Happy Flashback Friday! Where were you in 1968?
Not even born yet
Happy Flashback Friday Engel.
I would have been days, from my first birthday 17th October ❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
10 years old & probably in school.
I was not born 😇😇😇😇
Happy Flashback Friday back.
Greetings from Germany.
Absolutely beautiful. Listening in 2024
I'm here too in 2024! Just saw him perform last night. He's amazing. And a very nice man. I talked to him briefly after the show.
The days when singers could really sing.
Conveying each word with precision, effecting 'easy-on-the-ear' listening.
He can sing, has charisma, and of course, he's handsome. He is easy to love.❤❤❤
This is 2024 and it sounds marvellous. Thank you Engelbert.
There is just something about Engelbert voice it]s just magical and makes me just fly. My father used to listen to a alot of records from Engelbert and now myself remembered some old songs from him and now i just can´t stop listening. It takes me back to my young days... oh those old days.
One of the best crooner with Tom Jones , Sinatra and Dean Martin !
Just touching to the point of tears. A voice for the ages
My favorite Engelbert Humperdinck song. Thank you so much for bringing so much joy with your beautiful voice.❤
Mine too.
I’m just lovin’ this song and his flawless voice.😇🎵🎶😘
my Mama died Mar 26! They played this song at the end of her funeral when the family was walking out....
❤️
A beautiful song to depart with God bless...
A 'timeless' classic song with an almost ethereal feeling, and sung by the great Engelbert Humperdinck. Wonderful!
Great song by a great singer
In 1968, I was 7 yes old. Love the music. I am 61, love the music even more.
Classic 60's music
Да че там 60-х. Сейчас как пронимает. Редко слышишь исполнение, что аж мурашки по коже. Ну или бабочки в животе, это как у кого)) Восхитительный исполнитель. Даже рядом кроме Синатры не вижу никого
What A Voice He Was Blessed To Give Us To Give Us This Great Music !
Not a note in his singing was ever missed. So smooth and beautiful every song he did. Never a voice like this. Engel is hundreds of times better than even Sinatra and any of those big guys they ever made a lot about. I don’t think there’s anybody’s voice out there that can carry a tune with the smoothness and the elegance that Engelbert has. Again thank you for many years of your beautiful music
Humps had much better pipes than Frankie did, but Frankie could craft a song like no other.
I think Engelbert's voice was strong and smooth at the same time. The first ten or so albums were terrific in the late 60's and early 70's.
It's just not fair - or at all necessary - to compare Engelbert to Sinatra in any way. Frank is in league of his own on multiple levels.
I love and appreciate them both in different ways and still spin their records today.
@@ohger1 He was ok. For his time. My mom lived in Westwood New Jerry when Sinatra Frst was playing in the high schools in Hackensack. Some of her friends would run to see him at the little dances.
I think Sinatra was a little bit overplayed. He had that mafia behind him
@@terryrandall3448 The mafia couldn't make people buy his records...
One of the top voices ever!
Beautiful song.
Beautiful song
Legend what a voice
This is my favorite Englebert song
Absolutely gorgeous!

@@JDHart I hope so
@@pennymajewski9747 I hope I get to see him perform once more too. 😊
He is d best of all pop singers
No doubt!
Les Reed and Barry Mason sure knew how to compose a tune, didn't they? And when it's sung by Engelbert, it results in a song that has long lasting listening quality
fabulous voice
One of my favorites! I was 16 years old in1968.
There can only ever be one Engelbert, top star, magnificent singer !
He has an amazing voice. Beautiful song.
Best singer ever; and he owns" this song; no one else could have done it this way !!!!!!!! Amazing !!!!!!!
I don’t think that most people could do his songs nearly as well as him!
What a beautiful voice ,I'm in love and his face soooo handsome!!!
I was 16 yrs. old, driving a gold super sport, black bucket seat, Chevy Impala! What a great back drop, it screamed 1960's! Then there was you, Engelbert! Such a handsome, young man, elegantly dressed, a voice so powerful and velvet smooth! They were great years! The song took me back to French class, Monsieur Blackburn.
