Wouldn’t it be nice to be your neighbor and pop in , sit at your table and say “pass the dinner rolls please “.. thank you for sharing this yummy recipe..
Ruthanne, we would be thrilled to have you as one of our neighbors. We hope you try this yeast roll recipe and enjoy it as much as we do. Thanks for being a part of our UA-cam family.
Received my copy of your cookbook last week, and just love it! Very nicely done, too! Nobody will be disappointed in it, that’s for sure! So happy you put it together for us! I know it took a lot for time!
I have really been intimidated of making yeast rolls. I just felt like I could never get them right and to be honest scared. I watched your video which I love watching yall's videos. I'm gonna do it. You just show it in a no mess up way. Thank yall for showing a scary cat like me how to make yeast rolls. And by the way I would sure love to come sit at yall's table!!
So easy to make and so delicious. I tasked my daughter with making these today while I was at church. Gave her the video with receipe and got her as far as the yeast bloomed. After 1st rise she rolled out the dough and cut with my pizza cutter. They turned out absolutely delicious. She was very proud of herself for someone who never makes much from scratch and never rolls or bread.
In 2001, one of our granddaughters (who is 28 now) attended an elementary school that served the best rolls I had ever eaten. When I asked the lunchroom crew about them, the sweet lady who made them graciously shared the recipe with me. It is almost exactly like the one you posted, except shortening rather than lard (only 1/4 cup), a slightly different amount of flour and no egg at all. You are not kidding that the rolls are absolutely the very best! I didn't think to ask the lady her name at the time, but I saw an obituary last year and vaguely thought, "Hmmm, I might know that lady." I read the obit, and sure enough it mentioned she worked a few years AT A SCHOOL CAFETERIA, and she was famous with friends and family for HER ROLLS. I am so glad I was visiting the school during the time she worked there and very thankful to stumble upon her obituary and finally know her name. God has his ways! Rest in peace, dear Janice, and thank you so much for the recipe. And thank you guys for sharing with everyone what I'm sure is almost exactly the same. Those who try it won't be disappointed. As a side note, my beloved grandmother shared the butter/molasses thing with me when I was a child, except with biscuits. Thanks for the memory. ❤
Wow another amazing recipe. They look delicious. You two are a beautiful couple. I love the way you guys are with each other. I've been watching you guys for at least a year. But it was just within the last month that I started leaving comments. I was married for 36 wonderful years. But unfortunately my husband passed away January 2024. You guys cheer me up. I love you guys.

Thank you so much for your condolences. He will definitely be in my heart for as long as I'm alive. My husband, son and myself we were always together as a family. Thank you for taking the time to respond to me. Melissa, you and Tom are amazing people. I'm so glad that I started leaving comments. You listen and you care. I always look forward to seeing the next video. God bless you both. Thank you so much.
This video made me cry. I've not seen anyone do the molasses and the butter on a yeast roll since my father passed away. Thank you for the sweetest of memories 💗
Mitzi, I am so glad that our video brought back such precious memories for you. Your dad will always be with you as long as you carry his memory in your heart. Thank you for being a part of our UA-cam family.
Sorghum molasses has always been in my parents home! I loved it my whole life so I always jar a jar. In Alabama you can get it at the Fruit Stand at the Redlight middle of town the really large fruit stand in Loxley Alabama for South Alabama ! In Huntsville there are numerous Sorghum farms all around the country. They usually have a horse walking in a circle at that farm but they do cook it there! And running the sorghum through something that smashes the stalks and gets the juice out to begin making pure Sorghum. If it’s mixed with other syrup it’s not good like the pure Sorghum so careful what you buy! It’s also very healthy and cures coughs and sore throats! Now that’s not medically said so just take it as a side thought!
This sounds just like the same recipe my Mom used. She too was a Ministers' wife. My Dad was an Episcopalian Priest. My mom would make these rools, only she rolled the up as butterhorns. She would put them in bags of six. Her famous rolls would be sold before she could even make it in the door. She is gone now but, my brothers and me make them.
About 60 years ago I worked for a baker. One day he took onion yeast rolls out of the oven and put hot sliced ham on those rolls. OHH my goodness!! My daddy did butter and molasses and that's how he taught me and my son. ❤
My grandmother used to make the best dinner rolls that were softball size. It took me years to figure how she did it. I now use a bread machine for the dough. After she passed away an aunt told me she switched to frozen bread dough for the last few years. She had trouble seeing in her last years .
