I'm 43.....And my husband passed so I still don't have any....no matter what society says I will get married again and if it is for me the baby will be healthy.

This was very helpful on so many levels. My professional atmospheres influenced my choice to have a baby at 40, plus I had a long list of things I wanted to accomplish before having one. I'm about to be 40 in a few months and I visited a OB/GYN with baby in mind. I am going through screening/testing//labs to accomplish my goals but I have been an emotional wreck even though I find my Doctor to be amazing with this process. I just kept thinking "you have missed your shot...let it go". I'm getting emotional writing this, thank you so much for this video, your knowledge and the way in which is was conveyed the message. I wish you and your channel much success.

Subscribed, thanks Doc! Great video and it was comforting to hear your personal story. It's very hard to trade off age for career.. I'm not a doctor, but a veterinarian and spent my 20s focusing on my career. The consequence is now having babies in my 30s. Thank you for the encouragement!

George Shannon the biggest risk at age 64yo is the risk of Down syndrome, but overall pregnancy rate goes down since the majority of women are menopausal by that time. .... but I’ve had a patient in her 60s before.
