really see how egghead could contain a defeat ... but I think I can see it now. with Kuma's backstory and bonney's "execution" really reminiscent of Zoro's moment in shell's town.

But how is that a defeat? Zoro was saved just like how many people theorize that Kuma will show up to save the Straw Hats. I think it's more so closure than defeat.
Based on where Egghead is currently, I can't see them suffering a great loss there. With Elbaf most likely as the next arc I can't see that making sense either, though I could be wrong since we don't know what that arc will encompass yet. So my two cents is that the loss may involve the blackbeard pirates. The straw hats fight them for the one piece, lose, and then have to go and face them again to claim the treasure, or to keep them from utilizing it in the wrong ways.
I really doubt it tbh, this whole arc seems set to be an inversion of sabaody, and the narrator basically already told us this is going to be a win
It would be really lame for them to lose immediately after becoming Yonko too. Shanks does not want meet a defeated Luffy, he made that clear in Marineford
@@chinuaalibatya7345idk why people are so sure that Shanks and Luffy will meet at Elbaf, I mean didn’t Shanks already said that he’s about to set sail but met with an acquaintance and kid delaying him? So he shouldn’t be in Elbaf anymore by the time Luffy gets there
So I don’t believe Luffy will meet Shanks immediately after if he somehow gets defeated
@@icyu8818. Yeah but Shanks at the end of WCI said they would be meeting soon. Feels weird to delay it by having Luffy lose then meeting Shanks later. It would kill the momentum being built for the final saga in general. They don’t need to meet in Elbaf but they should be meeting around the corner
@@chinuaalibatya7345 obviously Luffy won't be in the defeated/loser guy when they reunite with Shanks as more than likely they'll have more victories before they meet Shanks as the Elbaf arc has so much potential to add to the story, so I could totally see them Losing in Egghead if they don't reunite in Elbaf

I hadn't really even considered that the straw hats might get clapped on egghead, seeing law and kid's defeats before hand felt like setting up the straw hats to win and make it through undefeated in contrast to them
but regardless I'm excited to see how it plays out

It’s amazing what a good storyteller Oda is. When it’s done I truly believe One Piece will be in the all time hall of fame for works of fiction
Even on the micro level I cant really imagine Vegapunk to quote "Going with the Strawhats", like is he gonna be the second inventor type character on the crew or even in the grand fleet just traveling around on his own.
Have you ever considered going through World trigger's or noragami's manga on the nen show cast.
All i know is dragon or some revolutionaries are coming to egghead after this flashback
I'm not the biggest fan of one piece but on all of anitube i think your videos explain the good points of one piece in the best way. I've watched too many videos that talk in general terms like "fantastical worldbuilding" or something else. Zoro was probably my least favourite character until i watched your video and realised i wasnt looking ag his fights the right way. Keep it up ❤ glad you're back. 👍

I doubt they'll ever lose the way they lost at Soboady ever again. I think Wano was the last chance for something like that but since it didn't i doubt it ever will happen

idk why you guys want them to lose again so badly, other problem with this and Wano raid failing is there needs to be a bigger thing to be lost, before it was Ace and if Luffy is ever gonna lose someone close to him again it's probably Shanks next
Craft i love your op content but for the love of god don‘t fuel this fire. Me personaly just want to see the sh win. I love op but it needs to end another defeat another roadblock and thats like 10+ more years of op down the line….
Egghead won't end in defeat since they're Yonkou they need to show that they're able to dominate the situations since they're ready now