Diana, there is nothing better than food made with love. I have no doubt that your grandma‘s rolls were packed full of love for her family. Thank you for being a part of our UA-cam family.
I miss the Amish and Mennonite stores in Kentucky. Loved to get my spices, meats and cheeses from them. I had cow shares too and got my milk and cream from them too and made butter and ice cream from it. There was a guy that did salt cured ham for me too. Oh and the fried pies of my. I bought a carrot cake from on Amish lady it was amazing. I weighed it once it was 5 lbs. she only charged my $6 for those cakes. She was the same lady that taught me how to quilt. They are always so kind and loving people. Wish some of these other people out here in the world had their loving hearts.
My Mom, whom I miss so much, made the best yeast rolls but I never learned how. THANK Y'ALL SO MUCH for this! I could cry!! Can't wait to make these for my guys & me. 💜
Holly, I’m so glad our video brought back such wonderful memories of your mom. She’ll be right there with you in spirit when you make these yeast rolls. We hope you and your guys enjoy them very much. Thank you for being a part of our UA-cam family.
Hey, Sherry! It’s good to hear from you. Melissa just showed me the picture you texted to her a day or two ago. I agree with you that molasses and butter on bread is a true southern treat! Yum!
We always had biscuits & rolls with butter & sorghum molasses & or honey. Sometimes if grandma didn’t have sorghum or honey she would just put sugar on the hot buttered roll . Yummy Grampa would bring in the country ham from the smokehouse & grandma would put it in a lard stand with hot water to clean off the mold & salt. Then he would slice it off with a big butcher knife & grandma would fry it up & make red eye gravy. Best eating in the world !!!!
Well thank you! I just finished watching the entire video and you have given me the perfect contribution to my daughter's Christmas dinner. Her family loves rolls and this will be such a treat for the entire family. You explain things so well and I love how you have all the ingredients set up before hand. And an added bonus...Melissa gives us the written recipe! Perfect!! Oh, you brought back such memories of my daddy fixing syrup and butter together to eat with his biscuits. I never knew that was as thing.🥰
Rena, I know your family is going to absolutely love the homemade yeast rolls for Christmas dinner. We hope your time together as a family is extra special this Christmas. Thank you for being a part of our UA-cam family.
I’m so appreciative that you made this video!! I’ve always been intimidated about making bread!!! I’m 73! I live in S. Louisiana. My mom made rolls and my dad loved Steens Cane Syrup with his (a Louisiana product). We were a family of 11 children so you can imagine how hard it was to feed that many hungry little kids! But I have no memories of ever not having enough to eat
The lunchroom ladies in my little country school made the best yeast rolls I’ve ever had in my life. These look just like them: bigger than your fist and lighter than air. Great job!
My grandpa, Daddy All had biscuits, molasses or homemade jam. You make me happy!! Brought me down memory lane. NC is a great place to be raised. God bless 🙏
We had a lady at our church that made rolls every Thursday for Ladies Aid. The ladies quilted all day and brought a dish to share. The men would come in from the fields for lunch and they would all sit down and eat together. Virginia did not quilt but boy or boy could she make the BEST rolls. Thanks for sharing this recipe. It brought back such wonderful memories. My Dad and Grandpa mixed butter and sorghum for their rolls. Makes me teary thinking back.
My Aunt used to make Yeast Rolls for Breakfast almost everyday. Always wished I would've gotten her recipe over the years, but I was young in school & never thought to ask her for it while she was still alive!! Sad thing is, apparently NO one in family asked for it either!! Your recipe looks about as close as its gonna get & I'll have to try it sometime!!! Can't wait to Taste those Old Memories again!! 🤔🫣😉
Samuel, my strong Appalachian accent and heritage come shining through once again in a video. 😂 I spent many years of my life detesting my accent, but now I am proud to be from Appalachia and proud to carry that accent with me when Melissa and I travel. I appreciate that you appreciate my accent! Thanks for being a part of our UA-cam family.
