  • Brief test of the Siemens GTO-VVVF inverter soundscript for my E501 Series.
    Needs a bit of refinements and some volume adjusting, but i'm pretty happy how it turned out.
    The E501 Series will be released soon on my website, as part of the "JR East 209 Series megapack".

    I noticed an error with the SEPTA ACS-64 model, as its numberboards read "610" instead of "910".
    Also, have you considered making the Amtrak special interest ACS-64s sometime in the future? (642; Veterans Unit, 662; AEM-7 Phase III Train Sim World wrap, etc)

      Also, both the Amtrak and SEPTA ACS-64 models on your site have Hybrid K5LAs instead of 3rd Gen K5LAs

      @@Benthetrainkid I've fixed the road number indicators - the correct version is now available on my website.
      About the horn, i've used one "off-the-shelf" ready from the DLS. Feel free to change it to something more accurate.
      If you do, please inform me so i'll proceed to change the hornsounds of both ACS-64 versions available on my website.
      About the special and heritage variants, i actually don't plan to make either of the two, since they have a complex livery and there are relatively few usable references available.

      @@Socimi I was wondering if you plan on making the Metroliner cab cars anytime soon

      @@Benthetrainkid
      Originally, i did plan to make the cab cars (and the "Michigan Coaches") as well right after the Metroliners, however i later choose not to as my metroliner model is actually slightly different from the existing Amfleet cars (mine are a tad lower if i'm not wrong) and overall it simply doesn't match the other cars in terms of textures.
      In other words, i needed to make a complete Amfleet pack as well (something that i'm not ruling out for the future, but it's not really a priority for me right now) if i were to release the cab cars.
      I did actually do a few tests (including a half-finished cab car version) but then scrapped the whole thing altogheter.
      As i said, i'm not ruling out an Amfleet+Cab Car pack, but i won't be making it anytime soon.

    are the trains on your website all for trainz simulator 2019?

    • @Socimi
      @Socimi  5 місяців тому

      Generally yes, but they are compatible up to Trainz 22 and above, and likely are also with versions down to Trainz 2012.

    VFD not VVVF. Variable Frequency Drive. It spins the motor by adjusting the frequency of the AC phase.

    • @Socimi
      @Socimi  Рік тому +1

      VFD and VVVF are almost synonimous. I prefer to use "VVVF" (Variable Voltage, Variable Frequency) as it is more widespread (as "VFD" only exists marginally in the anglosphere) and is more eloquent as it better describes the workings: to power a three-phase AC motor with meaningful parameters for the need of railways (alas, an inverse speed-torque relation, with high torque at low speeds) you need to variate both the frequency as well as the voltage (hence VVVF - Variable Voltage, Variable Frequency) and not just "VFD" (Variable Frequency Drive).

    i'm having a problem with the dependencies of the Seibu 9000 series, i've got 4 unknown assets (using the most up to date version of TRS19.)
    would you perhaps know what they are and where i would get them?

    • @Socimi
      @Socimi  2 роки тому

      They are these ones.
      drive.google.com/file/d/1s4xRUKUm6IpB1Uu5ZqnuFvsu6nboj9t3/view?usp=sharing
      They must be leftovers in the "Kuid Table" part of the config, as none of them is directly related to the Seibu 9000 Series.
