- Today on Unscripted Honesty we take a look at the weird world of early Super Mario Bros. artwork, before Nintendo decided to 100% regulate how the characters looked. Some weird and wacky stuff here.

The toy chest art I think is also on some Jetix DVD release of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show. Didn't even realize how far that art has gone lol

So why is their a portrait of Captain Crunch on the upper right wall of Mario's living room for the promotional artwork of the Super Show? (Also yea make more videos like this!)
I think for the Toy Chest and coloring book, if more looked surprised it would come across as more natural.

How about looking at art for Street Fighter?
Most of Pac-Man's artwork looks pretty allright but some stuff like the american flyer for the original Pac-Man looks so strange and that american Pac-Man 2 box art,which i kinda like but Pac-Man looks absolutely terrified in that but yeah and i'm sure you can also find a lot of weird Pac-Man art in some magazines etc.
Actually there's a lot of weird American Pac-Man art in the 80s because of the abstract nature of the game and no one regulating his design. Like this was official art made for Pac-Man: images.app.goo.gl/h9hkSiwajEyC5ry68
@@ArtificialOrangeStudios I have seen that art before but i guess i forgot that it was supposed to be Pac-Man i think i saw it in someone's video covering like Video game magazines and yeah that art is so strange looking

@@ArtificialOrangeStudios if you wanna do another video on Mario art, and it’s focused on the artstyle similar to the boxart, you should check out the Mario Menko cards of 1985. The way Mario is drawn (especially when he has stubby legs), it’s possible that the Super Show Mario is mostly based on Miyamoto’s design of Mario. The Menko cards also give us more of the power ups, the enemies, different locations, and a better look on Toad, Peach and Bowser (prior to Kotabe’s redesigns). There's 40 cards that you can look over; look up "mariomenko".
I don't think Toad is giving the finger, it's more like he's pointing at something.
Maybe, but he's not using the finger one would typically point with, seeing as there is a knuckle to the right and left of it.