Oh don’t wish away your beautiful heritage!!! I can’t wait to make these rolls. I have a Kansas Butterhorn roll recipe that my family has loved for years. Two of my granddaughters a make them as good or better than mine. So excited they want to carry on the tradition! I am going to try these rolls! They look so very good!
Not only did Nancy bless you with the recipe, she blessed you with some wonderful memories!! Thank you for sharing with us! May God continue to bless you both as you bless us!
I cannot tell you how grateful I am for you and your recipe and video!! I have been TRYING for so long to bake the perfect buns, and after watching this, I went to the kitchen, and followed your directions!! If you heard a loud squeeling sound about a half an hour ago, that was me with my PERFECT buns! I was sooooo excited, I took them out of the oven, wrapped them up in a big towel, and drove over to my sister's house to show her! She was so surprised, and of course, wanted the recipe. I told her the story about the woman who gave you the recipe, and told her I couldn't share it ahahahaha. Thank you soooooo much!! 😁😄😁😆😄 👍👍👍👍
These rolls look so much like a pillow of goodness.. Why is it that we wait for the Holidays to enjoy something so yummy..I can’t wait to make these, ordering my lard now…Oh wait, I’ve got to find country ham.. My daughter and son in law are bee keepers so the honey is ready for my rolls..Thank you for this special recipe and don’t forget to “ Put A Lid On It “…
I received your cookbook yesterday. I spent hours poring over the mouth-watering recipes that use everyday ingredients. This is the BEST cookbook. I feel so blessed to have all these wonderful recipes in one place.
Great recipe. Thank you for sharing. I worked in a school cafeteria and I made hundreds of yeast rolls every day. I also used the same recipe for cinnamon rolls . They were so good. This recipe is very similar to the cafeteria recipe, just different quantities. You are a joy to watch. You really love food.
Thank you for your kind words, Jane. After teaching in an elementary school for almost 30 years, I can tell you that cafeteria yeast rolls are fabulous! Unfortunately, they stopped making them from scratch the last 10 years or so of my tenure. Mrs. Schubert’s Rolls took over and it never was the same. We are very happy to have you as part of our UA-cam family.
I am going to have to make a batch of those rolls when I am having guests. They remind me of the delicious, homemade rolls that the cooks in the small high school in Western Kansas made for us several times per week for our lunches during the time that I taught there from the mid-1980s through the early-1990s. That small high school in Natoma, Kansas will always be my most memorable position - only about 90 students in the entire high school at the time.
Love yeast rolls! These sure would taste good with chicken and dressing with giblet gravy. Heaven on a plate! My husband is the bread maker in our family,so I think he would enjoy making these for Thanksgiving.
I'm trying to find the recipe now I would love to make these for Thanksgiving I haven't made bread for a while but I sure would love to make these also would love to get your cookbook
Okay Tom, I've always been afraid to even try my hand at yeast rolls but with watching your step-by-step instructions, I will try now. My Mom made the best and she's been gone 20 years. My family will be shocked when I show up with a pan of "Tom's Rolls"!!! Thank you
Thank you for sharing this recipe! My dad always made those rolls every Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. Oh the smell..my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I believe I told you he was born in West Virginia and then they moved to Kentucky. I have a very strong accent I inherited from him then I grew up in Pittsburgh. Quite a combination! 😂 I can still hear him say “Go help your mom do the deeshes baby doll” lol. Thank you for the memories. ❤ I’m sorry I haven’t been in lately, I was told my cancer screening test came back positive and abnormal. I live alone and have no family close by so I’ve been having a hard time. I’m trying to think positive and as always, I’ve turned to prayer.
I'm excited I just ordered your guyses cookbook thank you for making your cookbook I love cookbooks I got a big selection of every kind of cookbook I love to cook that's why
Yeast (smelling and eating) is the best!! If somebody offered me my choice between one of those big homemade rolls and a piece of cake, I'd take the roll every time! Mercy, those look good. I like rolls with NOTHING on them. Butter is good, but nothing is better. I want to taste the roll, not what has been added to it. Years ago a friend gave me a recipe for cream cheese braids and I wanted to crawl into the oven! So good! Edit: Well, the rolls did it. I just ordered your cookbook. Ordered 3; one for me, two more for gifts, Blessings to you!
