When it was time for us to remove the infant insert from our Nuna Pipa RX car seat, we were so confused. The instruction manual didn’t really provide guidance on how to remove it just that we needed to remove it and which piece it was. We eventually figured it out. But we knew it removing the infant insert was confusing for us, then it must of been to other parents as well. Hope this video on how to remove the Nuna Pipa RX Infant insert is helpful!

@@katherinenewcombe3182guess what I ended up doing. I had hoped that for the time I spend searching the manual, downloading it, and looking for the instructions, I would be able to get a video demonstration in a significant lesser amount of time.

According to Nuna reps, only the low birth weight pillow needs to come out at 11 lbs, not the infant insert.
This is correct. I just thoroughly read through the Manuel multiple times and watched five or six different videos, but what she is holding in her hands at 5:26 is actually called the body support and should remain in the car seat. At least, if strictly going by the instructions. Both of my children started to feel a little bit snug even without the pillow that goes inside of that body support, but I think technically speaking, the wedge like pillow that can be taken out of the body support is what is supposed to be removed at 11 pounds.

After you pull out the insert that she shows, flip it upside down. There is a Velcro slot where you can remove the foam insert. Then the rest gets put back into the car seat.

the manual actually states the entire body support must be removed once the infant can fit snug without it-approximately 11 pounds.
when do you remove the headrest?
Once the infant insert is removed when do we adjust the harness? Do we keep it on the first slot ?
The slots have to be at shoulder level. You adjust harness in accordance to shoulder level with slot. There’s videos on yt on how and when to adjust harness

Do u have to move the infant head rest upwards as the baby grows? or is it not adjustable to their height?
You can move it and you should more it as the baby grows
I’m having the opposite problem… mine didn’t come installed and I have no idea how to put it in.
Hi, I’m about to have my second baby. I can’t figure out how to reinstall the head support securely. Is it just velcroed behind the fabric or through the wholes in the actual car seat? Anything would be helpful. Thanks for the insert tip.
For my model I felt without the body support, the head support was loose. If newborn, you would have to re-attach the body support as well (if same model as me). My head support straps velcro through the back fabric only not any deeper into the car seat. Once I removed the body support I definitely felt the head support was very loose but my baby was old enough to have the shoulder straps put back on and that helped a lot. With newborns, usually the shoulder straps are too big though. Not sure I was that helpful but that was my experience with it on my. mode. Hope you find some clarity soon. Sending love.

Thank you. Been trying to figure this out. The manual is terrible. I have the Nordstrom nuna pipa lite rx I got in Nov 2022. It’s slightly different from yours.
The insert has a pillow inside of it and I was wondering if that pillow part needed to come out but looks like the entire insert just comes out. Might call nuna and confirm. But thanks for the video.
Glad this was helpful! Agree the manual is not very clear! I had a friend that had a model with a pillow in it and she said she just took the pillow out but definitely confirm with Nuna to get the specific instructions to your model :)
I just removed the pillow for now, but I think the insert itself can eventually be removed as well. Holding on that until I can confirm. Baby is 15+ pounds and the insert is still comfy for him.