Elderly gentleman that sometimes fell asleep and other times told wonderful stories of biking thru Europe! I didn't learn alot of french that year, but enjoyed all the stories!
He told me the meaning of my name, "beautiful!"
That’s awesome!
Brings back memories….
I was born in ‘65, but my first car was it ‘64 Chevy Belair.
I only wish I could’ve had a super sport!
I drooled at the thought of having a 409 in mine!
This is a fantastic son that Engelbert did so well!!!!
My mother was speechless in 1969
when I came into the room
heard right away
Is the best forever and ever🎶🎶👏🌹🌹👏👏👏
Just beautiful
Love you ❤️❤️❤️😘❤️
I have to admit that Engelbert's voice is the best among men
Hay una voz mejor,.es la de TOM CHAPLIN.
Still in love with him!!!!! He and his music are beautiful! He just warms my heart every time I hear him!
Engelbert, thank you for you existl
Very handsome Engelbert!
Love this beautiful song, the words are so sweet and meaningful. Thank you Engel for this beautiful (Much love and respect, from Belfast Northern Ireland) 🎵 🎶 🎵 😍❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Best male singer I've ever heard. His breathing is exceptionally unique. Never takes a gasp for breath like so many of the great singers. Just rides high notes smoothly and the instantaneously and seamlessly descends in to low notes, without any discernable change in his breathing whatsoever. You never hear that hissing sound like what many of the greats make, to gasp for a breath during any part of his songs. Amazing voice and unique singer.
..and very handsome as well at the time
Agreed, although this was a soundtrack recording that he was lipsyncing to. They tend to remove distractions like breaths during the editing process. But that doesn't take anything away from his amazing artistry; he was/is truly gifted.
EDIT: There's another recording on YT of him actually singing this song live; you can tell because the tempo is faster and he definitely takes more breaths during phrases. But his phrasing is still great and the power on his top notes is wonderful, just like in his recordings.
Wish we could time travel back to these wonderful years so I could go to many more of your concerts. Listening to this beautiful song is so nostalgic. Remember, we love you.
I love Engelbert voiceee❤
Its so long time .,since I hear this song ,this song was one og my favorit for long time ago 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I was 10 and growing up in Belfast my father was a merchant seaman and brought my mother the last waltz and release me she adored your voice and I fell in love with you and your voice way back then💖
I was born in ‘65, and still remember my parents loving his music.
- from the ‘70s through the ‘80s.
Nobody, my age was listening to him, but I did, and I still like him today.
One of the most loveliest songs with such a beautiful tune♥️ Engelbert not only sings this with his outstanding voice, but uses the loveliest hand movements to express the beauty of the lyrics in the song 🎶🎵♥️ He puts his whole being into every song he sings. That’s why he is a world treasure ♥️ I dearly love this song♥️

Lyrics:
Turning and turning, the world goes on
We can't change it, my friend
Let us go riding now through the days
Together to the end
Till the end
Les bicyclettes de Belsize
Carry us side by side
And hand in hand, we will ride
Over Belsize
Turn your magical eyes
Round and around
Looking at all we found
Carry us through the skies
Les bicyclettes de Belsize
Spinning and spinning, the dreams I know
Rolling on through my head
Let us enjoy them before they go
Come the dawn, they all are dead
Yes, they're dead
Les bicyclettes de Belsize
Carry us side by side
And hand in hand, we will ride
Over Belsize
Turn your magical eyes
Round and around
Looking at all we found
Carry us through the skies
Les bicyclettes de Belsize
Hermoso Engelbert..recuerdos!!!!! Presioso 🎼🎶🎶🎶💖🇦🇷
This is beautifully done. What a voice.
There was a short film from 1960s. There was a singing young man riding on a bicycle followed by a young girl riding a tricycle. People in that short film keep on singing beautiful old songs. That is what I know about the "Les Bicyclette de Belsize". Oh outside that short film, beside Engelbert Humperdinck, there was a young small beautiful French singer singing the same song, but she sang it in French.
Where are the men like this today?
The best singer my favorite
Love this song! He
Looks so good
Талант и красавец !
This is vocal perfection by the inimitable Mr Engelbert Humperdinck ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