My aunt made these rolls. She would fry bacon, country ham, and onion…diced very small. She would stuff the inside of the rolls with the bacon ham onion mixture and bake. Delicious
I am from Alabama. We have biscuits with butter and Golden Eagle Syrup. I live in Louisiana now and family brings s stash of syrup to me and my daughters!!
When I worked at the main bank downtown (you know which one, Tom), Miss Nancy would bring her Country Ham Rolls there every Courtday. I believe they were only $1, but this was in 1985. They were fantastic. How blessed you are to have been given her recipe.❤️
Can’t wait to make these, they look delicious! Thank you for sharing! Being a Kentucky girl I love seeing people from Ky on here sharing the old recipes our ancestors grew up on.
I am 72 yrs old and have always wanted to make fresh homemade rolls for holiday dinners. Have never tried it yet. I believe watching you, I think I will give it a try this year. I love your channel and your down home recipes. Thank you for another great recipe
My mother in law made the best dinner rolls ‘ she used cake yeast from the local bakery(1lb at a time )the dough was so soft to a sticky bubbly dough could barely pinch it off into balls I love homemade rolls ! God Rest her soul Geneva Howard
Dollie, what a wonderful memory of your mother-in-law. I’m sure that “love” was the special ingredient in her rolls. Thank you for being a wonderful part of our UA-cam family.
This is the best bread recipe I have ever used, Yes I not only use this recipe for rolls but I also use it for bread, cinnamon buns and to today tried it to make donuts, oh my god I have never had such good donuts. I rolled them in cinnamon sugar. Soooo good
I made these Sunday for my family,17 of us, children, grandchildren. They were so soft and fluffy. Though I didnt try them, bc I lost my taste, yet I heard from them of how good they were. Thanks Tom and Melissa!
I see now that I’m going to have to move closer to y’all’s part of Kentucky because I want to live closer to y’all and eat at your place as much as possible ! I just love your recipes and I’ve learned so much from watching your channel thank you so much for sharing all of these wonderful recipes with us .
Hey Mr. Tom, I was craving Yeast Rolls!!! So I said I am going to find " COME SIT AT MY TABLE" with Mr. Tom and Melissa!!! Oh my word!!! GOD ANSWERED my Prayer!!! 🙏❤ My kitchen SMELLS like A Little piece of HEAVEN!!! I am sharing your video!!! The Yeast Rolls are ABSOLUTELY YUMMY Delicious 😋 I THANK GOD for Mrs. Nancy sharing this Recipe with you and you sharing it with us!!!🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️ GOD Loves Y'all and SO do I !!!!
I love how you share these 'Golden Heirloom Recipes' with us. Tom and Melissa are the best! Thank you both, so much! And I am so grateful Mrs. Nancy gifted you her recipe. I can see these rolls being made a little larger in size and separated enough to fully expand into some great hot dog rolls or hamburger buns for a Summer cookout. Thank you for all that you do! Be safe, take care and have a wonderful weekend! 😊❤🙏
I could almost smell and taste those rolls. The topper was the molasses and butter. I hadn’t thought of that in forever. My Dad used to do that. Thank you.❤
Tom I don’t know if y’all had a Quincy’s Steakhouse or not. They had some of the best yeast rolls and offered honey butter to spread on them. OMG! That was mighty fine eating. My great grandmother worked in the lunchroom at the local school and she learned the recipe on how to make the rolls and we would have them on holidays. Such a good trip down memory lane.
Oh my goodness! It is torture watching you taste these wonderful rolls! My mom made yeast rolls every Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter! The smell in our house was simply sublime. Those were the days! Thank you for sharing this recipe. I will be trying this recipe this Thanksgiving. Thank you!! 😊
My mom used to make yeast rolls all the time and she’d even tuck a little bit of cheese inside of them. It was a recipe from my great aunt Edna, who passed away many years ago. My mom passed away in October of last year and we could not find her recipes so when I was online today, I wanted to find one that was as close to what my aunt had and that my mom used to make. So this one looks like as close as possible to my mom‘s recipe. You gotta get those recipes from long ago because they knew how to cook. My aunt Edna also lived in Kentucky, so I’ll bet you this is pretty close to the recipe that my aunt had. Thank you so much. I like also that it’s a larger recipe because I’m feeding my family for Thanksgiving and they will love these rolls.
