Yes, all these seats come with shoulder pads. If you're putting in newborn I'm any of these seats the shoulder pads may be too bulky. I recommend taking them off until the babies are a bit bigger, usually around 3 months for a better fit.
For the Urbn the button a little more hidden. There is a slit where the tightening strap goes into the fabric of the car seat. The grey loosening button is in there.
How do you adjust the crotch belt like the guide says? It states 3 adjustments but there are only 2 openings. The diagram doesn’t reflect what’s on the car seat either.
@@carseatquicky.itysafety I figured out the problem. The guide's diagram is upsidedown for some reason... it was saying the buckle can thread one way to be shorter. What they meant was the underside metal adjustment piece could be threaded that way... but they had it where it looked like the buckle... and they said buckle... It was very odd.
Making sure your car seat installation is at the correct angle is also an important step. If you're using the Pipa base you need to make sure the bubble is touching the black line. Relx base has to be on level 1 or 2. If you're doing baseless, the blue line on side of car seat, needs to be level with ground.
The insert can just be pulled out. There is an infnat pillow inside the insert that has to come out once child is over 11lbs. Here is link to the video for Pipa Lite RX specifically. ua-cam.com/video/xF0Cmd6iF2U/v-deo.html
@@carseatquicky.itysafety thank you! we figured it out. it's really so hard to keep up with the changing products and safety according to child size/weight.
If you have Pipa RX the whole infnat pad comes out once child is over 11lbs, if you have any other Pipa model there is a little pillow inside the body pad that comes out once child is over 11lbs.
@cocoo342 Only the body pillow. The main goal is getting a good fit for the child, Nuna says approximately 11lbs. If you need to leave it in longer to get a good fit you can. The rule foe head support is that it has to be one slot above the shoulder straps, they can never be on the same slot. So once the shoulders are at highest slot you can't use head support pillow anymore.
I struggled so much trying to figure out how to adjust. Thank you so much for this video!
Glad it helped!
Thank you so much for making this quick and super informative video

Amazing video and explanations! Thanks so much

Excellent video! We got this car seat as a hand-me-down from friends and the infant insert and buckling were kind of confusing
Glad this helped! Let me know if you have any questions on your seat. Congrats!
I struggle with the shoulder pads. Should they slip up and down
@brittanyc5476 the shoulder pads can be moved up and down, but they should always be right on top of child's shoulder.
Thank you so much, this helps!!
Glad it helped!
Can you also adjust the head rest upwards when baby grows taller?
No, this version of the Pipa doesn't have an adjustable headrest. Only the Pipa Lite RX does.
@@carseatquicky.itysafety thank u for ur quick response!
I cannot find the button to loosen the straps on mine? It’s the nuna pipa lite car seat
On some Pipa models the button is not out in the open. There is a flap above the tightening strap where the loosing button is.
If you still cannot find it, check your owners manual. It will show exactly where it is.
Thanks for this comment! I was struggling trying to figure this out!

Doesn’t this have the little pad for the shoulder area?

When you take the infant insert out at 11 lbs, do you take the headrest part out too? I have the Nuna Pipa RX
Nuna does not specify that you have to use them together. The only piece that has to be removed once the child is over 11lbs is the body pillow.
Ok found that button. My nuna pipa urban has shoulder pads? Do I remove that for newborns tso I can pull the retainer clip to armpit level?
They are optional. It's a better fit without them for a newborn. If you really want to use the shoulder pads I'd wait till about the 3 month mark.
Is this also for papa rx urban? I cant find the grey button Help pls

Your title says nuna pipa lite but that’s the the video very annoying :)
The steps on buckling Baby in the car seat is the same for these 5 nuna pipa models. Was there something specific you are looking for?
