Hi Scott. Great vids. I got myself this very Grow It kit for Christmas. I started 3 pots off on the 1st of Jan and followed all of the steps as stated in the booklet. This coming Sunday will be 6 weeks in the fridge (after 2.5 weeks by the window).. and I'm still not seeing and sign of growth from what I can see through the air tight bags. What would you recommend I try and do next? I'm very curious to see how yours are coming along? When is the next episode? Cheers
Perforate I did not. I'm a total amateur, whoops! Well, I've taken them out of the fridge now and out of the bags and stuck them out on my apartment balcony. My thoughts being maybe a bit of open air and rain water will bring them back around.. but what do I know aha. I'm actually thinking about trying to grow some different types but not being from a kit. I'll use up my last bag of seeds first though and keep an eye on the others. I will let you know how I get on 👌
@@LetsDoBonsai Thank you. I'll see how I get on. I've just got myself some small maple leaf seeds. Fingers crossed I have better luck with them. Thank you for all you hits and tricks 😁
@@LetsDoBonsai great things are happening! There is life from my new seeds. I've got about 20 shoots coming up and possibly more to come. I'm so chuffed! I got myself a nice little propagator container with a big clear lid. I put down a nice layer of compost, sowed the seeds, watered it all, then sprinkled a fine layer of none watered compost over the top. Popped the lid on with closed vent and left it by my balcony window. A week and a half later here we are. There is a nice build up of condensation inside on the container lid, which I assume is a good sign, so there is a small environment happening inside? I just want to know how do I keep and maintain growth of these new shoots? Do I need to water again at some point or is the idea of the propagator not to need to do that? Advice and tips very much welcomed at this moment right now. Cheers. Adam
Hi, am I supposed to open to bag from time to time? In one bag I can see some mold, does it mean the game is over? Or is there any way to still rescue this one?
Hey! I’ve come to the end of the 3 weeks of the first stage (in bags out of direct sunlight for 3 weeks) and I have some seedlings coming up, so I should not put them in the fridge or still do it??
Hello Scott I'm new to home growing got this kit for Christmas... I've attempted to have two goes at planting the bonsai tree, one of them has not started to grow yet so I will be placing it in the refrigerator...the other one has started to grow do I still place it in the refrigerator or does it now go outside or should I still leave in the bag still out of direct sunlight?.... Some help/advice would be great. Thank you in advance
@@ryantiller2953 hi Ryan, I’m a bit late but I saw a comment from the man doing the videos saying that if the seeds have germinated and started to grow without putting them in the fridge, then there’s no need to refrigerate. That’s the stage I’m currently at 🤞🏼 good luck - wondering how you got on?
Hello Scott, I've just got the Grow it Bonsai kit and I am very excited to start growing bonsai! I've had a look at your episodes for the kit and was wondering after you see sprouting grow, what do you do after? (of course after you've had it in the bag / refrigerated) would it then go into a normal plant pot? Sorry I am very new to this haha
@@LetsDoBonsai thank you, I will give it a go ad is, and see about sourcing the other bits in time. This was a gift given to my autistic son, really hope it works, though I'm not sure he'll be interested until something is visibly occurring so it's my baby in the meantime and what to do the best I can.
I have this kit and I’m completely new to this. its currently been in the fridge for just shy of 2 weeks, I have a 3/4cm sprout. Could I ask once I take it out the fridge do I remove it from the bag? And would you suggest only to water once soil looks dry ?
More little trees off to a good start!
That's a nice little propegator, nice to have that raised lid.
Drum-roll for the seeds please 😊 surprise trees incoming....fingers crossed again Scott. and thanks for the propagator link, they do look very handy 👍
That mini propagater is awesome. The height is a game changer. I always run into that issue. Excited to see what trees grow for you.

Probably a stupid question but do I need to keep watering while it's on the bag?
Very helpful thanks!

Open the bag from time to time to let fresh air in - you can scrape the white mole away it should be fine
@@LetsDoBonsai thanks! will do so :)
Thank you, you legend!
You're great! Thank you
Thank you so much!!!
Hello, Scott is there any chances of a ep 2 or update on the trio bonsai kit, thanks

Hello Naomi, shot in the dark here but hoping to see if you found out if once you can see if it started to grow of you still need to refrigerate it?

How did it go?
What do you recommend if I do not have the bonsai mix that you added and the extra soil on top? I have just the grow it box contents. Thanks