I’m going to try this recipe. THANK YOU for saying you can let your mixture knead the dough. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family and everyone. Let’s hope we can put hatred and division aside and unite for our beautiful country.
OMG !!! I wanted to try this recipe before Thanksgiving. I can't believe how good the rolls turned out. This was by far the easiest roll recipe I've ever tried. This one gets a star of approval. I can't wait to bake these next Thursday. So delicious and fluffy. Yummy
I just LOVE the two of you! And we have that little "Princess" bite and then comes the "Tom" bite. So cute! You are both amazing people, and I am so blessed to have found you. It was about this time last year. Anyway both of you take care, and God bless you!
I salute you Melissa. You are much stronger than me. All twenty-two wouldn't have remained had I been there. 😉 Thank you Tom for sharing this and for the tip about pouring the ingredients onto the side of the bowl so as to not disturb the yeast fermentation.
These rolls look amazing! I Just received your cookbook the other day. I was very surprised to see that it was well over 400 pages, and I can't wait to try some of these recipes. God bless!
I am so glad that I watched this video. A year or so ago I made yeast rolls, most likely the Rhoads, frozen, and as soon as I took them out of the oven, I had my daughter-in-law take them out of the pan. We did not let them rest first. And oh my gosh, they certainly did deflate.😂😂
Hey Mr. Tom and Mrs. Melissa, My mouth is watering!!! Those yeast rolls are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! And that Country Sliced ham is the Best ever!!! Plus the butter and molasses........Oh my word....... Thank you so very much for sharing this Yummy Delicious recipe with us😋 GOD LOVES Y'ALL !!! And SO DO I !!!!
I do remember when I was a kid seeing adults mix molasses and butter together and eat it on a biscuit. I haven't tried it because I am not a fan of molasses, but maybe I will try it with honey. That brought back another old memory of seeing adults cooling their coffee by pouring it from their coffee cup into the saucer and sipping it from the saucer! I received my cookbook a couple weeks ago and have already dog eared several pages. So far everything I have cooked from it has been delicious. Rolls are next on my list to try!
Oh wow...these remind me of my mother in law's yeast rolls, she would send them to us every Christmas from Indiana. She's in memory care now and this made me think of her. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe 😊
Mom used to take a cold stick of butter right out of the fridge and use the square end to gently rub all over the tops of the hot-out-of-the-oven rolls. Easy Peasy and no mess!
She would peel the paper back on the stick of butter, about half way down, so she wouldn’t get butter on her fingers. Then wrap the butter back up and put it back in the fridge.
These look delicious! I just got your cookbook today from Amazon! I was so excited to come home and tear into my package :). You did such a nice job! I gave you a 5 star review just now on Amazon. Everyone who likes your channel should get your book, if possible. There are literally hundreds of recipes, so you do get your money's worth and then some with the book!
Thank you so much for all your thorough expiations of everything! I’m a new baker and I’ve read so many ways of how to do all this but you’re the first that explains it all. Thank you so much! It’s so helpful.
You released this at the perfect time. My family had been trying to make yeast rolls for the past couple of weeks with no success. Today we tried our hand at this recipe and they turned out so well. This will be a staple during the big holidays, thank you.
OH MY GOSH! I wish I had smell-a-vision. I love homemade rolls. Thank you for all the great recipes. Your cookbook is on the way, can't wait to get it. ❤❤
I want to try making these Sunday. I have some bread flour I need to use. Can I use that in this recipe? I have made several of y'alls recipes and every one has turned out delicious! Thank you for all of your time and hard work putting out these videos. I don't comment often, but I do watch pretty much all of them.
You are correct about ending a meal with something sweet. My Grandpa ended a meal of anything served with rice, having a bowl of rice with cinnamon, sugar.with cream. He wouldalso pour sips of his hot coffee into the sa7cer, drink it off the saucer and proceed likewise with the rest . i can still see him doing this (im 79 this year btw) Thanks for your great channel💕
Those rolls look amazing Tom. Thank you and Melissa and Pam for sharing this recipe and showing us how easy they are to prepare. Stay safe and keep up the great videos. Fred.
