That's sounds great, because as you've heard those trains use the Siemens GTO-VVVF motors like the Keikyu 2100 Series the singing train, the Siemens C651, the CPTM 3000 Series, the Daegu Subway Red train and the Taipei Metro C321.
@@imaginox9 Only one left as of now though. They're being retrofitted one by one, interior upgrades (new LEDs etc.) and other system thingamabobs. Also means no more scales being played while departing.
@@johnsappleseed That's sad honestly. Luckily there are still the E501 trains that have the same VF sound (and they also play the scales backwards when it stops unlike the Keikyu one)
The onboard video of CPTM Series 3000 was recorded by me, in 2016. Sorry for the bad audio quality, I had an awful camera 4 years ago, and I've done some railway videos just for fun. You're welcome to my channel to see many other models of São Paulo subway and CPTM (including the original version of the recording, with a little Series story in English) :)
Word, the last train may have been the keikyu n1000. Idk what happened to the keikyu 600 series. Tbh though Japan still has trains with nice motor sounds anyways so it's not so bad. But I do miss GTO. also you can programme IGBT to sound like GTO, But not sure why it doesn't happen
interesting how the Japan one used a nice rising scale at even tempo. The Brazil one skips a few notes. The Taiwan one uses just two. The South Korea and Singapore ones don't change at all.
Same with our R160B-2. She has the second generation motor to this one, Siemens IGBT-VVVF. She’s gorgeous and sounds just as gorgeous, and even howls like her older brother, R68.
so sad that in my country we never had siemens, instead we use bombardier gto-vvvf and mitrac, and it is utterly below our expectation that they accelerate so slowly and unstable, even when compared to the second hand hitachi vvvf powered metro

just to be clear here that Keikyu is NOT a subway train.
It's been officially a commuter railway.

For this type of metro trains the Siemens brand is the most stable because it is very smooth. And I'm allergic to the Kawasaki metro train. 🤣

Angry (and dead) C151 noises
Siemens is always "stable" (more durable if anything at all). *Way more so than the cheap crap we import from a certain country nowadays*
KEIKYU!!good sound!
Both Siemens C651 and Daegu Metro series 1000 motors are also almost simliar to the Kawasaki Heavy Industries C151 Mitsubishi GTO motors.
it is CRIMINAL how the siemens taurus (ES64U1 and ES64U2) are not included in this compilation

Personal favourite is the C321

For Siemens CPTM 3000 series the track friction noise is too loud that covers the motor sound
