Subscribed, thanks Doc! Great video and it was comforting to hear your personal story. It's very hard to trade off age for career.. I'm not a doctor, but a veterinarian and spent my 20s focusing on my career. The consequence is now having babies in my 30s. Thank you for the encouragement!

Nicole!!! I don’t think I’ve ever met another Mom who could articulate my feelings around this topic as well as you did! The guilt I felt when my best effort wasn’t enough was extremely difficult for me to bear emotionally. I spiraled, I would eventually get myself together...but not being able to nurse him was overwhelming. I also had a cyst, baby was tongue tied, inverted nipples, postpartum depression and anxiety, readmission to the hospital 4 days after delivery.... the list goes on and on. But, like you, I kept pumping! I exclusively pumped for 6 months, and I bottle fed him topless for skin to skin time. Almost 2 years after his birth the mere thought of not being able to nurse him makes me cry. And no one has ever seemed to understand why until now. Thanks for sharing! ✨💋