Wow! So quick story. My great grandmother was famous for her yeast rolls too. They were famous in her area and she sold them at church bake sales. Her recipe was passed down but it was written in shorthand and we couldn't exactly replicate them. Fast forward 20 years I was flilpping through a cookbook she had learned to cook from as a young wife and found the yeast rolls. She had taken two printed recipes and mixed them and made them her own from the best I could tell. It all clicked and what a fun story. All that to say is your recipe is nearly identical to hers. Hers is a double batch for making a second round later in the week and it's made with a sponge so it more resembles sour dough. I know your rolls are fabulous because my grandma's are too. Thank you for your amazing recipes. I have become a fan of your passion
Jenny, we really loved reading your story! Our grandmothers and great grandmothers were wonderful role models for us in the kitchen. They had a tremendous "feel" for cooking. We so appreciate that you are a part of our channel. Thank you for joining us at the table.
Your "sigh" at the end of a bite says it all. Thx for the recipe. It reminds me of my Aunt Maxine and the yeast rolls she'd make only for special occasions. ❤
@ I’m always excited to see what delicious food you are going to make next ..
Exactly!
Received my copy of your cookbook last week, and just love it! Very nicely done, too! Nobody will be disappointed in it, that’s for sure! So happy you put it together for us! I know it took a lot for time!

Can you make these these rolls with whole wheat flour
@@BerthaWashington-j8h Sorry to say I don't know. My thoughts are they would be much more dense instead of light and fluffy.
@RiverCrockett-in7bg But W.W. is so tasty and practically GOOD for you, especially if the flour was warm and just barely milled before mixing.
@@nancyarchibald9095 I was just commenting they might not turn out light and fluffy like the original recipe.
Wow another amazing recipe. They look delicious.

My Father also was a huge fan of molasses with his rolls and biscuits. I miss him. I'm the last of my family. Interesting place to be at 67.
We use to mash the butter and syrup together to place on the rolls

Holly, I’m so glad our video brought back such wonderful memories of your mom. She’ll be right there with you in spirit when you make these yeast rolls. We hope you and your guys enjoy them very much. Thank you for being a part of our UA-cam family.
There are UA-camrs that are warm hugs and the two of you are warm hug UA-camrs
Molasses and butter is exactly how my family ate biscuits at the end of the meal! That’s true Southern eating at it’s best!!!
Bob white syrup and butter
Hey, Sherry! It’s good to hear from you. Melissa just showed me the picture you texted to her a day or two ago. I agree with you that molasses and butter on bread is a true southern treat! Yum!
We always have butter and sorghum
I could tell as you took the first bite of country ham and roll you were enjoying not only
It but the memory of having it all those years ago.😊
We always had biscuits & rolls with butter & sorghum molasses & or honey. Sometimes if grandma didn’t have sorghum or honey she would just put sugar on the hot buttered roll .
Yummy
Grampa would bring in the country ham from the smokehouse & grandma would put it in a lard stand with hot water to clean off the mold & salt.
Great job!
My lunchroom ladies did too. I’m 82 and still can taste those rolls! Pure sweet love!
My grandpa, Daddy All had biscuits, molasses or homemade jam. You make me happy!! Brought me down memory lane. NC is a great place to be raised. God bless 🙏
You never know what's the best the rolls are the memories
We had a lady at our church that made rolls every Thursday for Ladies Aid. The ladies quilted all day and brought a dish to share. The men would come in from the fields for lunch and they would all sit down and eat together. Virginia did not quilt but boy or boy could she make the BEST rolls. Thanks for sharing this recipe. It brought back such wonderful memories. My Dad and Grandpa mixed butter and sorghum for their rolls. Makes me teary thinking back.
Those rolls with the lard have to be unbelievably delicious & dangerous!!! Thanks for the recipe!!!
love how you say "greazzzed bowl"
😁😄😁😆😄
👍👍👍👍
These rolls look so much like a pillow of goodness.. Why is it that we wait for the Holidays to enjoy something so yummy..I can’t wait to make these, ordering my lard now…Oh wait, I’ve got to find country ham.. My daughter and son in law are bee keepers so the honey is ready for my rolls..Thank you for this special recipe and don’t forget to “ Put A Lid On It “…
This makes me cry. My dad did this. He loved it.
