I remembered this song in the early 79s at a hospital banquet . My husband didn't want to dance and a nice looking young man from the office ,in the hospital tall and a gentleman asked my husband for the last waltz with me. I wore a pale blue wrap around dress and he was in a handsome light blue suit. Those were the days of romance and fun. Never to get back again and only through memories. Loved the 60s and 70s. Time moves on and here we are in 2024. I feel so sad for the younger generation not being able to enjoy those years ,or know what it was like.Must go on but will never forget the past.

Yesterday, November 4, 2022, I had the opportunity to take my wife to see Engelbert sing live one more time to celebrate our 42nd. anniversary. This great singer, despite having physical problems, has not lost anything of his great voice. Best of all, my wife was thrilled to see her favorite singer so close to her. Time shouldn't go through this kind of stars that make us happy, and at the same time make us dream awake. Let's keep listening to Mr. Engelbert Humperdinck so that he will never be forgotten by the new generations.
I used to love listening to this song with my grandpa. Now he's gone, it gives me a sense on nostalgia, and along with it, a sense that I have lost an important part of my life. This song still brings back memories. Hope to see my grandpa again, on the other side, one day.

This song takes me back to when I was a child, my uncle ran a dance school in blandford, Dorset back in the sixties we use to dance to this it was a magical time.
You are not alone! This song reminds me the songs my Dad used to listen back in Mexico. When my parents were in their honeymoon they played every sunday the whole record from Engelbert… Now my Dad and Mom are dead. And big Thanks to Mr Humperdinck I get back to those memories with them! ❤

My uncle was a dance instructor back in the 1960s I was about 5 we use to go to the dance classes about 1965 to 66 it was magical in blandford Dorset UK 🇬🇧.

This brings me back to my youth, mom and my two sisters use to listen to this throughout the house in the early 70’s, they are gone now, but I can see them happy sitting in the living room listening to Englebert, Tom Jones, Andy Williams and so on. Not my music, but I don’t mind. Feeling sentimental.

Este gran cantante, a pesar de tener problemas físicos, no ha perdido nada de su gran voz. Lo mejor de todo es que mi esposa estaba encantada de ver a su cantante favorito tan cerca de ella. El tiempo no debería de pasar por este tipo de estrellas que nos hacen felices, y al mismo tiempo nos hacen soñar despiertos. Sigamos escuchando al Sr. Engelbert Humperdinck para que nunca sea olvidado por las nuevas generaciones.