Thank you for sharing this recipe and thank you to your friend for being a sharer ❤
You’re so welcome, Mary Ann. We hope you give it a try and enjoy the rolls as much as we do. Thanks for watching!
@tomwyant9297 your very welcomed. Happy Thanksgiving cooking🥰
Oooo the smell of fresh bread baking, I love fresh out of the oven yeast bread, YUMMY! Pass the butter!
I’m sorry I haven’t been in lately, I was told my cancer screening test came back positive and abnormal.
You forgot to mention one ingredient as you were mixing! LOVE! That is what makes homemade bread the best! I love to make rolls.
I just ordered your cook book looking forward to using your recipes
Your Rolls remind me of Elementary School Days back in the late 70’s 😂😂😂and They Were Absolutely Delicious 😊😊
We are happy that you are watching our channel and we know that you will have great success with this recipe! Enjoy the rolls! And happy Thanksgiving!
Soooo good
When you started mashing butter and molasses it almost brought tears to my eyes. So many memories came flooding back. Thank you both.
I love your recipe book! I read it for hours at a time! Thank you for writing this book!
Love your cookbook! Ive written some of my other favorites of yours in the book, too, for easy reference! Spiral is nice!

The Yeast Rolls are ABSOLUTELY YUMMY Delicious 😋 I THANK GOD for Mrs. Nancy sharing this Recipe with you and you sharing it with us!!!🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️ GOD Loves Y'all and SO do I !!!!
I just made these, and they are delicious! It was the first time I ever made dinner rolls. This is a great video, thank you so much for posting this.
My papaw always mixed soft butter with Golden Eagle Syrup. I skipped the butter & just ate the syrup, or sometimes mixed it with peanut butter. Yum!!
I could almost smell and taste those rolls. The topper was the molasses and butter. I hadn’t thought of that in forever. My Dad used to do that. Thank you.❤
Same here. My Dad would do sorghum molasses and butter and put on biscuits and on cornbread. 😊
Mr, the way you teach and explain...you've made a believer out of me!!!
Will be making these tomorrow ❤
I make my yeast rolls only for Thanksgiving and Christmas.I bake them@350 for 15 minutes 🥰
Let’s hope we can put hatred and division aside and unite for our beautiful country.
my granddddy mixed the butter and molasses as well. Mom loved the saved ham, and that was from her dad
Thank you for showing us how easy it is to make these delicious rolls. Just in time for the holidays.
Those look fantastic thanks for sharing❤
Just ordered your cookbook. Excited to start trying some of your recipes!
I hope to make those wonderful rolls for Thanksgiving, Lord willing.
You make it look so easy and you brought back some really special memories for a lot of viewers! Thanks to both of you!❤❤
Thanks for sharing 😊I can’t believe thanksgiving and Christmas is right around the corner have a blessed day Tom and Melissa 🙏
I am enjoying your cookbook. Looking forward to making these rolls. I am glad to see that you are left handed like me.
When I was a kid, I mixed butter with maple syrup. Wow! So good! I’ll be making these rolls. Great job!
Fantastic! Going to try this!!
@@lorrainelawton8942 me too!
Sure bring back memories, my Mom made yeast rolls every Saturday, miss you Mom ,and now I make Artisan bread everyweek
My mouth watered this whole video... tomorrow these will be baking in my kitchen...thank you ! I love your videos .
Rolls look awesome .. thank you for all your wonderful recipes !!
Love your channel Tom and Melissa !!
You both are the Sweetest Tom & Melissa❤thank you for sharing your videos❤🎉
Just ordered your cookbook. Thanks for all your hard, yet yummy work. Thanks, Melissa, for always having the recipes available with the video.
MY MOMMY MADE THEM BUT I NEVER GOT THE RECIPE. NOW I DO AND I LOVE YOU TWO FOR GIVING IT TO ME!!!
OH MY GOSH! I wish I had smell-a-vision. I love homemade rolls. Thank you for all the great recipes. Your cookbook is on the way, can't wait to get it. ❤❤
I just orderd your cookbook! I can’t wait to get it! You have some of the best recipes. ♥️
My grandfather mixed dark karo syrup and butter together in Tuscumbia, Alabama. Such a great thing on southern buttermilk biscuits
